In this video I’m doing a collab with my friend and fellow artist here on RUclips, Garrick Brown from @Garrick Brown Art Studio. We decided to do a modified bloom (Inspired by Cindy Vanderveen and Sharmin Khan) since neither one of us has done one before and thought it would be a fun challenge. These modifications were incredible and interesting Jodie. I don’t know how your hand can be so still. I’ve been watching Cindy modify her blooms and made some attempts to copy the technique, however find it difficult to gauge how shallow/deep to use the stick. A work/technique in progress 🤩💖🤩
Thank you so much Bron! Believe me in some areas where I have to reach my hand isn’t as steady but a longer stick helps. With using the stick it does take practice to not go all the way down to the canvas, I still do it at times myself. Just keep doing it and practicing and you’ll totally get it! 😃🤗💜💜

Gorgeous. It's amazing that you still sound like you're not 100% confident that you're great at the modify bloom, because that painting is amazing and it's all due to your detailed modify work. If I didn't watch this video and I just saw that painting I would have guessed that you've been doing these for years now. I'm going to try this and I hope mine comes out half as good.
Wow thank you so much Clinton! Truly this was my 4th attempt, I did 3 smaller practice pieces in preparation for this collab but I think part of it is it’s just relaxing to let your mind kind of get into the design and go where it wants 🤗 . Totally give it a go! 🌺
