- Cliffe Knechtle has a great conversation with college students at a campus in the southwest US.
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.
Yes, without a doubt Pastor Cliffe is a very gifted man of God that clearly communicates with sincere conviction and humility.I attended his church for the first time on Easter Sunday 2016. I continue to attend "religiously" because I have never before witnessed a preacher deliver biblical inspiration in a manner that is easily understood and makes me truly desire to live a Christian principled life. I've met with him. He is very direct and has given me good reason to learn about and to strengthen my faith. His son's are following in his footsteps and are also tremendous shepherds of his growing flock.

I was living with same sex attraction for years until I got serious about my walk with Jesus, & he was able to help me with my chains I now am married with 3 children & am the happiest I have ever been I never thought this could be possible but God is good and yes we go through pain but God turns those things into Wittness for him may you continue to preach and help others God bless you sir.

The girl mentions Jeremiah 29:11 and suggests that God has plans for us. The problem is that she is not using that passage in context. God didn't give that promise to everyone, it was specifically for those in exile. That promise was part of a letter. You have to go back to verse 1 to read who the promises are for.

Actually, yes. Of course I can. Scientists have proved beyond reasonable doubt that common descent is the correct view of origins, Most christians also realize that common descent is correct. Some still refuse to accept it due to loyalty to a literal biblical view. I do not make that assumption and stick with science.

If you want to get into the discussion of chromosomes that resemble ape chromosomes and even closer to bananas, I would be happy to point you to some scientific studies for that.
I just want you to think about this. You can find similarities in everything on earth and how they are related.
Is it that much of a jump to think that trees, oranges, elephants and humans have common design because maybe there was a common designer?
Or does your theory make more sense that there is commonality because a single cell 4.5 million years ago some how learned to reproduce itself and have descendants that became grass, apples, elephants and humans and all the other living things on earth? Even though that has never been observed.

So the observed world can imply a common designer or common descent. Which is it? Evidence surely will be definitive
Lets look at languages which are known to evolve through time by common descent. Language groups have unique regional characteristics such as latin groups and asian groups structure differently. (Are you well? or Well, are you?) These distinct geographical features result from common descent which can be tracked through history.
Animal groups such as marsupial mammals in Australia all have pouches and is explained by common descent in exactly the same way. This biogeography cannot be predicted or expected by special design theory.
I am happy to discuss genetics of apes which biologists agree share a common ancestor with humans. I have seen data misrepresented to undermine science and I will not be persuaded by cherry picking the data to lead to different conclusions than what scientists already understand. The human chromosome #2 is the result of chromosomal fusion in an ancestor as they are separate in all other great apes.

Cliffe I would like to share my testimony about the audible part from God. Fourteen years ago, I was fairly a new born again and started the journey from there. There became a time where I actually fasted for 7days (only water) with a brethren from my church. We had men's fellowship and we were praying deeply in the gifts of tongues. Suddenly during prayer I heard the Lord call out to me in an audible voice but my mind thinking it was one of the men praying but the voice was saying my name but I said nothing because I didn't know what to say? It repeated called my name. I quickly stopped and opened my eyes to see if was one of the men so I looked around and did 360 degree and noticed all the men were still praying.
That was the only time I ever received an audible voice from God. I found out that fasting and praying was the key to hearing from God apart from his word the holy bible but for some reason I got too comfortable in church and never tried it again. I still don't know why I never hunger to do it again? For me I was content with what I had which was the love of God.
I may still rebel against our Lord and savior, however, one thing for sure is the lord knows all and sees all :)

I am an illusionists who reveal all types of illusions. And I can assure you, no magician had never done nothing as Jesus did in the exact same way the Bible describes it, and we can get into tons of example between magicians have done and as the Bible premise originally describes it.
This is why education into this deceitful form of art is important up to a point and how modern technology comes in into the consideration on the limits of the magic and the real difference of a miracle.

I've noticed on all or most of these videos that these kids are kind of obsessed with homosexuality. When I was in that age bracket my friends and circles never really spoke or thought about it or were tormented about it......just an observation in these videos it's a huge issue with these kids. I think the media/teachers have programmed these kids and even young Christians that if you just disagree with the lifestyle that you are a bigot or a hateful person....pretty sad
The church’s position on homosexuality stands out as a huge moral failure on the church’s part. It’s easy to see why murder and theft are sin but homosexuality makes no sense to be objectionable to sensible people and yet it has some weird spotlight in Christian ethics. And when met with a weak arbitrary “because that’s what god designed and his purpose” it only makes the youth doubt more. It’s exactly this failure of explanation that is turning the youth away from the church. Evidence is something expected on a hypothesis. On the hypothesis “the Bible is true” we’d not expect it to get things wrong as it’s supposedly divinely inspired. If it’s wrong on homosexuality then it’s not some divine work. So the students are just taking an obvious moral incorrectness and attacking it.
The pastor here also just doesn’t grasp the arguments made. People don’t say “it’s natural therefore good” they say “it’s natural” as a counter to the explanation that it’s wrong being “it’s unnatural.” So we need an explanation why it’s wrong because it’s not due to the traditional answer which was “it’s not natural.” We now know that’s false. So why is it bad?
@@TartarusPU death is written all over the homosexual lifestyle, they lead both in deadly and non-deadly diseases, they have the highest suicide rate of any minority even when they step out of a religious country like Sweden where they have conducted long term studies and have determined that the suicide rate actually goes up especially when trans surgeries are performed on them.
They have to celebrate pride one of the deadliest sins in order to cope with their sadness.
We all struggle with something in life, murder, theft, sexual immorality etc. That doesn't mean homosexuals are less than those who don't have those feelings or urges.

