Keep going brother! BLUF: we are all waiting for the end result of your detective work!!!! You should NOT try to keep your videos short based on a single viewers comment. If your videos are being watched keep going. In the end we want to know your opinion on the best replacement filter for the berkey blacks, ideally at a good price :)
Im with you! I want to find out what good solutions Robert finds. I have a berkey and I want to put filters in there that I know are doing a great job.
Someone who wants a shorter video and less info is not that serious. Make 'em as long as you want for people who really want your take on the situation. Thanks much!
I am loving all of your videos!!! Thank you so so much. I've been down this same rabbit hole for months. It's crazy to me that this is all allowed. Most people just trust it's all ok and it's not. How scary. Thank you so much for taking the time to share. I hope many more people see your videos!!
Your videos are so important especially now. I think you're on to cleaning up deceptive advertisement and bringing truth to the people. We've owned Pro Pur, now called Pro One since the gravity fed became popular back in 2015, (not sure of the date) I think their site says, nfs 43. We got them due to the claim of fluoride removal and back then there were nearly none who claimed fluoride removal. We live in Hawai'i now and brought the tanks with us. Now we don't pay extra for the fluoride filter because Hawaii is smart and doesn't put fluoride sludge in the drinking water. Thank you for your due diligence on such an important subject; and you are not boring, just real and genuine, an attribute we all seek out and appreciate.
Use ProOne, they ARE NSF Certified and lots of people I know switched from Berkey Filters in their System to the Ceramic ProOne and all said the water taste so much better. I checked and since they are NSF certified that is all we use as well. But look around someone somewhere might make a better one but I have never heard of a better one.
Rather than mentioning all of the filters that DO NOT have NSF certification why don't you just tell us the filters that DO have NSF certification. I appreciate your thoroughness and desire to find a reliable means of gravity water filtration.
Maybe he like some others are exposing the fraud of these companies and the channels that promote this bullshit. And of course all the channels get their cut.
I'm holding off purchasing for my cabin until you release what filters you think are the best you have found so far. So thankful I saw your video before I purchased. Thank you for your research!!
So glad I ran across your videos. I live on a fixed income and it's very hard to save up to buy these filters. I'll be waiting for your next video to see what you recommend. It's so sad that truth in advertising no longer exists, even for something as simple as a water filter. Thank you for taking the time to help me make a better decision.
Check out the CWC Labs video on testing water filtration systems for glyphosate.... they tested the berkey and other systems.....they found that Zero pitcher water filter worked 100% filtered glyphosate. If you are looking for a cheaper option....try Zero pitcher filter. If it can filter a water soluble chemical it can filter most of the other chemicals you might be concerned about. And yes the Berkey filtered 100% glyphosate as well if you can spend the money. Just a person that read your comment and thought you might want another viewpoint on the subject.
@@michellemata2269 Thanks for your suggestion. I've used pitchers before, but I use a lot of water every day for myself and my 2 dogs and got tired of constantly filling and waiting for them to filter. Since I've already spent the money on a Berkey, just feel like I need to use it.
I'm getting the impression from these videos that all these companies are buying generic cheap filters and then just jacking the price up. So Berkey probably wouldn't be an issue if we just replace the filters more often. But the problem is their filters are extremely expensive for generic filters. So is the solution then to buy a generic, cheap gravity fed or under sink system and then just buy and replace cheap carbon filters often? Also, you shouldn't care about that one woman who was going on about not liking longer content. Water is an important topic, the more details the better.
We installed an expensive $3000 under the sink filter years ago, only lasted for one year. when we replace the filter of $300 for half a year only , the water tasted aweful. then I turned to cheaper filters.
The problem isn't they need to be replaced often more info came out they just don't work that good. They work good enough to fool people with the taste test. But the lab results are horrific.
That's exactly what I think! I bought the exact same filters as Berkey for half the price -same size/weight... the water "looks" the same. I just bought some test strips to see what I can discover.
Thank you for your very informative videos.I hope to finally find the best filter by watching your videos. I did not run out to buy a Berkey because I did research a couple years ago and found issues. I was going to make my own using stock pots but using Berkey filters. Until i saw the price of their filters. Insane! I subscribed to your channel and will watch all of your videos. You have no clue how valuable your information is. Your extreme work researching all this is very appreciated.
