Yes the movie is called Electric Dreams, basically it's about a nerd who buys a pc (in the 80s computers were brand new), he likes the woman who lives above him and shes a musician, cello player I think. Anyways the computer starts to have feelings for the woman too (yes the 80s lol) and tries to sabatoge the guy from getting the girl so the computer can have her. It sounds diabolical but it definately is a cutely strange little love story.
That's the 12inch extended version, if you look at 1.15 it tells you. Most groups would put out a 12inch remix version after a 7inch. Still sounds ok though.
You say this reminds you of Never Ending Story...... The reason is Giorgio Moroder. He wrote Together in Electric Dreams and composed/produced Never Ending Story. Listen to Donna summer/Giorgio moroder I feel love and The Chase by Moroder from Midnight Express. Maybe the Scarface soundtrack will grab you.... in particular, Tonys Theme. Absolutely LOVE your reaction BTW. x
This is an extended DJ re-mix version with extra percussion. The movie name is Electric Dreams. Awesome song of computer falling in love with a girl ! You should watch it kiddo.
This is from the movie electric dream’s! The singer is the guy from the new wave band “The Human league!” It is one great catchy tune!👌😎👍this song is a New Wave tune! New wave was hot in the 80s!
I have the album. Shorter version, which I like better. Great voice! Songwriter Giorgio Moroder wrote many familiar electronic songs, some included in movies. I Feel Love - Donna Summer, & Flashdance (What A Feeling) - Irene Cara, among others.
Hi, Love your eye makeup in hold "hold me now." So, let me clear something up for you. Giorgio Moroder, the composer, composed the music for the movie "The never ending story." He also composed the music for this song and the soundtrack. So there is your answer.
6:15 "Don't tell me it like activates something and it like, comes alive... or like something stupid like that" Well uhhhhhhh you're right on the money, this movie is a love triangle between the guy, the girl, and the computer. It's definitely a bit of a cheesy mid-80s movie but it's actually surprisingly good. MINOR SPOILERS BELOW . . . . . . . In fact, in the movie the computer is the one who wrote this song lmao
Edgar (the computer) was asked by Miles to write a love song as he was running out the door. Edgar asked Miles what a love song is. Miles said song is music with words, love is tough, just "use these words and phrases". So Edgar the computer just cooked up this song with the cheesy words and phrases. Pretty funny but it was the theme of the movie. Boy George and Culture Club had good tunes in the movie too.
The computer kept being shown because the 1980s were the start of the digital age we are in now in 2023. There were endless songs being written about this back then, infact a whole album devoted to it by Buggles which included the first song ever shown on MTV called "Video Killed The Radio Star". I remember how literally magical, mystical and exciting this was to me as a teenager back then. Obviously I feel very different about it now, knowing what we do about the things being brought in to control our lives in bad ways. But back in the 80s it seemed like an exciting boundless frontier, making our lives seem brighter, more advanced and ultra modern.
This is from the movie Electric Dreams. The singer was the lead singer of the Human League. A popular 80s band. Your parents would know.

Female lead Virginia Madsen is really beautiful in Electric Dreams movie. The dream girl of every GEEK from that era. And she had wonderful hairstyle
One of the best songs I’ve heard in movies in it makes me movie work great song
His name is Miles. He mistyped it, so the computer calls him Moles for the rest of the movie. 🤦♂️😂

It was one of the first movies to have a premise of the existence of AI and its impact in a “not quite so connected” world.

Need to watch this great movie. You'd really understand the video much more.

This is an extended intro and some inserts near the end - still a great song though. Watch the movie, it's actually a powerful message on AI.

It's *Never ending story" the name of the film.
You wouldn't guess Phil Oakey is from Sheffield....aye oop lass, living in t'electric dreams bai goom
This an extended mix, for the movie I expect. Best if you listen to the 45 single, the original.
This is probably the 12 inch version. Way longer than original. Not as good in my opinion. Have always loved Human League and Phil..
Felicidades por el contenido, un saludo.
