sir, i get it. you have a business. a YT business and likes, subscribe ect are needed for the analytics part and revenue.
bustamone talks WAY too much. IF you want, or care; read what i put below.
i do not blame you. i blame the agency for letting this-probably militant in and now "all is for sale" on YT, podcasts maybe a book and tshirts i would not like my 15yoa child wear of "everyday spy".
OK former USAFA graduate, agency leaves (does not retire) and now all if for sale and to talk about for years to come.
i do not want to make this personal but the mere fact he does NOT even hide his wife and not talk, talk and talk about her being also with the agency shows 110% how much: this is either an OP from the agency and they want them to talk like this (that is doubtful, though feasible) OR
they are militants and this is giving "the finger" to our nation society after about 10yrs of training, per deim, money, travel the world ect.
SORRY-someone like this who lacks principles, values and integirty--i utterly care less one bit how articulate or sales he does.
do not get me vote or "like" or childish thumbs up, BS.

He may or notbe, its irrelevant. The real question is why there are several who suddenly have become very chatty the past 2 years. And why is the government suddenly trying to confirm a lot of conspiracy theories from 9/11 to the alien nonsense. I have figured out some of the other shenanigans, but this one is actually interesting .
He really isn't revealing anything extraordinary here, ) though he does have a great way of explaining things, this guy was an educator at some point) but he is talking about immersion therapy and compartmentalization. I mean, it's still good advice.
With these kind of jobs, and I mean this in a recruiter, not predatory sense, they come find you.

It’s obnoxious and I’ve heard at least a half dozen guys on other pods refer to him and specifically mention his hair so they know they’re talking about the same guy. He’s hustling something, he sells spy craft / survival classes and I used to watch the behavior panel which has two other former cia guys who did SERE and were interrogation guys and they sell really high end corporate training courses and and ceo interview tactics. My gut just tells me there’s something off and i can’t put my finger on it.

I used to love the Case Officers who would meet with volunteers at my Embassy and wear silly wigs and then leave their embassy id badge out showing their real name and photo. The best way to describe most case officers is a very polished used car salesman is the demeanor of many of these officers. Quick on their feet, fast talkers, and have an answer to every question. And what I learned years ago in Guatemala is that they are very willing and able to lie all the time, regardless of audience - including telling lies with great skill to the U..S. Ambassador in country.

My understanding is then the stress inoculation training does exactly the opposite to fear and anxiety. It completely eliminates the emotional reaction (anxiety, fear, or stress) in a person, which can cloud a person's thoughts and can endanger them and so this stress inoculation training is suppressing the emotional triggered pathway by over exposure to dangerous scenarios. This exact same approach is used by psychologist for patients who have extreme fear (phobia) to things, events, scenarios, ideas or people. They have their patients confront said extreme fear repeatedly by small increments and slowly with the over exposure the patient eventually will become unafraid and unaffected, thus eliminating their phobia. Therefore, when Bustamante said they are trained by incremental exposure until the agent is completely unaffected to a fear or stress causing situation (although he said "controls"), basically the training is eradicating, numbing, blocking, or suppressing said triggered emotional reaction pathway in the brain (stress, fear, anxiety). Not only that, the stress inoculation training is also simultaneously re-learning to respond only with sharpen use of critical thinking (L hemisphere) to dangerous situations. The plasticity of the brain has that incredible ability to learn and unlearn new behaviors for survival. But what I found most interesting is how he said they PREFER a heighten over-anxious individual just so they can go through their training program to eliminate it! lol. All to re-learn or adopt an entire new response, fast critical thinking in tight situations. This unfaced by fear, quick thinking, zero emotion= survival and assignment completed. Wow, they really remold the individual completely to an impressive level!

Carl Jung said, "We meet ourselves time and again in a thousand disguises on the path of life". Some say that this quote means that the people we meet are just our reflections. Others say that we are so used to disguising ourselves to others that we eventually disguise ourselves to ourselves.
"... we are so full of apprehensions, fears, that we don't know exactly to what it points... a great change of our psychoglocal attitude is imminent, that is certain...because we need more
understanding of human nature because ...the only real danger that exists is man himself... and we know nothing of man - his
psyche should be studied because we are the origin of all coming evil..."

It is extremely well documented, even admitted, that the CIA helped overthrow the only democratic government ever in Iran in order to install a dictator, the Shah, who then inspired the rise of the current Iranian government that American politicians despise so much. It's faulty wiring and chemical reactions. Everything else was cool. I almost expected an "excuse me" the fro came off and a blonde crew was there, the facial hair gone, the watch am Omega, a different accent, and sportting sporting a vested three piece...just for show,,,he's a pro

your comment is not only 100% correct is is 110% valid and correct. kudos to you.
notice how different your comment is from the children that write here: "wow-andy tell me more information next week will you?". comical how much this guy talks. i was a DoS contractor for years. multiple embassy's.
never either former, retired or active did i hear one of "their" guys flap their lips and talk as much as bustamonte.
you would think there is a 2018 chevy truck he is selling how much he talks and talks.. though notice NONE of it is in our nations best interest. none of it is.
it is either he is till with the agency and they want a release point with this information (doubtful) or he did his time with the agency and USAF and USAFA and now it is time to "give the finger" to all those non-employee's of color he did not like and this is his way to do.
and to put $ in his pocket by never shutting up and tshirts, likes and coffee mugs and who knows "a tell all" book for more $.
you hit the nail on it's head with your comment: a former IO that sells his persona (and information) as a product for sale and a "a" brand.
how many agency persons took their action, lessons, school and careers 99% of it to the grave with them. maybe wife, family member or other retired agency persons in the back of a bar or private in their home.
NOT bustamonte: the world must KNOW the agency's workings, vetting, tactics, ect..and of course he is in NO way revealing anything sensitive or that can compromise the agency.

This smacks of BS, IMHO. I don't think he was CIA at all. Too many red flags. Ex: he says they don't call them "disguises," but a minute later goes on about what they call "3 levels of disguise." Another ex: When he talked about right and left brain, he got right and left reversed. A highly trained field agent who knows how fear really works, but doesn't know right from left under the pressure of a podcast interview? He's just a guy with a big story.