Thank you for your videos. You have done more than anyone on RUclips making videos about this subject. I've spent hours upon hours watching videos and going to web sites trying to find this. The fact that your videos are still up and you are not being sued by any of these companies, show that you are correct. Waiting for the next video on what are good replacements for my Berkey.
You have to understand, when a lab tests to 200 gallons, that means the amount of water they ran threw the filter for that test, NOT that the filter was done and couldnt filter any more. If the claim is that it will filter up to 3000 gallons, it may only clean 2000 gallons if the water was exceptionally bad. If you ran pristine distilled water through it, it would never need to be replaced. Manufacturers recommend time based intervals because components in some filters are time sensitive, like activated charcoal.
I was in Guatemala for humanitarian medical work and drank water from a silver impregnated terra cotta water filter. The water tasted very good and I didn't get sick. Water from the tap in Guatemala isn't considered safe and a couple people we worked with became ill from tap water, but we filled the terra cotta filter from the bathroom tap in our room. I can't find such a filter for sale in the US. I would buy one if it was available here.
@ Stacy there is a video on RUclips where a man made his own terra cotta pot water filter. It might be that if you can get pure Terra Cotta then you could possible add in Colloidal Silver or use Pure Silver bars or coins. Sailors have been known to use their silver coins to preserve their water. Something to look more closely into. Pure copper is another to look into…although, too much copper has been said to create ill-effects. I would also look into pure gold just to research.
I am in Guatemala and we used this filter for ½ year. No problems. But still I am not sure about the quality of the filtering and of tap water. I actually should do a test of the tap water for toxins and bacteria & co before and after filtering...
@Stacey You should try searching the internet for " silver impregnated terra cotta water filter" as I believe there are water filters for sale in the US that fit that description. These days, if you limit what you purchase to just those items you can find on the shelves in brick-and-mortar shops, you're going to find your selections to be painfully lacking.
Thanks, I wondered about switching filters from the Berkeley I’ll keep watching. No need to keep it super short just keep the integrity of your work, thanks so much!
We are so surprised by this information. We just paid 175 for two black berkey filters and have used our berkey for many years thinking we were drinking safe water. Thank you for this show. We are now buying a system for our whole house to filter our water and we are so disappointed
This guy is just complaining about the gray areas of certification. But one thing that is clear and certain is these filters do work. I used a burkey you for about eight years for dispersed camping in national forests getting lake and river water. Never once did I, or my family ever get sick. I've had the water tested as well, these filters do their job period. Sold my smaller burkey to my brother who now uses it. And I got a larger alexapure, and same thing, works as it should.
Robert, I would listen to you as long as it takes you to make your point...hours if you required it. It is my opinion your messages are delivered with both clear sincerity to share injustice and deep honesty about your findings. It seems to me you do not want to "have" to discuss matters such as this but, are led to do so for the betterment of all who would be fooled. I have both Berkey and Alexa Pure Filters in my survival gear and always had the sinking their advertising is hype and their products are basically B.S. It is so frustrating. Even the most savvy of peppers recommend them. Thank you for doing your due diligence and presenting to us your fact-based findings. Your efforts whether OCD or more likely...simply thorough are very much appreciated. Your one of the best, Robert. Keep shining your light!!
Mike Adams is such a sensationalist. I side stepped his stuff ages ago. I appreciate your direct info, no fear mongering, no drama bs just plain good down home info sharing. Subbed & big thank you from Gold Coast Australia, Australistan lol 😂🎉
I always kind of liked Mike Adam's articles but recently getting fed up. Not long ago i read an article claiming "they are sneaking crickets into our food". But all I found crickets in,seem to proudly list and boast their food has crickets. I did find one company that listed the bugs scientific name in ingredients instead of "cricket flour" but that's on you if you buy something without researching ingredients. The biggest problem I have is carmine red,red # 40? that has been used for decades in many sweets and foods, yet never labeled as coming from crushed bugs.I don't think I will be reading too much more Mike Adam's as he seems to be joining the "fear mongering" community. Seriously, if you claim they are SNEAKING bugs into our food, at least have lab tests showing they found bugs in the foods that were not listed on the label. I save crickets from drowning in outside dog and cat water bowls of animals I rescue and watch over, so no way in hell I will be eating crickets or any other bugs.I sure do want to know of any and all products that contain any bug so I can avoid them completely, but can't just take someone's word for it, not even Mike Adams.
