Okay, after watching the podcast with them and listening to all the music here's my take; Cari really thought they were meant to be and would eventually get married and be together forever BUT she also wanted to live her life and chase her dream and felt too young to commit, hoping, like REALLY hoping that Shannon would wait for her and if Shannon found someone in the meantime, they would just be a seat filler (she literally says this in 'Ego Talking'). Ultimately it was a fatal miscalculation of someone who was very young and it's going to haunt her the rest of her life. It's obviously haunted her for the past four years. The question is, does she still feel they're end game? Has she really let it go? And if they do both move on and eventually settle with other people, will she consider it the biggest mistake of her life?
Shannon is bouncing from one relationship to another and asked Rose and Rosie how do you know who is The One. That’s an indication she waiting for Cari to settle into their lives together.
Here’s the thing, Cari will be touring which means long distance for any relationship, and she pretty much sounds like she is still liking her freedom of not committing. Shannon is looking to commit, that alone is 2 people wanting 2 opposite things. It’s over
