Imagine having an exact replica of the destroyer tour stage, or the Love Gun stage, with Kiss as they were then. Probably just me doing the old 'if you had a time machine...' . I got into Kiss in '78, so anything they did before that time, I have always been hungry for; any video clips or pictures that I haven't seen, I'm straight there. Probably comes from living in the UK too; Kiss stuff wasn't as readily available as it was in the US back then, and nothing on telly, no internet etc. Anyway, we'll just have to wait and see how this evolves. I think they could even have Eric and Mark in there as well. Show the whole gamut of the band even the non makeup period. What I think will happen is the band will find a way to come back even if it takes 5 years. I think Paul and Gene along with Eric and Tommy could still tour if they stay in shape. I just don't think this will be the end. There will be more dissension from the original four and the drama will continue.

My two cents from an old KISS fan. They’ve been on both sides when it comes to good decisions and bad. Only time will tell which this is. I have a 13 year old daughter that loves classic rock. It's interesting, Paul Stanley, in the audiobook version of "Face the music", does say he could see even himself and Gene Simmons being replaced in the same way the Spaceman and Cat have been replaced countless times. So, I BELIEVE, KISS should've slowly introduced the replacements for Gene and Paul. The band would be a 6 piece. The intention? Being the successors to the Star child and Demon characters. Bare in mind, there's been plenty of bands who have had important members replaced and gone on to have a new era of success. A good look at what is coming for the future but I’m thinking it’s not really for me. I was fortunate enough to see them on the Animalize Tour, with Eric Carr crushing those drums, and Bruce Kulik replacing the short-lived Mark St. John. And then I saw the original four on their Farewell Tour. What more could I want? I’ve been a fan for such a long time, and still enjoy spinning their albums (Destroyer was the first album I ever had) but over the past 20 years or so I’ve really soured on Paul and Gene and their incessant need to crap all over Ace and Peter with every available breath, and then Gene having the gall to say he’s angry that they didn’t agree to do any encores with them on the last leg of the tour. And nothing against Tommy Thayer or Eric Singer, but if I’m gonna shell out what will probably be an over-priced fee to see avatars, I want to see Ace and Peter. I’m not surprised Kiss are going this route. They’ve always been arguably more interested in the image and the marketing and the business.
My first rock concert was KISS DYNASTY 1979 a couple months before Peter left. Having seen this avatar stuff all I can say is LMFAO! Will these 2 knuckle heads ever get over winning the lottery, yet coming up empty? So damn cringe on so many levels lol. To think how they hated Phantom of the Park, but love this.
The problem is Kiss themselves. When it was announced about doing this with ABBA, it was kind of like making them younger, and how REAL they could make these avatars look. Kiss isn't really about looking real, or looking like younger versions of themselves.
This is a great idea. If it’s done as well as the Abba show in London, it will be fantastic. That CGI that they showed I don’t think is anywhere near the finished product. Kiss as a entity is no longer. This isn’t aimed at mid 50s guys like me. This is for casual fans that just want to hear I was made for Lovin’ you and see a show, that they either were too young to see, or just never saw the big show. It’s for the 10 year old that just discovered them. When we are all dead and gone in 30-40 years, this will be common place. Go have a look at how good the Abba one is, same people behind the Kiss one, if it turns out as good, it’s a winner. I’m by no means a super Elvis fan, but if they were did a Elvis ‘73 as good as Abba, I’d be throwing my money at time. I’m sure I’ll get crapped over for this comment, and feel free because I won’t be reading the hateful replies 👍👍, but I have to wonder, all this, it’s doomed, it will fail, it won’t succeed talk, sounds a little like before their first album come out, no? I hope as more acts age out of performing, that this moves forward. Unless you have found a way to defeat Father Time, it’s the next best time. If you aren’t impressed by the Abba stuff, you might be better off sitting on your front porch, yelling at the clouds, shaking your fist! Let the flaming and hate begin! Peace! 😊
It’s interesting many compare the avatars to ABBA’s. The main difference is ABBA last toured in 1980 and didn’t flog the same tired clicktrack and “assisted” performances round and round the block. I’m a huge Kiss fan but have not seen them live since Sonic Boom due to Paul’s voice being shot. There seems to be a bad taste in the mouth after the last MSG show by not even mentioning at least Ace & Peter, never mind Eric Carr & Bruce. A victory lap was made into a cartoon trailer. I was expecting Scooby Doo to pop up. I’d like to wish this project all the best though, however, who is this going to be attractive to as the majority of Kiss fans, like me, are of a certain vintage. Maybe they will have a VR package as only technology is the limit.
