    This is how you perform a drive cycle for adaptive learn after repairing internal transmission components. You must clear KAM and previously learned strategy. Program the strategy to the vehicle. Drive to operating temp. Then perform the relearn.
    You do not need to do this for a filter and.fluid change. Only drive to get it to temp to check fluid level.

    Kyle and nick up at Edison motors pulled my transmission and 6.7 and the rear axle and installed the hybrid electric setup with the little 3 liter generator. Don’t gotta do all this learning stuff, just get in it and drive. Shit tons more power and torque.

      @@larryphillips4164 because you installed a hybrid electric setup. If you were to just change out the transmission assembly and go back with the same one. Or performed internal repairs you would have to. That setup sounds sweet

    Middle of the winter in Michigan, -2 degrees, 6 inches of snow on the roads, dealership in a busy metro area with no back roads. How on earth does Ford expect this to be done? Is there an alternative way? Or will it eventually learn itself?

    • @BeardedFordTech
      @BeardedFordTech  3 месяца назад +2

      @hdz12ez nope. Has to be done. Just have to drive it to get it to temp and get out of the metro area on a backroad otherwise it will never learn.

    What about when you change filter and fluid? Do you need to do anything or just get the job done and move along nothing to see here folks?

    what damage can occur if you disable the learning feature and, what are the pros and cons of leaving it disabled, should one wish to do so. this is with regards to the Ford 6 speed trans
    Thank you.

    • @BeardedFordTech
      @BeardedFordTech  2 месяца назад +2

      @TheBeagle58 well if you put new components in its going to have to relearn like I did in this video. After about 100-200 miles you can turn off adaptive learn (with a computer) so it's not trying to constantly learn stuff. It just keeps that memory. I've turned it off for people and they seem to run great.

      @@BeardedFordTech Ah ok. I did a week long test with my sport Ecoboost Explorer and found the vehicle actually felt better with it disabled. Wasn't sure if not having it active would cause some kind of damage to the unit. I put learning back on today's and I miss it already. If it won't harm it, I'll be disabling it again before the end of the week. I cleared the table before the disable. Shift points feel a little sharper and predictable and overall better in the rpm band when needed

    These new trucks are junk. Why do you need a complicated 10-speed when a 4-speed tranny is just fine. Maybe you might get two or three miles per gallon with the expensive time bomb.

      6 speeds were awesome. Haven't had issues with my 10 speed. But. It's the manufacturer having to abide by epa rules for fuel mileage is what it boils down to in all reality.
