Bring single may sound the best for food scarcity, not having to be emotionally attached to someone and risk of things like pregnancy or needing medicine for sickness BUT What happens when you're alone for long term and your psycology is impacted from long term lone wolfing it? Everybody swears they are loners till they afe forced to be. What happens when yoh have to balance time and work load of survival and 4 hands would be better? What happens when danger comes and nobody is there to watch your back? Same questions for a family vs a community. A community can be 20, 30, 100 people strong, a family of 4 or 6 cannot defend thenselves against an organized gang of people in a community group. If you're single, think Will Smith from I am Legend and how he behaved after long term lone wolfing it. And he had a dog. A Couple? Think of "I am Alive" on Netflix. A family? Think "It comes at night" family. A community? Think, Walking Dead after they settled down. Pros and Cons to each.

I really loved how immersive you were while playing this game. The beginning part where you were calling out "Tony! Tony!" really made me think it was the characters voice, MAN did i get confused when the actual character started talking.. Liked the gameplay and how you acted it out aswell. Very refreshing to see!

It's the classic setup in the Zombie apocalypse. Though the original Dawn of the Dead actually have SWAT teams make it out of the city. They probably didn't know you have to shoot them in the head, much like the guy playing.

@Derp Derp Dawn of the Dead also had fast zombies who would spread a disease in an urban environment much faster than the police could realistically control. Ironically the only movie I can remember at the moment that shows a plausible reason as to why the military doesn't curb stomp the zombies after the first week(s) is Resident Evil with much more tougher mutant zombies and much more importantly the whole desertification of the world thanks to the T-virus. Resident evil was a bad movie serie, but the scenario was pretty well thought out. Only reason why humans would lose from zombies even the fast ones is if there's simply no war to be fought and there's no real reason to waste sparse resouces to retake desert. The underground Umbrella base was en excellent show of that. They had plenty of weapons and manpower, but on the end of the day whether they cleared the zombies or not it wouldn't help them in the slightest. @osman_ajmal Perhaps the police were ambushed by turned inhabitants. The MC knows something is terribly wrong in the appartment thanks to his turned friend, perhaps the police tried to do their job too hurriedly and stirred up the whole nest so to speak. The zombies their quantity overwhelmed the police their quality and I doubt any of those cops were trained to deal with zombies.

Doubt it, they barely even recommend playing more than an hour at a time. It's pretty dangerous to play too long, I know some RUclipsrs have supposedly done it, but it's hard to know if it's true when most are condensed into a 10-20 minute video. In short, it ain't gonna happen, at least the 24 hour part.
Props to this game for building tension during the first act, especially with the phone calls and such. Reminds me of that bonus feature in Dawn of the Dead with the news coverage.

well it is a VR game, the zombies are made to be slow for the player. maybe if the tech for VR is getting more adaptable for player movement, the zombies in the future game will be made faster.

VR does that to ya. in a VR its as if you're actually there, and that is what's making his reactions so realistic. i have to say that the Vive VR tech is a lot better than Oculus Rift, because Oculus Rift just keeps you in a fixed position unless its not a true VR game and you just move the camera about. like in that one Lovecraftian styled game that theRadBrad played a while back. Still wish the tech didn't have your arms invisible. same concerning the body. kind of ruins the immersion for me. i wish the VR was more like it is in the first Department 19 book.
@Soron66 I played several Games with Oculus 2 Weeks ago and what you say is not entirely true. Depending on the game you can easily move around in a "normal fashion" using the Joypad (Onwards for example) and then using your body to do the rest (obviously limited by the area the sensors will cover). Also Steam VR is compatible with Oculus nowadays. Some games have free movement, some have teleporting and some others fixed cameras. It all depends more on the game, less on the Hardware I'd say. Also 360° is possible with 2 sensors from Oculus now even though I personally think 3 would be better due to limited visibility of both hands in certain positions (when holding a rifle or being prone. Yes, I once "hit the floor" when I was playing onwards and got shot at ;-) ). I am not trying to promote the Oculus here, but its wrong to claim it can't do it at all.

Contagion is definitely one of the most underrated zombie game. It got the most realistic gameplay of all zombie games I've played. Zombies cant run but mainly headshots kill them, just few of them closing in on you is enough to get you into some seriously trouble. Like how you wondered people keep getting killed by slow ass zombies in Walking Dead but after playing this game you'll find the answer for yourself. Really wished they made a none VR version of outbreak cuz I dont have a VR set to play this one.

I remember playing this game years ago on Steam. It was fun to co-op online with other people. It was still a but buggy and new, but it eventually died. Glad to see it re-purposed for VR.
It died mainly because the devs stopped giving a shit about the EA copies that people paid for. I don't know how they funded this but hopefully they don't make the same mistake.

VR does that to ya. in a VR its as if you're actually there, and that is what's making his reactions so realistic. i have to say that the Vive VR tech is a lot better than Oculus Rift, because Oculus Rift just keeps you in a fixed position unless its not a true VR game and you just move the camera about. like in that one Lovecraftian styled game that theRadBrad played a while back. Still wish the tech didn't have your arms invisible. same concerning the body. kind of ruins the immersion for me. i wish the VR was more like it is in the first Department 19 book.
@Soron66 I played several Games with Oculus 2 Weeks ago and what you say is not entirely true. Depending on the game you can easily move around in a "normal fashion" using the Joypad (Onwards for example) and then using your body to do the rest (obviously limited by the area the sensors will cover). Also Steam VR is compatible with Oculus nowadays. Some games have free movement, some have teleporting and some others fixed cameras. It all depends more on the game, less on the Hardware I'd say. Also 360° is possible with 2 sensors from Oculus now even though I personally think 3 would be better due to limited visibility of both hands in certain positions (when holding a rifle or being prone. Yes, I once "hit the floor" when I was playing onwards and got shot at ;-) ).
I am not trying to promote the Oculus here, but its wrong to claim it can't do it at all.

Contagion is definitely one of the most underrated zombie game. It got the most realistic gameplay of all zombie games I've played. Zombies cant run but mainly headshots kill them, just few of them closing in on you is enough to get you into some seriously trouble. Like how you wondered people keep getting killed by slow ass zombies in Walking Dead but after playing this game you'll find the answer for yourself.
Really wished they made a none VR version of outbreak cuz I dont have a VR set to play this one.

I remember playing this game years ago on Steam. It was fun to co-op online with other people. It was still a but buggy and new, but it eventually died. Glad to see it re-purposed for VR.
Yeah eventually it died.. But in VR it feels so good! Has great potential!