I'm neither here or there regarding the avatars, what does seem rather ridiculous is rather than roll back the ravages of time with Gene and Paul making their avatars appear how they looked in the mid 80s, they went with their 70+ year old saggy faced puffy road worn selves. How are these avatars going to preserve their youth when the avatars look like bloated 74 year old, old men? Now on the flip side, I've never really cared for how Tommy looks in the makeup but his avatar corrected that wide jawed horrible look and I did like the cool things the Spaceman avatar could do. Eric's looks cool as well. Funny how the hired players look better then the band 'members'.
Oddly the Eric and Tommy likenesses are spot on, Gene and Paul's not so much. Paul's looks like an everyman in a tribute show putting his makeup on - they need to sharpen the two founders up. The question is, why not have them the young versions of themselves like ABBA did? Becuase I think that would beg the question, 'if Gene and Paul are young, where's Ace and Peter,? LOL. They need to talk with Marvel again, get their blood into digital ink and have one hell of an avatar action film.
I am having mixed emotions about the avatar thing, which, by the way it had been announced that they are going to pay a hefty amount of around 20 million, or something like that on the avatars. That it quite a lot of cash for something that fail like the Elder, unless it will be more to it than just the avatars alone. But I am not going be too critical because it might be awesome. So I can't say nothing if I haven't seen it yet. I am looking forward more to seeing the biopic which is suppose to be coming out on Netflix. Wonder what the latest is on that.
I'm confused. Are they suggesting that a live audience goes to see like holograms and 3-d versions of the show? Or will it just be a 2-d home video thing? And another thought: i wonder why no band would ever consider having younger versions of themselves continue on, as a Kiss 2.0 I guess? They still would make a killing
Love your channel. I just gave the new single from Ace a listen. It is the title track from his new album 10,000 watts. I absolutely loved it! I would love to see you give your opinion on that.
@@classicalbum Sounds good. I felt like I took a trip back to the 80's seeing his new video which is always a welcome trip back to when I was young, cool and spent my cash on albums and concerts. 😁
Maybe you can ask Ace why he insulted KISS fans by calling them not very bright? The same fans that basically buy his music and help fill the 300 seat clubs and theaters he plays all year long.
@@wigimonster8909 Thats probably why. Most kiss fans these days don't even know they are paying a guy to pretend to be Ace. Ace's persona, Ace's licks. While Ace, who actually still brings it, is playing the club circuit. The venom between all those guys is sad. They had a wild idea, worked hard and became larger then life mega stars as all their wildest dreams came true. It would be nice if they let bygones be bygones, remember the good times and what those 4 guys accomplished and go out giving the fans what they want. A nostalgic last show as "The Hottest Band in the Land" with a triumphent exit on stage. The Demon, The Starchild, the Spaceman and the Catman one last show. Life is short why hold grudges.
Im all for it but ticket prices need to reflect the fact there are no roadies, staff, or even members of the actaul band! Cheap is what i want. I was even too tight to become a member of the kiss army. 💋
its going to be a Pink Floyd laser show, get over it lol, will more than likely be a fun event but I honestly do not see anybody paying more than 30 bucks for this but if it comes through with a 2500+ pyro show i could see paying 35 or 40 but at the end of the day its just a live arena jam out with visuals, Im fine with it unless they try to charge full ticket price (they pry will) LOL but to each their own
Now in April 2024 KISS have announced their sell-out to a third-party Swedish investor. The KISS branding, logo's and license are now the financial premise of the same 'interest' that is pushing the AI avatar debacle. Real KISS fans saw the writing on the wall after Dec. 2/23. Gene Simmons has said himself he prefers a living, breathing KISS 2.0 show as do the majority in KISS fandom. With a projected roll-out date of 2027 it is evident the creators of this still limited AI technology need time to refine their product.
This is so so cool ! There's no other band in the history of music who fits better than Kiss in this way ... As SUPER HEROES ! My personal dream and idea is to see a Kiss avatar concert at the Sphere in Las Vegas,it would be so cool ... BUT THIS IS NOT THE ONLY MOVE THEY PREPARE
Well from a safety point of view at least the road crew won't have to pick Gene up after he falls over! I didn't mention lip syncing a sign of the times! Well if Abba can do it I'm sure kiss can!
