This is the first time I heard about Concerto but I have no doubts how fast it got discontinued. I mean this is $300 iem that - Doesn't have a detachable cable. - Treble that looks like a Chi-Fi from pre-pandemic. - Design that's as atrocious as the new Quarks. Who asked for this? Moondrop lately dropped the ball on many iterations. What is happening?
the design is the only reasonable part, the detachable cable is required for the XMEMS driver, and the treble is pretty decent outside the 10khz peak, which hasnt been confirmed by the 5128 so it may not be that strong and its probably also because of the XMEMS, this IEM is more like an experiment.
Sad to see it got discontinued since I really thought it might have been something special. But after listening to this review and hearing all of the negatives I am so happy I never bought one.
That lower Treble tuck is similar to the Dunu Titan S and i relate to the vocals feeling not so good. It's the high Treble emphasis along with the lower Treble tuck that i would like to not be present and rather have a more smoother approach
Probably since the market is throwing new IEMS every week, Moondrop release this one very fast with a lot of problems. That will keep happening if brands try to realease so many products fast
I could’ve told anyone that. When they first announced this thing I thought “WTF?? DSP cabled non semi custom IEM for $300?” literally no one wanted this. No one asked for this. Into the trash it goes.
It is an item I was most waiting to review and was curious about, even though I did not buy it because it has a fixed wire, and I did not buy an IEM for $100 if it had a fixed wire.
@@uglyfate1326 After DaVinci was released, he mentioned Performer 5 as a recommendation to buy in many of his reviews. He also reviewed many iems that could be considered DaVinci's competitors and praised most of them, like Dynaquattro and some Ziigaats. I think your comment is unfair.
I heard this IEM was actually discontinued due to Moondrop being bullied about how to pronounce "Concerto" by a bunch of armchair linguists who have never been to Italy.
plenty of >$1k IEMs have resin shells. Crin and Timmy. "Resin shells are not premium." Gaslight much? The Moondrop Dusk is a not inexpensive highly rated and regarded IEM that happens to have RESIN SHELLS! fk off with that bs. Thank-you.
Had the moondrop A8 back in the day, it was god awful, absolutely horrible. I said never moondrop again. However, I tried the moondrop little white for my iem a month ago and omg it was the worst kind of garbage I have ever bought in this passion. The software was just completely broken, the software told me I got almost no battery left after 30 minutes of use and interrupted the music every 30 second by saying in that super annoying loli pedophile voice "battery low" EVEN THO tha battery was far from empty. It kept playing for 4 hours with that interruption. Chi-Fi and Software are two things that dont mix, like oil and water. My Fiio UTWS5 have the absolute same issue, prolly the same base software. Also the Moondrop Link app is just pure garbage, it is so bad I dont know where to start with my rant. even the horrible fiio app is much better
Squiggy for Concerto is not currently on the tool, but why not check out the squig site anyways :)

they lackin
I mean I own the Quarks 2 and other than the fact that it doesn't work with the Moondrop Link app, it does still sound pretty decent.
Moondrops engineers moved to truthear.

@@new1412 Are Moondrop set up to do mems production in house? If not it might be a supplier issue.
MOONDROP has been extremely mid for a little while now. Not surprised.

Wow why did they do that?? I really like the Concerto and was about to recommend it to a friend

The graph doesnt know about fit so the treble can vary a lot from person to person

Timmy, you need to also post guizaudio
I like the earbud style, though. If they carry anything on from the Concerto, it should be that form factor.
Hi Timmy would be great if you'll review the Pula Anvil 114! Thanks

Theres certain way you're talking thats kind of familiar.
Are you going to do a review of the Performer 5+2? I saw measurements added to Squig
he can't review Performer 7 unless all Davinci's already soled out, simple logic.

We need a new top 10, 5, or 3 video! I always like those videos. In this hobby things are always changing.
Where is blue 2??
well.....at least the waifu is peak...
Is it not pronounced conchairtoe.. Like a piano concerto or somethin
Concern Toe
I heard this IEM was actually discontinued due to Moondrop being bullied about how to pronounce "Concerto" by a bunch of armchair linguists who have never been to Italy.
The most convincing one so far
Yea my uncle works at Nintendo and he told me.
It's an Italian word and pronounced concherto not conserto.
It's leviOsa, not levioSA!
Yes, then?
So this item exists in your list since you have featured it in regards to your slogan?
Moondrop keep throwing away their reputation year after year...
ok

I think the concerto is more a not too thick plastic more than resin…
@@or1on89 okay. The truth is I am just gentle trolling Timmy, and Crin. I respect what they do, and enjoy their videos also.
Wow, i was considering it but that non-detachable was such a huge turn-off for such an expensive pair
So after all your optimistic energetic delivery and soft words in the end it's totally garbage.
day 2 of waiting for uuuu to make a review on simgot ew300, std, hbb, dsp
Please?
@fabien4489 ye
Maybe better IEMs exist to talk about
