Long Gone Days is an ambitious title that attempts to showcase the horrors of war and the effect it has on citizens and those who fight. The themes can be a little dark at times, and not every mechanic lands. Despite this, it is a game with a lot of heart that manages to stand out in a wave of RPGs. While it may not hit the mainstream, I am certain that Rourke and the rest of his friends will be talked about for years to come.

I started and graduated highschool before this came out. Oddly Nostalgic.
Yea I was working at Dualshockers when it released in early access haha - Azario
Review starts at 3:20
Totally forgot about this game. Played the demo way back in 2017 I think but avoided picking it up in early access due to the unfinished story. Glad to hear it ended up alright! I enjoyed the demo and will pick it up at some point.
"Somos el mejor pais de Chile, hermano !"
It's a In-joke between us chileans.
Made the mistake of watching this review, way to spoil the game. Slow clap.
Thanks for the warning
That's 9/10 for me
Times when you don't understand the language are exactly so you get confused and actually feel like you're the guy in another country who has mo idea what's going on
The fight is simple, but that's not a con
After completing the game focusing on normal attacks and items, I know there's another way to play it focusing on using skills in battles and choosing SP regeneration at the end most of the times
The ending itself - I think there are 2 endings?
I didn't get the super happy one, if there even is one like that - the ending was exactly the opposite what I expected from a game and exactly what I expect would happen in real life
And that hit me the most
Oh Sgt. Branna, I was already interested in the game, didn't need any more convincing
*stares disrespectfully
Thanks for the review but next time don't spend 3 min spoilin the whole game 😂
Yea…I was thinking that should have been caught in editing, but honestly, this review came in too close to embargo to make major changes. I think we’ll just need to improve our approach to reviews as a team. - Azario (I edited the video)
@@NoisyPixelNews So.. we shouldn’t watch this review if we don’t want spoilers? Or has it been amended? Love your reviews but also don’t wanna be spoiled as I’ve been waiting for this game for ages
I got the impression that the first 3 min was just discussing a clearly (not-even) foreshadowed plot point that might come up on the 'back cover' of the game, or was it actually more than that?
You just spoiled 80% of the story. Everything except ending. Come on man
I remember seeing this on gamejolt
Spec Ops the Line RE Chain of Memories?
Kudos to the devs for trying to do something interesting instead of gimmicks and lazy genre conventions.
Game looks great but this review’s beginning feels way too spoilery lol
We’ll do better
No worries, it happens! Just found out the devs are from Chilean so, between that and your review, I ended up buying it!
@@n3kob0ii87 Are you playing it immediately?
Got the impression that they were just 'spoiling' an item that would have been on the back cover of a physical release.
Was going to wishlist it, but with all the 'spoilers, come on!' comments I'm a bit hesitant now.
Looks like its worth checking out
The anime inspired art style is too jarring in contrast to the pixel art style. It seems out of place.
Jesus, what a mistake to watch this. Only missed to spoil the ending credits with your review.
This writer doesn’t work here anymore 😅
Spoilers, but the story is pretty mid
Bout DAMN TIME this game finally dropped. 😒
Probably will pick this one up immediately, if for no other reason than I remember it being one of the first games I wish listed back when I first started gaming on Steam. Also had a few nice conversations with the creator. Told him I'd support the product once it was released. Guess it's time to pay the piper.
