Yes, especially family & friends because some take The Most High for granted perhaps unknowingly but still. I asked the Holy Spirit to come into my life and take control and I never looked back. I was baptized at the age of nine but since then I was enjoying myself living in sin and focused on my wants & desires and everything seemed great until one day as an adult a disaster struck (the loss of a loved one) and I went down into a deep depression. I didn't eat nor sleep. I cut off everyone. It seemed my spirit to do anything had left me. I remember I was in the bathtub one night just sitting and crying and I declare I heard a voice say, "It's not over". There was no one in the house at the time though and I was wondering where that voice came from. After my bath, I went to grab my bible, opened it up, and the first scripture was Psalm 121:1. I read it twice and realized God was with me but I didn't feel worthy. I decided to re-dedicate myself to God and got baptized again. I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit and in that moment it seemed like the angels in heaven were rejoicing and there was a calmness in my midst. Not long afterwards though it seemed all hell broke loose! One bad thing after another happened. Things on my job, things where I lived, things in my family, and even in my health. I honestly felt like a female Job. I remembered Job's story from years ago in my life so I decided to read it again. That's when I said that if Job could remain faithful after all that happened to him, so could I. I prayed to The Most High for strength and I made it my business to read the bible more and began to understand that in my early years of having fun and not about God's business, the devil left me alone. As soon as I started taking God seriously by keeping His commandments and turning my life around, that got the devil's attention, and he went on the attack! I wasn't sure if I was being judged for the sins of my past or if God was testing my faith. I chose to believe that I was being tested like Job, and I wanted to pass all those tests by speaking scriptures to my circumstances. I remembered how Christ was being tempted in the wilderness and each time spoke scriptures to the temptation and did not succumb to the devil's tactics. I believed that I could do anything in Christ that strengthens me and that I could rise above my circumstances with Christ at the helm. God said that if His people who are called by His name will humble themselves and turn from their wicked ways, pray, and seek His face, He will hear from heaven. Of course I love my family & friends but I will cut them off if they are stiff necked about striving for righteousness. I don't want their demons to corrupt my spirit. All I can do is pray for them and ask God to send the Holy Spirit to them. She can give them wisdom that will save their souls if they're willing to receive Her. A lifestyle change is more than what affects the body!
