Recently engaged! Hoping to get married in June 2022 but finding it difficult to find venues due to covid causing issues with viewings! so worried we won’t be able to book our wedding for when we want ☹️
Hey Gabi, I have just uploaded a new video all about this - I hope it helps!
Thank you for such a helpful video! Are there particular battery operated candles that you would recommend. A lot of the ones that I am seeing don't look realistic at all
Hey Marcia! It really depends where you want to place them. Up on a mantle or away from your guests you can get away with cheaper options as you just really want a flickering glow. If they are on your guest tables I do find the pillar type to be more realistic than the tea lights. Most of my clients opt for ikea or amazon and when all the décor comes together they are great for the price you pay and you won't notice them as much. But check out second hand wedding sites as couples often sell of all their décor for less. Hope that helps!
Very good video just one thing that is a bug bear of mine being in the industry is verdures on the day excepting food whilst charging top buck for there services surely they should bring threw own food as they are working
It's a bit of a tradition in the industry to supply the vendors with food. Most will have something in their contract. Catering companies usually do supplier rate meals though so its not full price. Most suppliers will work 12-15 hours on a wedding day so one hot meal in that time is very much appreciated!
8th August 2023. At inkersall Grange Farm!
9.9.23 is wedding date
Engagement is 8.8.21 been dating for over 2 years, having a tough time picking colors I want burnt orange dresses but also want to include a dark teal!!
Just found your channel and WOW you’re going to be so useful. Planning my wedding for July 2021 🎉. My fiancé and I love the idea of a luxury BBQ but are curious about how speeches work around that (if it takes longer for people to get their food etc). Have you had any couples do this?
We are also doing this and my cousin did this. It worked really well. She did the speeches first then did the food after. She sent people up table by table xx
Hope you enjoy all the content! I usually recommend speeches after the food (depending on your schedule for the day). People can get really hungry so feeding first can be easier - it means you have everyone's full concentration rather than them wondering when food is coming out! Keep it relaxed and announce the speeches once everyone has finished eating (or at least nearly finished!). As Amy said - keep it relaxed and 100% let people go for their food table by table to avoid too much queuing!
My wedding is planned for May 2022 but I'm seriously stressing as with Covid, we've had to limit it to 40 people as my budget is £4,500 for everything! Our wenue and registry office come to £3,050. Any recommendations for how I can budget for the rest?? Thanks! ❤️
Hi Rachael, It can be so difficult. You've really got to focus on the things that are most important. Always remember you don't need to do everything just because that's what you see in 'most' weddings. I'm not sure what your venue will let you do, but doing some DIY, simpler (but still tasty) catering and providing less drinks but a nice reasonably priced bar are great ways to save on the budget. Hope that helps! x
I'm engaged and planning for wedding around jan 2022.