A new version of kiss will tour in next few years ,definitely gene and paul will go on tour with them as advisors, the avatars will be cool for a while but will get boring, and people will lost interest and fade away like there nfl team 😂😂
This whole avatar concept will fall flat forcing Paul & Gene to re-think how to move the brand forward. Ultimately they will create a reality TV show where they pick the next 4 KISS members. So long as they pick talented committed musicians this would have the most chance of working and touring the theater circuit around the world.
I'd never even heard of ABBA doing this until other KISS fans mentioned how much of a success it's been now that KISS is going to do it. Everyone, I think this is about as uninteresting & lame as it can be. Why would I care about a virtual band? There's real musicians out there making real music, explore it. Even those of us who aren't that young may find something new that we like. Avatars? no thanks but I'm not going to judge.
I can't get over how bad some of those avatars are. As a 3D animator I can't understand how a 3D modeler could fail so bad on Paul's face, and as a Kiss fan from the '70s I don't know why you would use the two imposters' faces instead of Ace and Peter. To hell with Gene's contractual wallet ( or more accurately, his ego).
I first saw Kiss in 1976 The Destroyer tour, now that was Kiss they were bigger that any band then even Zeppelin at that time. I was 15 and I was hooked! As the years went by they lost their way and Ace and Peter saw this and got out for good reasons! Worst thing they did was let the original cast go and removed the makeup! They completely lost me after 1979. Truthfully they went on a little too long, should’ve wrapped it all up in 2000!
They just want to get in front of the AI world. Stupid is what it is. Notice that they didn't go with the replacement band like a KISS version of Menudo. That's because even they know that it would never be accepted by fans of the 70's band. I think you said it right when you said that they are using the likeness of Frankenfrehly and Copycat, it's an attempt to legitimize this version. Might as well watch their Scooby Do or Family Guy episodes.
Everytime I've seen Kiss in a cinema there was always bout 10 people in there. This will fail the same way . They had a chance to make a great last tour . It failed miserably. Shame
Paul lip syncs even in my dreams. I had the dream where Schnuffel Bunny performed with KISS a bunch of their songs and Paul was lip syncing even there 😂. Though Firehouse obviously wasn't lip synced 'cause Paul sounded like shit during this song. Gene and the bunny sang with him though, thank god
I stopped being a fan when Paul started impersonating himself as a mime. Was a fan since 1978, but the lip synching was the limit for me. Can’t stand KISS now.
I understand ABBA doing it. But kiss doing it just makes this stupid. Why? Because now you are pushing the idea that bands don't need to tour anymore, just sit at home and pocket your money while you watch them on a screen. The most expensive cinema ticket you have ever bought. It's not natural and wouldn't stand up at all for me. The best thing about a concert is seeing your band on stage and connecting with them
ACE PETER creSted the characters and seems this another way to stop the other two members from profits from their original creation. It would be better is the could co back to first year and stages they didn't use. Eric and Tommy didn't create anything and Gene and Paul didn't do it all by themselves....the drums looks stupid. They didn't look real at all, Paul doesn't look like Paul and the sound we loved the first five albums
Kiss is the most influential band from the last last 50 years, from Metallica to Lady Gaga, the Kiss DNA is seeing everywhere ...THE ONLY band in the history of music wich their faces were unkown for 10 years year,s ...The only phenomenon band wich had all their 4 original members as lead vocals ...everybody singing in their own style ...in fact Kiss sings in a few styles through 50 years ...The best live band ever,it doesnt matter how many lazers and bombs you put on stage,it matters THE SKELETON OF THE SHOW WICH IS ICONIC ! Everybody have Kiss DNA in show as well, but nobody have their own roles in the show as SUPER HEROES ! Kiss is not perfect and nothing is perfect except God ...but still Kiss is the best band ever
Being a live band, they didnt promoted on videos much more songs, they have songs much better than the oficial videos and some of them different ...this was a mistake ...on the other way ,they had enemies since the very beginning that stupid religious groups ,otherwise Kiss would be even bigger ...However in my opinion Kiss is the best band that's ever been
everything about this as far away from rock as you can get. Gene Simmons always says rock is dead.....and this is another nail in the coffin imho. Rock is heading straight into fakery and BS now. May as well just be pop music.
In the Spanish Civil War, they said "If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next". Unfortunately, our children already tolerate it. We're next. Honestly - good luck to them. Every viable band is in form or another a corporation or a franchise these days I'd like to see a betting market on the next legacy artist to move to avatar mode. I'm betting on inveterate money-sponger Bruce Springsteen. He's always been a cartoonish buffoon in real life.

