Hopefully a helpful one for those new to the platform!
Great video man! Viper is still looking awesome!!
Thanks!!! Hope Asheville is still treating you good. Attended any car meets out that way yet?
@@ChaosCarClub not yet but there's a cars and coffee this Saturday maybe a hour from me I'm hoping to attend!
@@ryanscarz if you spot any vipers you'll have to text me pics!
so helpful and well explained.....much appreciated.
@@spearlmanrealestate thanks for the feedback and for checking out the video! Always happy to help!
Didnt know about that last middle jack point. Thanks!!!
Happy to help!! Thanks for checking out the video 😎
thanks, very helpful
Happy to help!! Thanks for watching 😎
I use two small racing floor jacks on either side to lift. I keep one of them in the trunk for flats.
Not a bad idea! Any particular type of tie down to keep the jack from sliding around?
I have a small rug over the spare and the jack sits down into it and against the bulkhead. You could use a ratchet strap around the bottom of spare to really secure. I have a Gen 2.@@ChaosCarClub
I installed a ground kill switch in the trunk above the battery in my Gen 2 R/T10 because it's seasonal. My Challenger R/T is also seasonal but the battery has to be accessed to be disconnected.
@@31terikennedy I keep everything on battery tenders. Set it and forget it 🙂 don’t have to worry about resetting radio dials or anything that way too
It's simpler to disconnect and the car should be started once a month.@@ChaosCarClub
I use a glove or rags so it doesn't scratch.
@@jazzcat5950 good call!!
I don't want a viper but I want a viper but I don't want it but I really would love to have a viper but I don't want a viper but I do
Hahahahahaha the consensus is ultimately always “yes you want a viper!” 😎
I have to get a single rear wheel repaired. Can I leave one corner of the car on a jack stand for a couple days??
Few days isn’t a biggie. Definitely wouldn’t want to store it like that or anything but I’ve had one corner jacked up for a long weekend and didn’t think twice about it.
@@ChaosCarClub awesome! Glad to have you as a resource broski.
What jack are you using boss man?
Nothing fancy. Harbor freight super low profile 2 ton jack.
Been a minute. You get your car sorted finally?
@ChaosCarClub I don't need fancy, I need low!
The car and motor are currently at ViperExchange, just waiting for the email to pick it up once it's done
@@whitejodeci8926 I hear that! That is the lowest one I could find.
Nice!! Still planning to offload it once you get it back or decided to hang on to it for a little bit?
@@ChaosCarClub I ended up buying some quickjacks for 700, I figured that's harder for me to mess up!
Mann, I'm still on the fence. I'm paranoid about something else going wrong, but I'd hate to go through all this and give someone else a perfect car for nothing
@@whitejodeci8926 aye that works! Easier too!
Hahahaha I hear ya on that. You’ve been thru the ringer! I would maybe feel it out when you get it back at least before making a decision
