This video is meant to be a reminiscence of Pilentum’s home town Frankfurt am Main, Germany. We see a diorama, scale model or replica of the metro station “Hauptwache”, which is located in the center of Frankfurt am Main in reality. There are four platforms and four train tracks, the two outer tracks are used by the subway - also known as underground, heavy rail, metro, metropolitan or U-Bahn, while the inner tracks are used by the rapid transit - also known as urban-suburban rail or S-Bahn. The layout was built in 1/87 scale, i.e. H0 gauge or HO scale, by the German model railway club called “Modellbahnfreunde Riederwald”. The rolling stock of the Frankfurt public transport in miniature was made in a limited special edition.

OMG, I LOVE IT!! We need more subway models in this world....we simply do not have enough!!
I am building one of the Sydney city circle. It will be public exhibitions. Big job ahead.
@@greghayes9118 Sounds awesome!
How far along are you? @@greghayes9118
This really is great detail and very realistic: sounds, lighting, people - everything is here. Simply amazing. Thanks for sharing.
nice vlog friend
Absolutly nails the flair of this underground station! Thanks for showing it in such a marvellous way!
Jesus Christ this is great. Reminds me of the Frankfurt of my childhood. Even the livery is from those days. I love that you even got the catenary in the tunnel. Sehr toll!!!
Great model inspired from the U Bahn Hauptwache station in Frankfurt. It is as clean as the original one. Clearly it couldn't be the Parisian metro because there was no rubbish anywhere :-)
WOW! Very well done. Great video with a lot of detail. The trains were fun to see and hear. Outstanding camera placement for viewing the angles of track and trains.
For those who ask for more "transit" model trains: the mass transit usually is custom-made for each city, so for model train makers is hard to choose what will be suitable to make, in order to ensure their return of investment in research, development, tooling and production, so it is unlikely you will see the model of your local subway or LRV from a major manufacturer (if your specific subway exists in any scale, you are very lucky). A notable exception are models of Japan, where several urban trains are made in N scale.
Hey thanks for the explanation!
Cheers!
Excellent, absolutely excellent. Bravo
This is your best railway model yet. Very well detailed. Keep it up.
Wow incredible !!!💪💪👍
I hope the modeler adds head lights to the trains for realism. One day someone will figure out how to get the doors to open.
Eliot Francis. Two great observations. Working headlights might be easier to do than operational doors.
Very nice detail to add to a layout.
Details are insane . Great work
Love it.
Spent much time there when I lived in Frankfurt. I can't remember trams and U-Bahn using the same part of the station as the S-Bahn but it looks fantastic.
very impressive.........cheer's Tony
Very fun!
nice , good job !!
Great sound effects!
Mil gracias!!
looks like something Luke Towan built
Yes very like his amazing model
Super PILENTUM!!! MERSI!!!👍👍👍👍🌹
Buen video
Preciosa maqueta de Trenes de metro
Saludos PILENTUM
So real
super realisation
Fantastic!
Amazing! So realistic!!
So lovely !
Very Cool!
Cool metro now I want model trains but I can't get them so railfaning is always another option... still Good video 😀👌
Great detail. Looks like a Pantograph failed
Muy bueno saludos de argentina! 🇦🇷👍
't lijkt NS wel, daar krijg je ook zo weinig tijd om in en uit te stappen
The platforms had alot of detail...
Impressionnant ce réalisme. Bravo
People: try to enjoy the compilation!
Love the escalator how did you do that
Good
This is high speed train
I thought underground model trains wouldnt really work that well.
Muito legal
It would be nice to see the complete layout, not just close ups
Fluterra It’s a diorama, not a complete lay-out! So, not much more to see, I guess...
I am a little disappointed that the benches and one of the walkways are just printed on. That would have been a nice easy to create effect to build them.
Hello sir please make Indian train diroma please please please please
the underground
nobody catches the train!
Sorry but... no. An amazing idea ruined by such rough train movement. In digital era is not acceptable. My opinion obviously...
Mauro Dani I totally agree with you. It’s a fantastic diorama, very realistic, and that’s why I got even more disturbed by the sudden stops and go’s of the trains and trams, and the lack of lighting both in the trains and on the trains. It’s UNDERGROUND, guys!! I didn’t even notice passengers in the cars, maybe there are. I will take another look. So, still some work to do, guys of Modellbahnfreunde Riederwald. But besides that, nothing more than praise: great job! 👍👍👍
Larry XK I think it’s completely automated, and that’s almost impossible without decoders. They still got to do some finetuning of the decoders, I think...
After a second look: no, no passengers in the cars of the S-Bahn (although difficult to see). An inconsistency: trains and trams/metro’s seem to ride on the same track (on the background tracks). IRL that’s not very likely.
@Larry XX I thought the trains/trams slowed down before abruptly stopping, but it’s the sound suggesting that. So you might be right, no decoders...
@@MrBlueLooks there are some tricks to obtain acceleration and decelerations without decoders, modifying track power accordingly with a PWM generator (same principles of decoders, but applied directly to tracks). But results could be much better than this anyway!
Early lol