Was searching through my emails for something Berkey related and as I used to get Mike Adams’ newsletters, before I went off him, a few of his newsletters showed up in the results and at the bottom it stated ‘ Sponsored by Berkey’, so there you go 🙄
Feeling your pain. I appreciate these videos and making your “notes” available to your subs. Appreciate (so much) the painstaking efforts that went into your research, so THANK YOU. Ok, so I’m in the market for a ‘gravity fed’ (non-electric) filtering system and keep going back and forth on which one. Needless to say, video #2 halted the decision making process, so I am patiently (yet eagerly, too) awaiting video #3, before I take the financial plunge. Sounds like maybe the right approach is to acquire the Berkey unit without the filters and then buy (based on your upcoming research and recommendations) compatible filters. Wondering if buying a Berkey unit alone is even possible.
Why would you give money for a shady company, after all this info? These companies need to be boycotted and held responsible for their lies. We sustain their lies when we buy from them.
Why pay so much extra for the Berkey name though. Waterdrop makes the same thing, but it's much less. After realizing the filters were essentially the same, I went with the Waterdrop.
I remember around 2000 telling my friends that one day, wars would be fought over water-that it would become more valuable than gold. That time is approaching quickly. If you’re serious about ensuring your water is pure and uncontaminated, you’ll need a reliable solution like the MSR Guardian Gravity Water Purifier. It’s an investment at nearly $300 upfront, capable of filtering about 3,000 liters (around 800 gallons). However, replacing the filter element will set you back almost $200. It’s a steep price, but for peace of mind and safe water, it might be worth it.
Have you researched the Sawyer or Lifestraw? I couldn't afford much so I bought a Sawyer and attached it to a 2litter soda bottle with the bottom cut out. I inverted it on top of a 5 gallon bottle and filter through that. The filter seemed to work well for about two weeks. Then needed to be flushed more and more. I smell chlorine in the water so I'm not sure it's doing much. I've only ran tap water through it. I noticed Sawyer and Lifestraw both list that massive amounts of water can be filtered. Reading the fine print this applies only to tap water and not the outdoor water their adds promote.
Thanks for the info and your postings, Robert - may many blessings come your way for your honesty and your willingness to not only help yourself but others.
Thank You Robert: A comment below asked actually which filter/filters have been certified and could be recommended by yourself, instead of listing the fails. Sounds like you have done an admirable investigation here!
Thank you for your video, I was going to purchase one for myself. Your care and compassion for us out here outside of the best testers, has given me an insight and more respect for my own intuitional guide.
The 7" Doulton/Berkfeld elements work just fine in a Berkey (as far as size). I've read they fail the red dye test, but many filters do, I'm only filtering well/rain water mainly and I'm probably reasonably safe from nonsense like hexavalent chromium and the like where I am, I'm more worried about bacteria - the Superstearasyl filters will accomplish that just fine. If you want the purest water then you want an RO system or buy a distilling system (though I'd still recommend filtering water before the distiller just to get the bulk of impurities out).
This video was very helpful. My Big Berky filter failed way before its advertised life span. I noticed an odd taste in the water. This could have been catastrophic in a grid down situation. I would be very interested in your opinion of Sawyer filters. Much respect from Tennessee.
Never boring! You are giving us alot of important information, this takes you time to find truth and then share with us. I subbed and look forward to more videos.
Lots of people like the doulton sterasyl 7 inch ceramic candle filters which i believe will fit in the berkey systems. I dont know much about them but at least worth researching.
In CA, I used Multipure under the sink filters for a couple of decades. It made life so much easier than hauling a gallon of water from sink to reach up and pour through my Alexapure here. I did not do a lot of research at the time, but their filter seemed good and compact for what it was. Obviously a gravity fed filter is useful for anything not coming from the kitchen tap. I notice you have not mentioned Multipure. Now that I've watched both videos, I'm going to their site and see if I can learn about their filters. I'm worn out filling up my Brita and Alexapure all day long. Anyone else have an under the sink? Perhaps Aquacera has one.
unfortunately most of us live in Apts. and not allowed reverse osmosis or other under the sink units.I can't stand videos that end up comparing every type of filter in one video. It's faulty and unfair because a Brita will never come close to a reverse osmosis so why bother lumping different types together? those of us looking for non electric units that sit on the counter need a video just on those kind. If I were you, I would search for videos that stick to testing only under the sink units. Try Project farm channel. not sure they did one on just under sink units but it's a good channel for reviews. I can't wait for this channel we are on now to come out with the next video.
