Cool how you bring these old yet new bugs to the vise. I remember reading about tyvek as a material way back when. I think they use it house construction too. I've picked up some pieces on windy days. Thanks Charlie.
Thank you for tying on the best hooks available and not fancy marketed named hooks that are made in China. Tiemco are the best hooks hands down no arguments.
If you dont have Tyvek you can just use regular ol' paper.....once. You'll have to tie up 50 of these little guys so you can make a decent pass through an area though. =D
Really cool fly. I really like the placement of the legs-- in the middle of the bug, not sprouting out of the head (like Shane S. baetis nymph). Pretty simple tie but great profile. Question for you Charlie: when would you use this as opposed to a JuJu Baetis or Slim Shady etc...
Thanks once again Charlie C !!!!
Gonna attempt to fool these NW Michigan Fishes with Your Pattern ……
Merci 🎉

Great video and tie. Thanks. -H
That's a nymph I would like to fish.
Nice to see special patterns from the past. I will tie a few up for my upcoming trip to the Waioeka River down under in NZ. Regards!

Looks great Charlie!
That's kinda funny I 9ft.x 50ft right now. Didnt know it was used in fly tying. I,ll give it a try thanks charlie
I'm always interested in innovative use of materials in flies. I'll have to look this "tyvek" stuff up.

Now I know why the Arvada, CO USPS office is always low on mailing envelopes…😉

I tried to get some of that tyvek but they wouldn’t just let me have it I had to actually use it on the spot for priority mail lol
Nice!
