hey, great to hear you mention Isabell Hicky, a great influence on me. good to hear a more personal interview about your life. I can relate with my 16 degrees Mars having a cancer sun. we left ncy and moved to the Poconos in second grade.
I had to refrain from my astrological work the past 2 years, but now sit on a bamboo deck chair on a San Diego balcony listening to Rick's history with this "metaphysical drug". The coincidences occurring now are palpable. I received an FB friend request from Jeff two weeks ago, to jump-start me on my next journey with it all. He was somehow certainly catalyzing my focus. Big love.
Hi Moira. I think I'm missing something here. You received a FB friend request from Jeff Jawer a couple of weeks ago?! Hmmm... He's on social media from the other side, huh? I can't believe it's been eight years since he passed. It still seems like yesterday.
Rick ~ yes. I was stunned myself. I relayed to my son how Jeff and I had attended UMass-Amherst. He found an astrology program there that I, several years later, never knew existed. It was as if he were reminding me "it's never too late".
I have them handmade and hand-painted at a worker-owned textile collective in Indonesia, where I've been going to teach astrology every year or two for nearly twenty years.
Watching this video really made my Sunday morning. It was a real please learing about Ricks younger years. I truly miss seeing him with Jeff. Hope to meet you someday Rick!
I kind of follow Rick Levine on his different platforms. This is the best conversation with him that I have seen so far. Thanks Rick for sharing your life with us, it was very inspiring. 😎
I would love to hear a lecture by Rick on the fact there are more than 12 signs in the sky and how those other signs that might dip a toe into the ecliptic plane could be used in the zodiac, if at all. It would be an interesting exercise at least.
Since modern astrology is NOT constellation-based but season-based, it really doesn't matter what constellations touch the ecliptic. There cannot be more than 12 signs in the zodiac since the zodiac, by definition, is a cycle divided by 12. It's like saying there can be a 4-sided triangle. Nope. But there are NOT 12 signs in the zodiac up there. Those 12 signs are within our minds. They are a product of our imagination. We made them up. We made up the constellations. The stars in constellations are not even near one another. Because of vast astronomical distances and because constellations don't consider the stars distances from Earth, the constellations are strictly based upon our perspective from here on Earth.
An astrologer named Linda Martin was in New York a few years ago and she spoke of the 13th harmonic! We can cast are horoscope with it by, of course, Multiplying our planet places by 13. A deepened view. I miss her!
Rick is my favorite astrologer and Astrology teacher! I am a member of Astrology Hub and I love his classes! I am a Sagittarius rising and I can’t get enough of learning Astrology. I will be taking Rick’s latest classes on quintiles and septiles. I have a packed Aries house and a prominent Uranus like Rick. My IC @9Aries (opposite MC and Uranus @9Libra), Chiron and Eris @12Aries, Pallas and Part of Fortune @23Aries, Venus @26Aries (Biquintile Jupiter @2Sag and Neptune @1Sag 12H), and Mercury @28Aries. 🤩✌️💕✨♉️☀️♑️🌙♐️⬆️
@@RickLevine Sorry to be opportunistic in this thread, am part of this wonderful course on Aspects also, and am wondering how we join the live sessions as I have not received any Zoom info? I'm based in Barcelona so am unlikely to make it due to pesky timezones, but would love to have a chance to join! Seems like the first session has already happened? Fantastic interview, thanks both! So excited to learn of _Quantum Astrology_'s imminent publication!🎩
Rick-10:53- guess I went to the wrong college- Stony Brook sounds great. I went to Fredonia. Born in Bronx. Lived in Queens, Brooklyn, then as a teen in upstate N.Y. (West Nyack) and ran off to Fredonia- the furthest state college from my parents. Big 12th house chart- not feel belong to that family. Still don't.
1:38:34 I agree in 100% with that concept: " There are not 12 signs up there. It´s artificially made up." If we look at nature ( and planets and stars, etc., are a part of nature ) there are no regular forms or structures: Rivers, mountains, oceans, constelations, etc., all have an irregular shapes. So there is no logical reason to think that the "zodiac" should have a regular shape or form ( 12 equal sectors of 30º each one). That´s why I began to be interested in the " TRUE SIDERIAL SISTEM." This sistem takes in consideration the real size of the constelations and make each sign proportional to the size of the constelations from where they take their names. So that, for example: The signs of Piscis and Virgo have more than 30º, and the signs of Aries and Cancer have less than 30º. In this way an irregular wheel seems much more natural and the most important it shows the real position of planets in the sky !!!
Yep. Just remember that even the unequal signs of the zodiac are also made up. There is no sign of Pisces or Aries. In fact, the stars in each individual constellation are not in proximity to each other, since their distances can be thousands of light years apart. Our imaginations impose human images on the apparent clusters. Even the "real" size of the constellations are a human construct of imagination. Of course, that doesn't invalidate their usefulness.

Just when I thought Rick couldn’t get cooler or I could like him more.
Awww.... thanks, Johnny B.

Hey Drea, My Mercury is at 9Aries. May Mars/Venus at 12/13 Aries. My North Node at 26 Aries. Just a few connections, huh?

I'm sorry may I ask again what that first book you mentioned having to do with astrology in twentieth-century psychology was?
We will try and find out for you, Lindsay :)
His prediction for the future of Astrology discoveries is spot on but the discovery won’t happen at MIT. They’ll happen at Kepler College.
If you think about it, we made up everything in the world that we think we know. .
