Lovely review, as always! This is a book I had never heard of before you mentioned it on your channel, and I am happy to know it exists and that it meant so much to you.

As always, it's lovely to hear your thoughts on books. Your reviews are so layered, considering sociological and historical perspectives, but the modern one as well: all while incorporating views that are all yours. ❤️

That's such a lovely comment thank you so much! It's been a while since I've filmed a video but I think today might be the day. Wish me luck! I'm rusty. c:

Love this review! Made me want to read this book so badly. Thanks for sharing your story with us, I’m straight but I still need to go through all the visa process every year in order to be with my partner ( I’ll go interview for my visa two hours later!), I can imagine how hard it will be to “cannot” marry in your own country at times, but yay for Australia has changed now, and I’m so happy for you! In the mean time queer people still cannot be married in China ☹️ and I don’t even see hope here - anyway, great review! Thank you 😘😘😘

Such a great review, I always appreciate when booktubers can relate the book to their own lives and Stephen sounds such a compelling character!

Thank you so much~. I always try to make my reviews meaningful, it makes writing it more enjoyable. Stephen was the highlight of the book for me.

Excuse me but the “ because…girls are better than boys” is not even slightly close to what the books is about and what radclyffe was trying to say. That was not why Stephen had a hard time with roger, and that was not how the gender issues and inner dilemmas were presented in this book

Hey there! Yeah, you make some excellent points and are probably right. If I had to guess, I ignored some of Stephen's gender issues as I was contending with my own transness at the time. Thanks for your comment.