@@pattiannepascual when tn3 grid goes down we won't be getting water from our sinks. The city run water systems are all computerized, if tne grid goes down they won't work. I don't know what the answer is though. It's very confusing because everybody gives us false information.
@@connieroberts4626 I think our best bet is to keep researching to find the best filter that we can take with us if we have to flee, Run water first through one of those bucket filters made from natural materials,(gravel, sand, rocks, etc), then run through the good filter and after that, boil the water before using.A lot of people totally depending on systems attached to their plumbing or require electric or batteries to work well be in shock when the power goes out or if they have to flee. I know it may sound rediculous but I have studied socialism/communism and spoken to many who lived it. Even hard core preppers had to run last minute, leaving everything behind besides the clothes on their backs and what they could carry.I keep trying to wake people up but they don't listen. They have ideas and assumptions of what it will be like, ignoring stories and warnings from those who actually lived it, telling them they are wrong. I stress the point that if we network asap and come up with a plan to stop the socialists from taking over in the first place, we can avoid all the other issues, but again, they won't listen. It would take millions of us to stop the evil ones, since few are interested in joining a movement, the most we can do is prepare as individuals for whatever scenario may result.
@@pattiannepascual ì agree ! I'm 76 so I've been around a while, I've lived and experienced a few things. Most think they know things, but in reality have no idea. you can store food, but if you don't have water your in big trouble. if it comes to radiation because of war etc. it will really affect things in a big way. They have been handing out iodine tablets in Europe because of the scare of war, and radiation etc. Not many peppers touch on that. When I wSin school we had drills to do with bombs being dropped. I know thi gs are much different now but most really don't realize it. As you said I think everyone is going to have to think research and come up with a plan.
@@pattiannepascual Absolute truth. My in-laws from Europe had to leave everything behind during WWII, and escape with their lives. Omg, what they endured. 😔
Thank you for doing the work on this. I have been disappointed with my last filters from Berkey so was starting the search for a replacement. You've saved me a lot of work. How very upsetting! Well, for now, at least the water tastes better after having been filtered through the Berkey filters.
I recently bought a Alexapure and not happy with it at all. The company doesn't stand behind their products and will not return any of it. What I don't understand is that on testing with a meter that just measure particulates, there is more stuff in the water after going threw the filter. And there are people who swear by these water filters. But unfortunately they only check the water when they first get them, never months after use. And curious as to why the cheap filters take out calcium, but these expensive ones don't. How is that possible? Was the only reason I bought one in the first place, my water was ruining my electric kettle and coffee machine.
Not boring. Don't worry - you're FINE! Thank you from making aware. I DO want to know what IS trustworthy to use as I've not bought one yet becuz I don't know which to buy, so this really helps A LOT! Will be looking for you next video! Thanks again!
I've used a Zero pitcher for many years through many filters, I have friends with Berkey and others, and I have had the best experience for the least amount of money among those I know. I do keep it refrigerated, though, because that mass of materials through all their filtering stages can start giving the water an off-odor or -taste if it's just left sitting in a warm environment for long periods without much volume going through it.
@@ReflectedMiles I wonder if anyone is tested the Nieken gravity filters against like the zero and the Berkeley I wonder how that would test would come out.
@@zamis21 I don't know, but if you use a lot of water as you indicate, I think the Nikken filters are quite a bit more expensive. There are multiple NSF certifications on these filters and I'm not sure how they compare on those, and their relevance in categories to each other, either.
I'm trying to find the best option for a water filter ( over the counter). I looked into aquasana and aquaTru but all their pitchers are plastic? no glass or stainless steel? There is no company offering a safe material for their pitchers? I also see that the filters are made with plastic so how can they claim to be safe for microand nanoplastics? I'd like to hear your thoughts. Thank you.
I never bought into Berkey because it just never made sense to me. That and the ridiculous prices! I have been distilling my water for years and adding liquid trace minerals to it. That said, recently I have been looking for a way to filter that water that doesn't need electricity. That's how I found your videos.
Please let us know if you find good filters. Makes me mad cause I have a case of black filters still stocked back. Hope they win the class the class action lawsuit. Thanks for posting this info
Thank you so much for this research you're doing. I have been on the fence for so long about buying a Berkey. But not any more! Now i will definitely wait to see what you find! I have reverse osmosis under my sink, but my interest in a filter is for a grid down situation. I have a Life Straw and a small hiker Katydyn, but would like a bigger unit for everyday home use. Does the NSF website list the companies they certify? What about Consumer Reports?
