Hit that SUBSCRIBE button and watch another Barnacules Nerdgasm video right after this one! 🍿 Nvidia RTX Voice is an audio application & driver developed for Microsoft Windows 10 to instantly removes all microphone background noise in real time utilizing the massive processing power from your Nvidia RTX GPU Tensor cores via CUDA programming API to run complex machine learning & artificial intelligence algorithms to dynamically determine what is a human voice & what is not on the fly. This means you can live stream or record videos in noisy environment with things like phones, vacuums, lawn mowers, leaf blowers, fans, air conditioners, mechanical keyboards, dogs barking & banging on your desk, etc all being silenced from your viewers with only your voice getting through which seems like complete magic the first time you experience it.
    👇 Corrections & Mistakes 👇
    (1) When you edit the RTXVoice.nvi file to get this working on non-RTX cards make sure you run the setup.exe in c:\temp\NVRTXVoice\NvAFX and not the downloaded executable otherwise it will overwrite your changes and fail again.

This is a longshot, but perhps Nvidia could set up a way for users to run this application on their phones for a small fee and have the audio sent off to a local datacenter, where RTX cards could deal with the noise. Much like they have been doing with great success on GeForce Now. Not something that would be of use to me, but I'm sure it would be of use to someone like yourself who spends a lot of their time in a workshop surrounded by noisy tools.

Sooo.... I have a lot of ambient noise so I was eager to try this. I installed while watching the video and was listening along. Well, I had the 'remove background noise from incoming audio' option selected so every before/after you were doing in the video sounded exactly the same. I was convinced you were making a gag video or became a crazy person. Pretty awesome that it filtered the audio from your video in real time and I couldn't tell it from the audio you filtered on your end.

I've been playing with this for days, it never gets old 😂, I've even used the incoming noise filter for my friends fans, children, vaping and it works really well (not perfect, some words were muffled or partly removed....but still amazing). I've been running this on an RTX card, but the GTX cards work fine (with a notable impact on performance). I tried this with an old GTX 980 I had and the only warning I would add to your great tutorial for making RTX voice work with GTX cards is that the spacing and formatting of the lines when you delete (for example must be directly underneath without and blank lines). Great video, made me realise I'm not insane for doing the same things...........If something works well, you gotta try and break it 😂

I'm using this filter for my mic in OBS but also as my Output device in Discord. I now pick up Discord's output separately from all other audio into my OBS and can therefore apply a Compressor Filter to it, without it affecting my game's audio whatsoever on the stream (which makes it sound super wonky). • @Barnacules

You can actually turn it on and off quite easy so you have a scenario where you need more than voice recorded you just click it off and then click it back on when you need it. I want to see if in the next version I can get them to give me a hot key to activate and deactivate it so I can bind it to my stream deck.

This is the moment i really see the value of rtx cards for private use. Absolutely impressive.
For me two questions are coming up though,
    - What about unwanted filters, for example is it possible to directly train / influence the algorithm towards another sound source (another speaker, shifts in my voice like singing or imitating, musical instruments...)
    - Does the driver do all the learning locally, or will it send samples towards nvidia for evaluation and learning purposes

FOR ANYONE HAVING INSTALLATION ISSUES ON NON RTX CARDS:
You have to do it exactly right. I was wondering why this wasn’t working for me - I was opening the setup file from the desktop which would refresh all the files and undo the changed I made. You MUST open the setup file in the “C: > temp > NVRTXVoice” folder, otherwise all of the changes you made will be reverted.

    • @Krydolph

The secret is to replace your breaker with a bent coin, or a nail or something! Those last so much better!
(To anyone stupid enough to think of doing this, just know you will most likely burn your house down, there is a reason those things are there you know)

    • @Razor2048
      @Razor2048 4 года назад

Shut off the power to your room, and then pull out a few of the outlets and measure the gauge of wire that is being used. After that, replace the breaker for that room with one that will allow for extra amperage but not exceed the rating of the wire. Often times you will see 15 amp breakers on wires that can handle 25+ amps based on the usual run lengths. In those cases, you can usually just swap the 15 amp for a 20 amp and i will be safe. If you are not comfortable and or not skilled with working directly on the electrical panel, then hire an electrician (a lot cheaper than a hospital visit).
In my home, the wires are 12 gauge, thus if needed a room can safely use a 20 amp breaker rather than a 15 amp one.

Problem: Nobody that revealed this trick on non-RTX cards mention that the GPU core and memory clock are kept at high frequencies if you enable RTX voice. Sure, no problem, you can turn it off while not using it, but you have to notice the issue to do this. My GTX 1080Ti was running at almost highest frequencies even though it was used like 2-3% while in Windows.