Should the church treat people in africa poorly because their “lifestyle” has the highest infection rates of HIV in the world so much so that nearly 20% of South Africa has hiv? Something like 5% of gay people in America have hiv for comparison. Of course you’d not say that about africa right? And even if I grant the suicide rate increases after surgery for trans peeeps (which this is debated btw) the question about trans people is whether the suicidality is increased BECAUSE of the surgery or because of social issues following the surgery. I’m betting it’s the latter not the former. Which btw the church has a huge hand in contributing to views that cause that so the blood is on your heads, not theirs (in complete irony with what Leviticus says).
Younger generations are waking up to the horrendous views of the church. Peddling lies and pretending you’re justified won’t last much longer bc free information is revealing you to be charlatans but feel free to continue. It’s amazing seeing the exodus from the church.

ive never heard anything or anyone who has a better evidence or reason for living than Jesus Christ. and when many people accuse me of being narrow minded they also show that they are too lazy to check the evidence or don't want to because they want to stick to their own worldview even if they often have little evidence for it, its often assumed. Possibly those who disagree with your reasons are not lazy but follow other evidence. Cliff says they're lazy but that might not be true. He says 500 witnesses to Jesus resurrection. One bible verse has one anonymous author (saying there were 500 witnesses) is ONE witness. How easy to delude people and pretend that evidence exists.
So that is your reason for not believing the scriptures? Do you therefore disbelieve all historical documents because no one can reproduce the eye witnesses for you?

Not quite. I have many reasons to disbelieve the Bible. It claims that Jesus turned water into wine and he had no earthly father and he rose bodily from the dead. These things are so close to impossible that I cannot pretend to think they happened for real. These records are written decades after the 'fact'. The author, or authors are anonymous. They were written in Greek. Claims made with no evidence should be dismissed immediately. Big claims require good evidence. These stories are easily understood by errors through 'chinese whispers". If the Bible says 'Heli begat Joseph, I have no reason to believe or to doubt. If the Bible says ''God took a rib from Adam; a serpent in the garden; the waters parted, etc. I have a duty to my sanity to suspect its accuracy.

I read the Gospels of the accounts of Jesus Christ and I could find no fault. You have the same problem we all have. Talking serpents and mules and guys walking on water and raising people from the dead? Sounds like a lot bologna even to Christians.
But after studying these 66 books that spanned thousands of years and from Book number 1, when God saw man degenerating into what we are now and said He would send someone to correct all of it, it hasn't failed.
We all try to figure out what the hell is going on in this world and why is it so screwed up. There is only one narrative that makes sense.

Questioner says every other option to Christ hasn't been explored. Well, there's only two kinds of religions in the world. All of the world religions say: "Do". But Jesus says, "Done!" On the cross He said, "It is finished." Nobody spoke like Christ before Him, and nobody has disputed Him after the fact. All of history hinges on the cross. They looked forward to the redeemer in faith, and we look back to Him in faith. And without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

It's amazing how Cliffe totally avoided the question from the 1st student. It's a good question, from a Christian "why is only Christianity right, and the rest of religion is wrong?". What Cliffe should do is demonstrating the rightfulness of Christianity and explaining the wrongfulness of other religions.
Instead, he weirdly put up money, as a god (!?), and criticized the idolization of money, which is totally irrelevant, and then at the end turned back into relationships (supposedly with God and Jesus) and "how you suppose to be charitable, and do good things for people", as if Jesus is the one that taught human beings all of that. Wow, just wow!

Minh Pham I understand but from their position they can justify rightfulness. All religions have acts of good especially Islam, and Hinduism. The more good things you do their view it gets you into heaven. That is rightfulness in their view. There's many things wrong with that but in essence that is their justification.

I do not need to explore any other options for the belief I have right now already has an overwhelming amount of evidence that is not refutable. Evidences in the form of prophecies slowly unfolding, historical facts, are just some of it.

