I know. Fabulous ears. And they use them like antennae, don't they? We see the deer do the same kind of thing. Their faces will seem to be attending to something in front of them, but their ears will be listening to a full 360 degrees all around them.
Seeing that baby bunny in the den reminds me of watching one of the foxes last year chow down on a bunny snack. Yeah, I won't go into the details, but that imagery has definitely stayed with me.
They're going to turn into DoorDash if they're not careful. Crazy wabbits. I wonder if assertiveness is just the local breed. I can't imagine a successful end-game once a rabbit catches something. Nice find, and well-presented. Thank you :)
It amused us that the skunk ran away from the rabbit. Skunks don't run away from anyone. They stand their ground and woe betide the creature who pushes them too far. We're assuming that the rabbit didn't want to actually catch the skunk, but he certainly wanted the water bowl to himself.
The rabbits in the den remind me of high schoolers daring each other to break into an abandoned building. (Not that I know anything about that, of course. 😅)
Wow, another sheriff in the woods and he's so cute. The raccoon's eyes say "what's that, should I be scared?". Very funny. If he doesn't have a name yet, Roger Rabbit would be good. Many Thanks TBW
We like to think that both the rabbit and the raccoon were thoroughly embarrassed to have been so frightened. However, it's easy for us to laugh (and believe me, we did) but for these guys it was totally dark and they were afraid they were about to be eaten by a coyote.
I know, isn't it perfect? Their little tails are white underneath, they look as if they are made of cotton balls (we call them "cotton wool" balls in the UK & NZ).
So cute! I've never seen a wild rabbit in person before (never lived where's there's any, although I have seen many lovely hares) so these kinds of videos are a godsend, I love to see these guys go around doing their things
They are sweet animals. There's one living around here at the moment who has only one ear. A close encounter with a fox or coyote? Here's a link to some more rabbit videos on our website: texasbackyardwildlife.com/mammals/rabbits/
Kes! Great to hear from you. The magic tree den has a solid walnut floor (only the best...) and the raccoons have still managed to tear up parts of it. And they've torn wood off the logs that line the inside and dug up a big pile of dirt from somewhere. They are nature's little vandals.
Some of the final scene got blocked by popups. Can you pad some "dead time" at the end so the popups don't block good content? Great video though. Thanks.
Wow! That's really annoying. We had no idea YT had started doing that (or maybe we just hadn't noticed it before). We can't be the only ones it's annoying. I bet it's something we can control and turn off. THANK YOU!
I found the setting. Unfortunately, we hired an UpWork freelancer to help us optimize the channel and it looks as though he added End Screens to some of the videos. We're going to have to go through and remove them. Thank you so much for pointing this out. We had no idea.
@@TexasBackyardWildlife Cool. I liked your video cuz I just found a nest last Saturday and the mom kept the crows away and I kept the foxes away. Now they've all left the nest and are off doing other bunny things.
In Oklahoma. I saved a male a year ago. Now hes grown n lives in my house. Can leave at anytime. He loves. I love him. He allows me to hold. Pet. N sometimes carry. Sometimes sleeps with me. N licke my face i take him outside n he stays at my feet. I think he knows hes food for other animals n uses me as protection
Adorable. So funny that a rabbit can chase off a skunk!
Isn't it funny? We were very surprised.
With ears like that, they should be able to hear foxes *breathing* in the den!

Very nice presentation.

I love the compilations that I normally wouldn't get to see otherwise. My schedule being what it is, I never know what hour I'll be checking in.
You don't mess with rabbits! Thank you and Happy Christmas to you and yours.
We hope you had a happy Christmas, too!

That's funny about him running off the skunk
We thought it was hilarious. We laughed like children and replayed the video clip about 100 times.

I know. Poor little bunny. We know the foxes have got to eat, but...
I get theses all over my backyard! They are so cute, sometimes we see baby’s!
You are lucky! They are beautiful creatures.
Awesome, thank you +++. They're adorable, all of the animals you've shown here.Happy Holidays to you and your dear ones, TBW🌟🍸
Happy holidays and happy new year to you, too, M&M!
Great content as always!

Same to you, Amaris. Here's to a good 2023.

Those rabbits are so cute.I also have rabbits in my backyard 🐇😍
You are lucky, Huang Zou. We wish we had more rabbits. We love to see them.

True. They have a slightly anxious and guilty look on their faces.

I love the term "cottontail" 😃

i have that same bunny. SMARTEST bunny bread. I was able to train them little bit.
Really? We are impressed. We've never been able to get close to them. We really only see them on our cameras.
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for letting us know that you enjoyed the video, Susan.
so cute!
LOVE the cute encounter with the raccoon.
We don't know who was more surprised, the raccoon or the rabbit. It was really funny.
Cute ❤
Yeah
The magic tree den is getting a bit torn up.

hahaha, good ending
They are crepuscular critters! This means they come out in the evening.
Yes, they're crepuscular - most active at dawn and dusk, just like deer.
I very seldom see a cottontale
And we don't see anything like enough of them.
