ABOUT CHICAGO FIRE
From renowned Emmy Award-winning executive producer Dick Wolf ("Law & Order" brand) and co-creator Derek Haas, the writer behind "3:10 to Yuma," comes Season 8 of "Chicago Fire." The family inside Firehouse 51 knows no other way than to lay it all on the line for each other. Capt. Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) leads the Truck Company and brash Lt. Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) runs the Rescue Squad. The firehouse also includes Battalion Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker), a fireman's fireman. Paramedic Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) returns alongside seasoned veteran Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg) and Randy "Mouch" McHolland (Christian Stolte), as well as resourceful firefighter Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo). Completing the team are dependable squad member Joe Cruz (Joe Minoso), paramedic Emily Foster (Annie Ilonzeh) and the newest addition, candidate Blake Gallo (Alberto Rosende).

I think the CPD sure could use Roman back on the force! Infact, I picture him as Assistant Captain of District 21 on Chicago PD alongside Hank Voight who I picture as Captain Hank Voight! Captain of District 21!

The way Roman says "here we go" when Voight comes in athe end, you know that Roman has done something.
My interpretation wasn't that he had done something. He basically as a "former cop" acted like he had free roam of the area and could get away with how he was talking to FD. Voight comes on the scene. He knows he can't do jack ****, and has to do what he is told lol

Well, he had left chicago for like, 4 years, came back because his sister went missing, but didn't tell Voight because he knew that his sister was dealing drugs and there'd been multiple ODs including a death. Roman knew that Sarah could have been charged with homicide if PD picked her up, so he went to Severide and Brett instead, claiming that he's been to intelligence but wanted to do some sleuthing of his own. Severide brought up Roman's name when talking to intelligence, assuming they knew, and they were like "what? He's in Chicago?" and now he has the face his old friends, and ex-girlfriend Burgess. The ex thing probably wasn't an issue though, cuz he was fine talking to Brett, another one of his exes.

I know at some point whether it be this season or later on in the series Matt and Sylvie will become a couple, with that certainty maybe instead of just another romance couple let them simply enjoy each other’s company and let them be happy and at peace for now, until the officially become a romantic couple with the future prospect for marriage. What I mean to say is that let them be able to voice they feelings to one another, Casey and Brett now aware of the mutual feelings for each other will: do stuff together (ie go to dinner together, movie, BFF things, and even comic misadventures involving the two of them. For example back in season 7 Matt signs up for the mystery standby flight adventure where you randomly fly to undisclosed locations at random, Sylvie likes the idea and thus leaves the ground work for the possible season finale moment of Casey and Brett to be them boarding a mystery flight on furlough to recharge their batteries and to enjoy each other’s company.

It actually starts on PD with this exact scene. Voight tells Burgess to take Roman in. Theres 5+ minutes give or take before they are in the station

What happened
Reinaldo llovera well shawns sister went missing and it turns out the person that knows where she is is the person that lives there but it was a trap (they ended up finding her body she froze to death and got beaten really bad)
