This solution shows the frontend, not the backend. I tested it before deploying with Heroku, but I couldn't get the data from the database

Thanks dude, by the way guys if you do the build method and put the files in the public folder on the backend you can just do that and host the back end on Azure for free if Heroku starts charging you. It will work as normal.

I created my react app using vite@latest. When I run "npm run build", It does not create a folder as public.& also ther is no public folder in the server folder

Sir i am working on next and node app. I am very confused in session. Everything is working but coming from php i am not able to understand the session in node. Why we need to include cookie in rqsts and why i am accessing session data by req. It should already be present on server. Please can you explain a little.

not working. I do not have a client folder. I jsut have the standard cra template where src is the file after the root project. Is this an issue? WHy is heroku one of the worst deployment methods on the planet.

its not free to host on heroku cli you should have mentioned that wasted my time watching this video its asking for payment information after running command heroku create

Hi, thanks for the wonderful video. This is worth a lot.
I require some help as I got stuck in this process. After building the react app and pasting that into a public folder inside the server, when I run the app, it is displayed as a string. It is not displayed as HTML elements.
Please let me know how to solve this issue. Thanks in advance.

yes you will get charged based on usage of your site. heroku sadly no longer has a free tier.