I appreciate you sharing this information and calling them out. I distill my own water (add my own minerals, homemade "sole" from real salt) but have a zero water as back up if needed but wanted a bigger option that doesn't need electricity....guess I'm out of luck.
Thank you for the information. Now, what can I use to either replace the filters, will Royal Doulton work or what should I get? Sorry if I misspelled it.
can you review radiant life ss gravity berkey filters and greenfield aquametix & cerametix and british berkefeld ultra sterasyl ceramic and doulton ceramic? Ty!
I wonder what are the adequately tested water filtration systems and companies. Too many people think their water is purified, but they're still drinking fluoride.... And, yes, it would be great to be able to refurbish a Berkey system with a filter that works..!!
It took about 20-30 gallons and a lot of time just to prime the Berkey filters with the accessories that came with it and then had to purchase the one they didn't include. for 200 gallons, the filters would last less than 6 mos per person. $25/month and not totally sure what it's not filtering out. Sorry that I bought back up filters during scare tactic sales. Thank you for doing this work!
Hi Robert, thank you so much for this work exclamation wait Had just bought a Berkey and is close would love to use the canister. Have you looked into Boroux yet?
Thank you for sharing all of your research. You are wonderful for helping others. Despicable that a water filter company would be deceptive, and not just one of them. Like big pharm,it seems.
I just ordered an AquaTru reverse osmosis water filtration system. I haven’t received it yet but my concern is it takes out the needed minerals. Also you have to plug it up so if a storm hits (I’m in Florida) I can’t use it. I might send it back. Also purchasing quality mineral drops are another expense. It shouldn’t be this hard or expensive.
What about this other product called Radiant Life. They have filters that filter fluoride no extra filter required like Berkey and they fit the Berkey stainless system.
Thank you for sharing!!🙌🏼 I only use APEC RO. Glad to know they are as good as I thought they were. I got really sick from my tap water 4 years ago and that’s when I found this filter. I rent but still put it in. The portable thing is difficult so I’ll definitely check out your other videos and links. Greatly appreciated!!
Cannot buy or locate ANY ProOne water filters. I purchased two pro one replacement filters seven weeks ago and they are nowhere to be found. They never arrived and I have no where else to look.
Have you investigated life straw gravity feed community water purifier? I'm wanting to buy but am waiting for your research... I hope you get good answers back from your Outback email. That was the other one I was considering... Thank you brother for your work!
Robert, I learned an early lesson involving politics. It's called 'the brick wall'. Looks like you're running into the same thing with a class of merchant that has an unwritten (or mebbe a written) rule about advertising. Nobody rocks the boat and all sail on unmolested. You used to see something similar in yellow page advertising. The plumbers, for instance would, most of 'em, would all buy the same size ad. Then one day a new jackleg outfit would come along and buy a BIGGER ad which would force the others to follow suit. Get what I'm saying? They'd leave well enough alone as long as possible. That's what I'm seeing after viewing your sterling but unrewarded work. Early this summer using 5 gallon buckets I made a water thingy using the device with the best claim of all...the Sawyer. Luckily the water source that would be put into use here is an eternally flowing nearby underground waterway with good water even before it's filtered. Again I commend you for your super work. It really shouldn't fall to you to have to step in and do the work others are PAID to do.
Thanks for this video. You did a lot of research. I did find the link on NSF to ProOne which made me think proone was certified. I am now investigating British Berkefeld. Does anyone have info on this company? Anyone using table top ro system?
I appreciate you and this info sooo much. I've been wanting to purchase a Berkey due to all my Homesteaders I watch have and use them faithfully. Most have sicknesses that water contaminants increase the symptoms so they 'LOVE' their Berkeys I'm trying to contact them to get your videos in their eye sight. God bless you!!
It doesn’t filter out fluoride. That just tell you if there are any dissolved particles in the water. A lot of contaminates and impurities aren’t “dissolved”
Look into town/city water system testing. When I lived in PA. the town I lived in mailed us water test results OVER A YEAR after the water was tested for the previous year. In other words, we got the 2020 test results a year later in 2021. The test results, on a folded sheet of paper, described the multiple possible contaminants and the amount that was in the tap water at the time (i.e. comparing the maximum % amount of each contaminant allowable by the EPA, such as of lead, chlorine...versus how much was in our the tap water at that time).
