I do the same sometimes, mixing foundation with moisturizer; however, BEFORE you do this you need to make sure that the base of both are the same. If you use a water based foundation with an oil/silicone base you’ll notice that it starts to separate throughout the day.

My skin gets oily over time so my foundation is the powder kind. I use face lotion that doesn't clog pores to moisturize my dry skin and then apply foundation. Then I use a BB sun screen cream to help further even it all out while providing sun protection. This method helps cover the light acne scars I have. But since covid-19 quarantine, I been not trying to look good hahaha
mixing foundation / bb cream etc. with primers will also bring out the glass skin. It actually works, I've received many compliments from ppl around me after I started using this trick... regardless of what brand you use, this trick is genius.

Just one note from me (as a girl, if gender even matters) --- don't ignore your nose ): You were so concerned about your cheeks, you forgot to blend out your foundation mixture on your nose... the rest of your face had nice consistent coverage, but your nose was a little patchy.
