For the tangent-of-a-circle problem you could implicitly differentiate the circle equation and then plug (-7, -7) into the dy/dx equation
third problem could also use desmos. plug equation in then look at points and find distance divided by 2. be careful the points on the x axis are the zeros so look at the gray points slightliy to the left of the y axis.
