I’ve been listening to that song almost everyday since it came out in 2012. Somehow it helped to go through my hard times during highschool and even to this day. That song means a lot to me, I’m definitly gonna name my daughter "Matilda"

i’ve known this song for almost 4 years, and I have listened to it without knowing it’s meaning, until now that I have just watched Leon: The Professional, and i’ve gotta say, that this is a masterpiece. It’s so powerful I couldn’t take back my tears after the movie and now everything makes just sense.
When I saw the ending of the movie for the first time in my life the song came into my head almost instantly. Needless to say I was blown away at just how they encapsulated the movie in a few bars.

I still remember I was 13 (2013) when my friend suggested this song to me, tbh I didn't like it but after few listens I was like "oh uh this isn't bad" until I became obsessed with it lol, the next day I went to my friend saying oh god give me more songs please so he sent me "Taro" "breezblocks" "Fitzpleasure" in my MP3 and he also suggested "Radiohead (my favorite band of all time, Pink Floyd, GNR..."
Now it's almost 2023 and I haven't heard anything from him because we separated in high school but I'm so grateful that I met him, he has changed my life 200% and and changed my way of thinking about life and he opened my eyes to a lot of things especially my musical taste. People often say: 'oh that's a catchy song' or 'I can't get that song out of my head', and I think yeah, I'm sure they'll forget about it in a few moments though. When people say those same sorts of comments about this song though I really do believe them. I believe them because I TOO CANNOT STOP LISTENING TO THIS SONG. I first heard it in an energizing yoga class playlist and I have been playing it ever since. There's something about this song that words simply can't quite describe; I don't just 'want' to listen to the song, I NEED to hear it. I've never had this with a song before. I also agree with others that watching the film "Léon: The Professional" makes the song even more special.

Hey Band, I have known you since I discovered Breezeblocks back in 2016 when I was happier. In the last four years, I have been through immense amount of pain emotionally. And I rediscovered you in 2021. I went to see you live in Milan in 2022 with my best friend. I feel like I am ready for what comes next and this song and your music overall is providing a cushion for soft landing. It's cementing my position in the reality that I didn't choose but was forced onto.

Well. I certainly lost this staring contest.
it both warms and disturbs me that this movie still has following. i first saw it as a little kid back when it was new..... no idea where my parents were, letting me watch that.... but i loved it so much that when it came on again i recorded it on VHS so i could watch it again. sadly i missed the first ten minutes..... about two or three years later my mom (of all people) gave me an official copy for Christmas....which i loaned to my bestest of friends at the time... a kid named Brett Butler. We both wanted to grow up to be Cleaners.
