@@quinton7854 hahahaha I feel ya. I got the Fun Haver wheel at HyperFest for a discounted price thankfully. I would recommend if you get a chance at a car show or event that might have a NRG wheel and also a MPI wheel to get hands on with them both. The quality is worlds apart.

@@jooshallen895 I hate dealerships can’t be upfront and honest about the condition of vehicles. Not like you won’t see it for yourself. Too busy trying to make a sale but leaves a bad taste in your mouth for sure. When I bought my viper I was told it had no leaks and as soon as I saw it the oil cooler lines were pouring oil. 🤦‍♂️

So as your looking at the can the way we mounted it in the video it would be right in and left out

​@ChaosCarClub well the engine is stock but I modified other things to make it the ultimate reliable comfortable beautiful daily driver.. bilstein b6 shocks with upgraded sway bars, head lights to c8 style, tail lights to infirai, led side markers, cf front splitter, cf zr1 extended spoiler, black c7 zo6 rep wheels at stock ride height with r35s in rear and 45s in front so no scraping or fear of inclines or speed bumps, Max din 10.1 inch screen, mgw short shifter, NPP exhaust with x pipe and wild to mild kit to make the exhaust truly active to where you can open and close valves at will, led cf steering wheel, led interior lights, ati pinned harmonic balance, glass roof.. some other little cosmetic mods like cf emblems and leather elbow arm rests, tint etc all on 2010 black base 3LT.. car looks drive sounds and feels amazing the car kicks so much a55 I enjoy the heck out of it and all the mods I did add so much they were all well thought out to say the least...

@ Oh yeah you’ve been busy as that’s quite the list! I’m eyeing some of those same mods like the MGW short throw, extended zr1 spoiler, and led side markers. I’m so torn on headlights. I go back and forth on the c7 vs c8 styling. For the active exhaust do you have a button in the cabin to toggle open/closed? I’ve heard about the harmonic balancer being an issue on the LS2. Is that also something to consider for the LS3?

@@whitejodeci8926 goes to the dealership day after Christmas to hopefully get that sorted. There was a service bulletin reported for that rattle being a problem. So hopefully won’t cost me much if anything. Tape thankfully solved it temporarily and got me home

It only would happen at a very slow speed like when pulling in and out of a parking spot. I’m guessing that was the same thing you experienced. Good luck with the GS, beautiful car. Enjoy the mods.

@ChaosCarClub ive been out of the loop, did you keep your gen 4?

@ all good! Nah I’m offloading my Mustang and Camaro in place of the vette. Trying to consolidate some space. Can’t fit everything under one roof right now. 1 car ends up on rotation in my mom’s garage at all times. But the gen 4 is likely a lifer. Only way I think I could give it up was either an insane cash offer or if I got to where I couldn’t drive it anymore

@@reginalee5778 100% appreciate Paul and his expertise with helping look over the car. This one was tough to walk away from especially being such low mileage but ultimately I think the potential electrical issues would have ended up a long term headache. Bummer on the Camaro! Did you ever end up owning one similar? That body style Camaro is one of my favorites and if I ever strike it rich it will join the lineup!

thanks so much for checking out the video. that was a hard car to walk away from but the wiring and electrical gremlins is definitely one thing that terrifies me. I ultimately want to enjoy driving a relatively maintenance free car vs chasing wires in the garage all day!

@@louieluay odd! You went with the swift spring upgrade too? From everything I read those provided the closest ride to stock. I have been nothing but pleased with the way mine ride. I did have the car professionally aligned afterwards too. And just for comparison the car rides like a sports car and not a luxury vehicle. But it’s on par with any other ride quality. Similar to a Corvette, Mustang, etc.

​@@ChaosCarClub Thank you for responding , yup I got the swift spring upgrade. It feels like the preload is set too high. Do you know if you had to zero your preload with the swift springs?

@@louieluay preload was the one thing I was very careful about not tampering with as I figured I’d never be able to manage to get it set back correctly. Did you order from BC directly? I would maybe call/email and see if they can provide some baseline settings to potentially help your setup as something definitely sounds off. Not sure where you are located but if you’re anywhere near central NC I’d be happy to compare ride quality with ya

@@NorthernMustangs 😳😬 yikes I never encountered any of that play you are describing. Everything is nice and tight with no slop. I wonder if you somehow ended up with the wrong hub?

@@ChaosCarClub I even ordered another 179H hub and it was same. - I did see one another video and clearly the shaft does sit recessed slightly maybe .25" inside the hub ( hub does not sit flush down on the shaft )so that gave me some comfort but with all the torque I can give I still have very slight left/ right movement on the wheel before the Shaft turns ( rocking or clocking before biting ) which gives me discomfort I love the set up when was installed as got a few weeks out of it and was using a quick dis hub also and adjusted quickly to the difference in lever depth just possibly going to reinstall the oem wheel and see if it fits tight or did i damage the shaft at all while removing my oem wheel or driving with a not to tight fit hub - keep you posted thanks for your quick response