Peace! 😊
I shall probably go and see it, and take my son
The KI$$ Kash Kow grifts on!! 😆😆😆
Stanley, “the band deserves to live on…” Deserves?! 😆😆😆🤔😆😆😆😆
A Kiss World sandbox GTA Style video game would be pretty cool.
Avatars arent for me im afraid, loved the humour once again in the video....ageing members lol
Kiss jumped the shark with that one.
I think they jumped the shark with The Elder!
I think it's funny, these guys are more of a joke than ever
Love your channel. I just gave the new single from Ace a listen. It is the title track from his new album 10,000 watts. I absolutely loved it! I would love to see you give your opinion on that.
I might reach out to Ace's people for an interview
Will the avatars be using backing tracks as well? This will be worse than Phantom of the Park. The Kiss that mattered to me has been gone for a while.
A fool and his money are soon parted
They were a band!
Im all for it but ticket prices need to reflect the fact there are no roadies, staff, or even members of the actaul band! Cheap is what i want. I was even too tight to become a member of the kiss army. 💋
I wonder how much the Abba tickets were
its going to be a Pink Floyd laser show, get over it lol, will more than likely be a fun event but I honestly do not see anybody paying more than 30 bucks for this but if it comes through with a 2500+ pyro show i could see paying 35 or 40 but at the end of the day its just a live arena jam out with visuals, Im fine with it unless they try to charge full ticket price (they pry will) LOL but to each their own
Your t-shirt makes your views moot.
I think your comments makes you an ignorat twat quite frankly, I wear all sorts of music related T-shirts
Will the psycho circus continue the dynasty? Or will the destroyer bring it alive one two or three?😊
Well from a safety point of view at least the road crew won't have to pick Gene up after he falls over! I didn't mention lip syncing a sign of the times! Well if Abba can do it I'm sure kiss can!
The question is, will we pay money for it?
Greedy old men.
Chaim Witz&Stanley Eisen is it never enough....
When I first saw I thought it was terrible and I don't think they're going to make as much money as they think they'll make
A new version of kiss will tour in next few years ,definitely gene and paul will go on tour with them as advisors, the avatars will be cool for a while but will get boring, and people will lost interest and fade away like there nfl team 😂😂
This whole avatar concept will fall flat forcing Paul & Gene to re-think how to move the brand forward. Ultimately they will create a reality TV show where they pick the next 4 KISS members. So long as they pick talented committed musicians this would have the most chance of working and touring the theater circuit around the world.
Haud me back...
Set the scene for me with Lick It Up.
Rip rip. Rip and destroy!
Kiss = 😂😂😂😂😂
Why give up just because Ace and Peter messed up . Those two could have still been in Kiss if they really wanted to.
This is a lame cash grab, but what do you expect its Kiss.
Exactly. what do you expect from glorified grifters?
Everytime I've seen Kiss in a cinema there was always bout 10 people in there. This will fail the same way . They had a chance to make a great last tour . It failed miserably. Shame
*there were
Have you ever wondered about your IQ when you found yourself in an empty cinema watching a Kiss movie?
Immortal ? They should have just gone away, about 20 years ago.
Let's say they should have never existed.
I said back in the late 70s in the future it will be holograms on stage people laughed really now look😅
I stopped being a fan when Paul started impersonating himself as a mime. Was a fan since 1978, but the lip synching was the limit for me. Can’t stand KISS now.
I notice as well Scab Avitars, no respect for Ace and Peter.
😂
What's the difference? Kiss were always imposters.........I mean "avatars"
Kiss are just silly. Always have been.
I’ve always considered them to be a joke band…
not even a good joke.
Being a live band, they didnt promoted on videos much more songs, they have songs much better than the oficial videos and some of them different ...this was a mistake ...on the other way ,they had enemies since the very beginning that stupid religious groups ,otherwise Kiss would be even bigger ...However in my opinion Kiss is the best band that's ever been
@@AlinComan-j7j
I hate to burst your bubble but the Beatles are a little bit better than Kiss.

@@Duck_Dodgers
You forgot The Monkees.
lol i bet this avatar crap has the same ol boring setlist pfft
The avatars look ridiculous and the current Fake Frehley and Peter Cheater version of the band is utterly useless.
But we already have Scooby meets KISS 😂😂 boring
everything about this as far away from rock as you can get.
Couldn't just bow out gracefully, they figured out a way to still make some dollars.....for suckers.
what's next ? 2025 virtual reunion tour ? what a joke, just retire, when Peter and Ace left ,I dumped kiss ,one more money grab 😅😅😅
Haters gonna hate
I'm being grumpy for the sake of it... I shall go and watch this
