You guys make me happy💙sober 21 years and quit cigs 12 years ago. Sold cars in California, Florida and Ohio, favor selling used🤷🏼‍♀️, now 72 yr old woman with stage 4 cancer. Started cannabis about 8 years ago and went to legal medical in 2021 with knee replacement. Now legal in Ohio and can grow up to 12 for household. My first grow last summe /fall was 3
Mephisto f1 Blackberry Cookies…nice! Now on second grow with 4 Mephisto f1s, a photo tiki rain Sativa clone, Bruce banner#3 photo and indica bubble gum sherb photo, and just harvested and dried 2 Mephistos, almost gone😩😂. Bottom line- I enjoy getting stoned with 200 lb mastiff on bed with me, watching you guys joking and smoking, just like hanging outside at car lots, waiting for customers and joking and smoking. 👏🏻keep it up-so funny!!

I like the kits bc of the convenience and the savings, but I think I enjoy piecing my grow together a piece at a time a little more. Each new piece I'm able to add or upgrade is like a small personal victory. Plus looking for those specific pieces I want to add and hunting down the best deal is fun way to pass time while smoking :) love the show, love the content, looking forward to catching yall in the next video!

That I am this close to my plants is a gift. Makes me better at seeing before it’s bad. And a mag glass or jewelers loop makes it a very enjoyable. I love timing using a combo of plants and different cycles like auto’s or fast flowers. I hope my state will someday consider allowing outside grows to use the sun and save electricity dollars.

The VPD chart is very helpful for me growing in a basement in the winter. It cost money to keep a basement tent warm with proper humidity in the colder months. Knowing what LOWER temperature and acceptable humidity ranges I can get away with saves me on electricity.

New growers should def be encouraged to start from seed. For sure more challenging . But you learn way more about cultivating plants IMO. The more you learn by trial and error the better you become at your craft.

I'm giving it a real go for the first time after finding some wild seed in a bud, probably hermi.
I popped them for fun, keeping only one, and it took off under the shop led's I cobbled together.
So, hundreds of dollars, 3 months later and much research I'm 11 days into flower and the thing is covered in bud sites.
I've found the plant surprisingly resilient and given optimal conditions it grows alarmingly quickly.
      Let's hope it's a decent smoke!

Built an 8x4x8, fully insulted space in my unheated garage. Lived in Edmonton, Alberta at the time where we reach -30C(-22F). Here I was growing in my icebox of a garage in the middle of a deep freeze. Used CMH lights to help with the heat portion, and obviously a decent sized space heater for lights out.
I currently live in a 5th wheel, do my veg in the spare bathroom shower, and have a shed out back for flower. Live in a spot that doesn't get all that cold

I was pulling a half a pound or more every month when I had an indoor set up. I had two rooms one room was 18 x 25. The smaller room was 15 x 12 I used that one for flower. The larger room had mother plants clones, and any seeds that I started. I had enough plants in there that every two weeks I would harvest out four or five plants and move in another four or five. Doing it this way I had to have a chart and label every pot so I knew what went in and what was done. It was a lot of work but very rewarding. I had to clean around the pots in each room once a month or when needed. I kept the plants around 3 feet tall with the exception of mother’s. And after flowering I always left new growth on the bottom and under developed buds so I could put them back in 24 hours of light to revegetate them. I would do this just in case one of them was a gem I could put it to the side, make her a mother plant. My bedroom was under old school fluorescent tube lights. The flower room had 600 w hps and 1000w mh with some small LEDs supplemental lighting. It was a little pricey, but the cost was split between two people.

I started off thinking I would only spend around $1k, bought a 4x8x7 and then poof I am around $4k (and still always looking for new stuff to add). Do not get high powered LED lights for grow tents, unless you are ready to get an A/C unit too. Sealed tents break the pocket, making a perfect climate inside the tent without venting, but when you add CO2, it is a must. Happy Growing, grow homies!

I've found under powered led's are not as efficient as higher powered.
The efficiency drops as the diode is pushed, creating more heat than light, more diodes, less excess heat.
If a light can't hit 40 DLI over 12 hours at 12" it's not powerful enough. The rule is no less than 30 watts per square foot.
Don't be afraid to vent any confined space especially if humidity is not an issue, some inline fans can swap out the air in the tent inside a minute.

I suggest not cheaping out too much on equipment, you'll probably be upgrading real soon.
Mars Hydro\Spider Farmer do a decent tent at the right price, AC Infinity are good for fans, blowers, and humidifiers though a bit pricey. Lights are all over the place so research is recommended, i suggest going as large as practicable and affordable to help with efficiency!
Do not use a LUX meter for light measurement🤬, use a dedicated PAR meter for PPF\DLI, Vibera VBR-100-300 is cheap and accurate. A decent multifunction pH pen is a must.
A good graduated pipette and some lab grade beakers help accurate measuring of nutes.
Edit: An activated carbon water filter is recommended for obvious reasons!

Hey guys I just watched a story on “why weed isn’t so sustainable “
Talked a lot about the amount of energy the indoor commercial grows use and it’s a lot. This article also sheds a bad light on any indoor grower. One path to legal cannabis might be alternative light sources of you can’t grow outside. I grow inside
    What is sustainable cannabis?