Thanks for your research and hard work. What a murky world water filtration is. I recently purchased a waterdrop lucid pitcher which I watched a youtuber get lab results on. It's supposed to only be good for roughly 200 gallons but water definitely tastes better and the results were good. I came to the conclusion that I may aswell buy lots of new pitcher filters instead of buying an expensive water filter that probably lasts the same amount of time. I think that there needs to be a fresh lab test done on each filter so that we know the truth and everybody should stop buying them until then. Many years ago I worked for a filtration company called Pall Filtration and they did lots of beverage filters. I don't know why I don't hear that name mentioned ever.
Hi there @robertbeaty . THANK you for doing such thorough research. With this being said - have you FOUND a water filtration system that does back its claim??? Which system do YOU use in your home? I am in the market for a water filtration system and I'd only like to make this purchase once. THANKS for your expertise and time :)
I have news for everyone: all purifiers don’t filter as long as they claim, and they don’t filter as much as you like. But then again your tap water is likelier shittier and you survive. The point is that these purifiers are still a good thing for prepper survival. I would buy not buy them for everyday use. It is futile to take contaminants out of tap water and still have a retirement savings. Short term survival is the only place where these costly so-so purifiers can help. And even then I would still boil it.
OUTSTANDING WORK!!! Thanks for doing all this, I have a deep well that's unfiltered, I was considering the Berkey system until seeing your videos, since then been looking at the Zero filters, however I do not like the fact they're all plastic and BPH is a concern, this is the primary reason for considering the Berkey system, stainless steel, no plastic,,, Keep up the most excellent work and keep fighting the good fight!!!!!
I literally just bought berkey filters again. I listened to so many reviews many years ago and scientists uncle looked into them and at first thought they are great but noticed it was turning water very alkaline? Could not find anything I thought better. Looking forward to next posting thank you for posting
Have you looked at other people that have been testing to Berkey and they're coming out fine? Or you just listening to this guy who seems to be angry at all filters? Is he getting paid to bring up all this bull crap I don't know just seems a little weird that now it's coming out by one person

I am just looking for a filter that will help with the taste of distilled water, I distilled some water from a garden hose and it taste like the hose, the TDS is reading 0, I want to filter the bad taste out.
Good info, thx! Question though - dosen't a diff company make the Berkey filters? Thst company is Boroux, they have cut all ties with Berkey as of late. So that means Boroux filters are no good, right?

I purchased mine BEFORE knowing this! Looking forward to hopefully swap filters. Thank you for this!

@@michellemata2269 I got a Zero pitcher at Walmart, is' great to bring if you are travelling and I believe it is better than Brita/Pur.
I agree. Who is she to decide that anyways... pushy! Who cares what her PERSONAL opinion is? She doesn't HAVE to tune in for Pete's sake!
Not boring, very informative. Ty.
That makes sense. I’m not sure they would test a filter like Berkey that supposedly lasts for years.
@@deweyory1635 TinyHouse and Offgrid Resources 👍
I am in Guatemala and we used this filter for ½ year. No problems.
But still I am not sure about the quality of the filtering and of tap water. I actually should do a test of the tap water for toxins and bacteria & co before and after filtering...
the silver may just be good for killing bacteria but doubt it is eliminating lead and all the other hundreds of toxins in the water
@Stacey
You should try searching the internet for " silver impregnated terra cotta water filter" as I believe there are water filters for sale in the US that fit that description. These days, if you limit what you purchase to just those items you can find on the shelves in brick-and-mortar shops, you're going to find your selections to be painfully lacking.
Thank you! This is disheartening but I appreciate your time and information.
We are now buying a system for our whole house to filter our water and we are so disappointed
i have an old berkey from 1999 and just had the water tested and the filters are doing their job...cant understand what ya'll are cryin about
@@nojustice8353 WHERE did you have them tested and for what? Might want to use your state's lab

Pardon the typos
Appreciate your information and research. I hope you can give recommendations after all you have done.
He still sells and promoted Very high oxalate foods so I wonder why 😮
Great info. Most of the gravity type filter cans are OK and can use properly certified filters from British Berkefeld/ Doulton.
Man I worked hard to be able to afford my Alexa pure. This disgusts me. It's criminal. Thank you so much for sharing your information.
I paid 120 gbp for two lite life straws hope ive not been lied to to.
