If you’re not using a python lock, you can put your solar power cable through the 1-2 rear lock holes to assist in securing the cable.
Appreciate the information.
Am glad see you are using camera Holders and not the strap
The holders provide more options when aiming the camera. Thanks for watching.
I just came across your video; about to buy spypoint g-36's. I see amazon has the solar panels available. Is it still working after 1 year? Thank You for your time.
They are. Outlasting some of the cameras.
Have you found any other working options since the solar panel kit you tested isn’t available? TIA

Not the same price point and haven’t tested it yet but does have good reviews. Ever since xtracker reduced their price’s Amazon can’t keep them in stock.
Thank you for the video! Is this setup still working?
It is still working. I also use it with the Moultrie cams I have. Only problem now is buying the solar panel, Amazon is out of stock now. It’s been at a great price lately so been hard to get.
What solar panels did you use? Did they come from spy point?
I use X tracker game camera solar panels, the Spypoints are too expensive. There is a link in the description of the video. I have several in service now and have had great luck. Just loaded up on several because they are $20 off
Will the solar panel charge the batteries in the camera?
I dont use batteries in the camera itself. The solar panel has an internal battery it charges and thats what runs the camera.
What power output setting did you run to the camera ?
Power Output?
Did you use rechargeable batteries?
I don’t have batteries in it at all. Just running off the Solar now. I am just experimenting with different setups. Batteries are getting expensive so looking for some alternative setups.
Absolutely. These cams suck down some battery life. I was under the impression we had to connect the solar panel to an external battery then to the cam, but will try this.
Thanks
@@stottscreekoutdoors at 7:36 in the video you state that you "do have the batteries in the camera as well". I'm trying to setup with solar panel without batteries and having problems
@@MattWarren-ve1sb I started with them in it, but found out it didn’t need them in as long as the Solar Panel is working. That Solar Panel actually has a battery in it. Although just found that someone, loggers more than likely unplugged the solar panel from the camera so wish I had the batteries as back up.
So the camera will default to the solar panel as a primary source and not use batteries if installed. I just picked up a flex at Walmart for $60 so this is a great video to keep me from buying batteries. Much appreciated!
