Can you tell me what the length of the arm is on this machine? I have the Adler 30-10 and it measures 18"+ on mine. I'm trying to figure out if the 30-70 has a longer arm and I can't find any definitive specs online. Any help appreciated, thx!
We use one of these in our shoe repair store and are having problems with the thread looping, thread breaking and missing stitches and unable to get the nice long stitch. We have replaced worn parts and are still having problems. Repair persons are not available in our area. Any ideas

How thick of leather?

You need to adjust the string tension at the top. Thats the first thing that causes bad stitches. Do this before replacing any parts.
