I think the stock market will do well in 2024, so I'm thinking of putting $220,000 into stocks for my retirement. Any advice on doing this safely? Also, any important tips for the current financial situation?
Yes, truly, investing in the market, even if it's just the S&P 500, can keep up with inflation, because the growth rate of stocks will always exceed the inflation rate. But if you don't have the courage, you could just invest with a financial advisor, which even has greater return on investments, while securing your investment against losses.
I deal with an investment advisor for this reason. I currently have over $70k invested in a diversified portfolio that has grown exponentially and is suitable for all market seasons under guidance. Our current project for this year is a more concrete ballpark target this year.

you are completely right, Advisors have information and paths that are not disclosed to the public.. I profited £560k in 2022 under the tutelage of my Fiduciary-counselor. Am I selling? Absolutely not.. I am going to sit back and observe how this all plays out.

If everyone could know the future they would live differently, if it was the right decision in the moment, it was the right decision. No point getting pissed or emotional, but it's still fun to imagine.

Saw my first cyber truck yesterday, up close and personal and good god that thing is fuggly. I’m sticking and staying married to my TSLA stock but man that thing is no bueno. 😖
Maybe it goes sideways or down in summer, but it peaks only in June-July, and before that it pumps like crazy in May. Next few months will be euphoric, forget about deeper corrections. Stock market is already oversold, put/call ratio near extreme levels, May is historically bullish for tech stocks (if earnings come out good). Bitcoin will probably chop around here and close month negatively (first time in 8 months), then to the moon! And even if there is a larger correction in the future, it will happen above previous ATH, that's where BTC.D dumps and altseason kicks in. So the fun is just getting started...It's not about guessing the market's next move; it's about playing it smart and steady during trading...managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Tobias Hawke, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

My only problem with the cybertruck is that stereotypical truck owners won’t tend to latch on as well as other car consumers. The truck owners tend to talk smack on electric vehicles and admire diesel ran automobiles instead

Thats when you hire someone to manage your money. You need a (CFP) straight up! personally, I would invest in ETF's and also love investing in individual stocks.

I disagree. I have not spoken to many people that like the cyber truck.
While I respect your position on Tesla cyber truck as “Cool” and the majority of 1500, and f150s are sold to soccer moms and dads, the F250 is a work truck and can tow 22,000 pounds over 500-700 miles without refueling, Cybertruck can go 250-300 without towing. It will never eat into that market segment without serious improvements in towing and range.

I like to hear to your opinion about stocks, since it gives me new information to think about.
But damn, I couldn't disagree more on the cybertruck. I won't even get into the engineering problems. From an aesthetic point of view it is the ugliest car I have seen in a while. I would rather drive one of those small cubes with faces than a cybertruck, aesthetically speaking. Very few cars earn the title of iredeemeable, but the cybertruck is probably my first iredeemeable car from an aesthetic point of view. There is nothing I can salvage about it.

Sorry, Jeremy, love you and usually agree with you. But we definitely don't agree on the threat of the Cybertruck to pickups like F150. Completely different consumer demographics. And CT has small niche appeal. The type of people who buy F150s usually mock Tesla products, even if they agree with Musk's politics.
