It’s great that you mentioned the influence European/British boot styles had on today’s American heritage boots. It’s not often spoken about. But the US has certainly evolved the art into something special.
Sometimes you've got let go and just wear those things. Its nice to keep them looking pristine but those wrinkles creases scrapes and general wear aren't just neglect. They can be harbingers of positive memories...like that time I scuffed my boots with coarse grains of sand on the beach, they are faint but a great memory of an awesome day with friends. I would be so scared to condition those Kreosotes near the eyelets they are so close. Those double midsole Role Club are so stunning, making me want to get a similar combo from Indonesia
I think the work heritage boot was invented during the industrial period in the USA but the bootmaker skills date back from old Europe. Best boots is a difficult one because you could divide it in the toughest boots and the best looking boots. I still think USA makes the best toughest boots. Maybe Japanse/Indonesian/Chinese make beautiful boots. Resume: for me the toughest boots are the most important.
Best boot's are Trickers and Crockett and Jones, I'm biased living in the Northamptonshire borders, England, both less than 20 minutes away, had factory tours, built to exacting standards. My Trickers Burford and one pair of Henry are 40 years old, my C and J Coniston getting on 30 years old and still in amazing condition
Could you, please, write the names of the producers you mentioned (including the three that you mentioned later in the video, which you didn't show)? It would be helpful, as I'm not sure how to spell them in order to search. I'm especially interested in the Georgian that you've mentioned, as I've never heard of him.
Hi, the boots shown from left to right on your screen are, Quan Shoemaker (website is now “homkboots”), Flame Panda (which is only on “instagram”), Kreosote, & Role Club. The other three mentioned are, “Clinch”(Japan), “White Kloud”(Japan) & “Nanucella”(Georgia).
I know, I had to give them a shout out. They in themselves are a category. The Indonesians may be some of the best bootmakers! That’s why I left it with a question mark. The Indonesian boots are mostly what’s on my top shelf.

This was a super cool video. Those green colored ones are beautiful. Keep up the boot videos this was interesting.
Thanks so much for the shoutout brother!!! Amazing video

I lay my boots on their side when storing them using gravity as my friend and pack them tight with thick socks in the toe box.

I missed a little bit of philosophy in this video! But the boots are incredible indeed :)
Great boots John, one day I will get a pair of high end boots, big fan of Role Club but those Quan boots look awesome.
I was really surprised by the Quan’s. The finishing is immaculate

I agree, the toughness of US boots surpassed the beautiful and delicate boots, and their price surpassed their toughness.
Beautiful boots.

Okay! I will have to check into those
I have Crockett and Jones Chelsea 5 boots in a sandy suade color. Love those boots and the way they have patina and are broken in.
Very nice boots all of them, you have a fantastic collection
The FlamePandas look awesome. I never see high quality green leather boots.
Who's in the basement sir?😂😂
You do know that if any of those boots are size 11.5 I will sacrifice myself and take them off your hands. :D
Nice man. Nice. 🥾

Why didn’t you include some of your Indonesian boots?

I like the flame pandas, but I just can’t get behind them. I have however supported Mexican, Italian, Canadian, Columbian, and Indonesian boot makers.

If I become rich I'm definitely gonna buy these boots
Don’t buy a Harley or a sports car, or a speed boat, just buy boots!