This is a very odd coincidence. I was briefly looking for a water filtration system TODAY for the first time in my life. You are doing a service.
Thanks for the info and your postings, Robert - may many blessings come your way for your honesty and your willingness to not only help yourself but others.
Been using Berkey for years. Darn. Waitirg for you replacement suggestions. Thanks for your meticulous work. Hang in there
Thank You Robert: A comment below asked actually which filter/filters have been certified and could be recommended by yourself, instead of listing the fails. Sounds like you have done an admirable investigation here!
Thank you for your video, I was going to purchase one for myself. Your care and compassion for us out here outside of the best testers, has given me an insight and more respect for my own intuitional guide.
What about DOULTON?
Have you looked into the British Berkefeld? It looks like a berkey and their filters are interchangeable with berkey.
I’m curious about this, also.
Thanks. If we ever need them we will darn well need ones that work. You're doing a great public service.
If we ever need them ...? I’ve never NOT needed them. That well water is contaminated too
This video was very helpful.
How about information on what is a good water filter system
Wow very good to know this is mind boggling. We really need to research everything

Thank you for doing the work on this. I have been disappointed with my last filters from Berkey so was starting the search for a replacement. You've saved me a lot of work. How very upsetting! Well, for now, at least the water tastes better after having been filtered through the Berkey filters.
wow! A lawyer could make a name for themselves on this!
What about The Water Machine that I have been seeing on fb?
I recently bought a Alexapure and not happy with it at all. The company doesn't stand behind their products and will not return any of it.
What I don't understand is that on testing with a meter that just measure particulates, there is more stuff in the water after going threw the filter.
And there are people who swear by these water filters. But unfortunately they only check the water when they first get them, never months after use.
And curious as to why the cheap filters take out calcium, but these expensive ones don't. How is that possible?
Was the only reason I bought one in the first place, my water was ruining my electric kettle and coffee machine.
Wow. 🤯
Not boring. Don't worry - you're FINE! Thank you from making aware. I DO want to know what IS trustworthy to use as I've not bought one yet becuz I don't know which to buy, so this really helps A LOT! Will be looking for you next video! Thanks again!
Have you tried the water machine? I’m hoping to find a replacement for my Berkey
I watched a video from Project Farm "Best Water Filter? Brita, ZeroWater, PUR, Berkey, Aquaphor, AquaTrue" and went with the Zero.
@@ReflectedMiles our filtered water doesn't last that long we're big water drinkers

@@zamis21 I don't know, but if you use a lot of water as you indicate, I think the Nikken filters are quite a bit more expensive. There are multiple NSF certifications on these filters and I'm not sure how they compare on those, and their relevance in categories to each other, either.
What are the two you’re testing out? Thank you for your hard work!
I'm trying to find the best option for a water filter ( over the counter). I looked into aquasana and aquaTru but all their pitchers are plastic? no glass or stainless steel?

I wonder what are the adequately tested water filtration systems and companies. Too many people think their water is purified, but they're still drinking fluoride.... And, yes, it would be great to be able to refurbish a Berkey system with a filter that works..!!
So what are the top 3 gravity fed filter alternatives to Berkey/Alexapure, etc??? What would be a good substitute?
Oh man I've been researching for ages which one is the best,?? Exit fluoride yoo
It took about 20-30 gallons and a lot of time just to prime the Berkey filters with the accessories that came with it and then had to purchase the one they didn't include. for 200 gallons, the filters would last less than 6 mos per person. $25/month and not totally sure what it's not filtering out.

Thank you for your extensive research and truth finding! I wish you much success!

Zero water is what I use. They give you a water meter to test the water so you know when you need to change the filter..
It doesn’t filter out fluoride. That just tell you if there are any dissolved particles in the water. A lot of contaminates and impurities aren’t “dissolved”
@@mindyjay77 I don't know I've always lived on well water

So , my question is … with your research, who do YOU use ? Who would you feel confident referring?
Check out Aquacera.
Thank you for this, you doing us a real service.
Just what we all need........anecdotal filters. Can hardly wait.
Thank you for your research, I guess the question what company has a water purifier that is really works???

Thanks for doing all this, I have a deep well that's unfiltered, I was considering the Berkey system until seeing your videos, since then been looking at the Zero filters, however I do not like the fact they're all plastic and BPH is a concern, this is the primary reason for considering the Berkey system, stainless steel, no plastic,,,