That is what it comes down to. I hate no one, but sin is sin. There is nothing wrong with being same sex attracted, but there is a lot wrong with saying that preference is who you are & therefore you are justified to follow that preference. You made one part of yourself your entire identity. That is dangerous.
Imagine you lost that drive or the ability to express it. What does that do to who you are? It is crushing. What if that identity was your job or financial stability? What happens when you lose the job? What happens when your finances reverse?
You have placed who you are in a finite thing that can be ripped from your hands at any moment. You are you then? Lost & odds are looking to end it to avoid the crisis.
You are not your sexuality or a job, but a person made in God's image. That cannot be taken unless you give it up, that is a major difference. You can lose a sex drive or a job or security, but not God. Note I said God, not religion.
I place who I am in something outside myself that is eternal. Because of that, who I am is safe. It doesn't magically fix all my problems, but it does let me know I am not my circumstances.

Jesus prophesied his death and resurrection multiple times. If someone were to do that today, you would undoubtedly trust every word that came from their mouth. Consecutive fulfilled prophecy leads to trust.

When Christ says "my God my God" it is in reference to Psalms 22. Not because He doubted the plan of God. He knew it from the start.
True, but why would He just repeat something from Psalms without any purpose to it? Was He doubting God? I don't think so, so I sort of agree with you. I think He was showing that He had become sin and the curse and the Father could not look upon Him. A better example of doubt would be John the Baptist when He sent his messengers to Jesus asking if he was the promised messiah. He was one person you would never think would have doubt, but he is the greatest prophet according to Christ and he still had his moment of doubt. God Bless.
Fred Pickles He used Psalms 22 as an example of a know prayer at the time. The promise was finished in him. The psalm 22 prayer looks as a moment by moment narration pf the Passion. He cried that so that those who knew the Psalm would know He was fulfilling the promise. Look how the chapter ends. (Psalm 22: 29-31)

Pepe Melo Agreed Pepe, but He also used many scriptures from Psalms and the other old testament books to prove who He was. The Father had to abandon Him on the cross and let Him die.
He made it clear that the Father could send angels to protect Him if he wanted to. But at Christ's death He was alone. That is the horror of Christ's death that even the Father could not look up on Him.

I love your videos and your ministry. Your videos are too long. Unfortunately on RUclips our attention spans are limited. Use the 6 minute rule. Maybe that means more, shorter videos but most people will not watch a 20 minute + video. Keep up the good work and keep reaching out to these kids. The need Christ and today many, too many of them don't really know very much about him.
Are these people actually arguing which god is real? WHICH ONE?? He also doesn't define what he means by god, he changes his implication about 7 or 8 times.

I have actually studied every single religion. All you have to do is study the basic groups.

We are god
Now once you decide that a group is impossible that means all religions that fall in that group are impossible. So take a hard look at them and see Jesus stands out as true among all the false

Christians need to accept there are seeds of truth in all traditions. But that the Church contains the fullness of😊 truth.
Religious books are basically books on ethical concepts of early man trying to establish some type of order in their societies. Most cultures attributed this inspiration of moral ethics to a supreme being of a mythical realm.
What you consider mythical is subjective, why is your judgement reliable? You have no reason to think you are more enlightened than historical figures because someone invented technology and gave it to you.

If there is a God that created the laws of nature, it is a simple matter for God to express Himself in history to put an exclamation mark on important matters with displays of that power. It has happened in people's lives everyday throughout history. It has happened in my life, it can happen in yours. Pride is not always expressed as a negative quality in the Bible. It can carry a positive connotation of self-worth, self-respect, and self-confidence. The apostle Paul communicated a positive sense of pride when speaking to the believers in Corinth:
“I have the highest confidence in you, and I take great pride in you. You have greatly encouraged me and made me happy despite all our troubles” (2 Corinthians 7:4, NLT).

Pride is a sin with a thousand lives; it seems impossible to kill it.”
Synonyms for pride in the Bible are “insolence,” “presumptuousness,” “arrogance,” “conceit,” “high-mindedness,” “haughtiness,” and “egotism.

Fruit of Repentance is the proof of ones salvation and total belief and being in a true relationship with Jesus Christ our creator in heaven, not evidence that is found by man.
Leviticus does not mention homosexuality at all -- not in any chapter, not in any verse. Even if it did,
_very few people alive today are Levites,_ so it wouldn't apply to you and me anyway. Genesis does not state that marriage is for one man and one woman -- not in any chapter, not in any verse. Romans does not mention homosexuals at all -- not in any chapter, not in any verse. Corinthians does not mention homosexuals at all. Timothy doesn't mention homosexuals at all.
The Bible does not state anywhere that homosexuality could somehow be a sin or could somehow be against God's plan for sexuality -- not in any chapter, not in any verse:

i wonder if the segment with homosexuality holds the same relevance with transgenders to the point of innate equal value and in turning to Christ whether or not that had transitioned or not? if anyone is able to give an explanation, thank you very much and God bless you
So, 1GodOnlyOne, none of those books of the Bible mention homosexuality at all? Not Romans 1:27 which says:
"27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error."?
Sounds like homosexuality to me...
