Hi everyone. I hope you enjoy this review. Here are the links with some more info: NEXG 2 on official website: www.enya-music.com/pages/nexg2-features NEXG 2 on Amazon US: www.amazon.com/dp/B0CBDWT3DS?ref=myi_title_dp
looks like a fun practice guitar, if you have 800 to spare, But i'm taking my Cordoba for a gigs . the cordoba fusion is my perfect guitar. i love your playing,Walter!
Not fair, you make everything sound great. Those chords and progression are amazing, as well as technique. I would love for you to put a long video together with many songs. I love your arrangements.
Can we just have you do a livestream one man concert Walter? Your playing is so natural, truly gifted from God, and a joy to see you sharing your talent with us!
You just sold a million of those things for that company, they though of everything INCLUDING the right person to demo and explain the features!! Great job Walter!
I rescued one of these at a pawn shop today and walk out with it for only $120. Cleaned it up and restrung it (high E was broken). Very cool guitar. Glad I found it and will be using it as practice gear while at work.
The idea of an all-in-one solution seems great, but I've seen many bad reviews related to the durability of the components such as the guitar not turning on after a couple months of use. I guess I'll wait until these issues are solved or until a more experienced brand decides to make something similar.
I love this demo thank you. I agree about the placement of the touch screen. My neck hurts after 30 mins playing with it. I noticed the official Enya videos seem to demo tiping the guitar forward to get at the screen, but it seems more obvious to look over the top bar.
Walter! You've just sold me that guitar))) Thought a lot, could not make decision to buy or not. Then I've seen this vid and immediately ordered it))) Great review, great musician and great mood
You're a really skilled and versatile musician. You know not only about guitar but also arranging, production, layering, looping and so many other things that I might not even be aware of. Great review also btw. Thanks a lot.
You know things. The One better Man from RUclips. Interesting Thing here, your reviews are always interesting.Sounds amazing in my Studio speakers , wow !!
Humbling to watch the ease of play. I'd pay for online lessons with this guitar - perhaps just a 10-pack of get-to-know-and-use lessons for newbies? Any chance you'd put together such an offering Walter?
Fantastic review… these things are very interesting indeed and you make it sound great with your playing. You showed all the features clearly. I don’t think the guitar looks pretty at all, but I would still love one - except I’m left handed and as far as I can tell they don’t make one 😢
Thanks for the video. I am a guitarist and often play in smali pub as one man band style. The guitar looks very interesting. I saw that there is also a nylon string model available. I wanted to ask which one gives "one point" more in sound quality. Tks for your answer
Another suggestion that I would add is to make it sound more like an electric guitar on certain settings so that you can get more of a rock sound if necessary
Good afternoon from Panama. I’m not sure if you were allowed to or not, but you didn’t mention the price. Personally, I use the Roland Gr-55 guitar synth, which also comes with a looper, but its not portable. Currently I’m doing street and club gigs, and that’s what got my attention about this product. I would basically use the Jazz guitar sound and some fxs. I love the Bluetooth connectivity, though. Thanks for the share.
Nice review. Quick question: can this be used as an electric guitar, ie with 9-42 elctric strings? If so, can it produce an acoustic sound (using some internal simulation) if needed.
If Walter Rodriguez takes this guitar seriously then it must be good. I've been wondering about the Hyvibe system and how it might affect the tonal qualities of a guitar that has not been designed specifically for internal hardware. (Does the Hyvibe equipment muffle the sound?). This guitar has been designed from the ground up.
hi Walter, we hav eto pay attention! Every guitar you play sounds amazing. ;-) Thanks for your review You mentioned the microphone problem with the loop. I think that is really an big problem that you cant decide between recording the mic with the loop or not. Did you also you the external input and test it with another mic. Does it have the same behaviour? Thanks in advance, Juergen
Thanks for watching! Yes, I did test an external mic. It works great but as far as the loop is concerned, the same thing happens, it will be linked to the looper.
Pleease make a tutorial for how to use this looper! I can't get it to loop properly without there being weird time signatures :( also even if I turn off that drum machine it turns back on during looping? No idea how to fix.
I would love for you to sing "girl from Ipanema" . If my memory serves correctly, your native tongue is Portuguese. I would really like it with you singing and playing ala Joao Gilberto.
I would buy if you couldEASILY program your own sounds. I play gigs with a guitar drum set vocals ,fishman triple play, and apollo. It’s very important for me to be able to create my own unique sounds. So I don’t have use for sound banks, or pre recorded loops, but I can definitely see who this will appeal to. Another thing that would be very enticing would be intricate looping like Ableton, but even easier and seamless. Edit. The looper is basically just a jam man, not innovative at all. Not being able to separate the Mic is definitely a big deal if you’re in the looping. I had a voice live three, which looked great on the surface, but that had a bunch of things wrong with it, including the latency issue
If i use Enya Nexg 2 (steel strings) for cloning the acoustic profile of a nylon string guitar, will it sound like a nylon string guitar? or If i use Enya Nexg 2 N (nylon strings) for cloning the acoustic profile of a steel string guitar, will it sound like a steel string guitar?
How many bars will the looper record? Also can you let me know if you can loop without the click tempo or drums in Freeform mode where the trails of the reverb or delay don’t get cut off?
You sure make it sound good... but doesn't it slide off your leg? Should have had the proper slope built into the shape. I'm also pretty certain the upper structure with it's rather hard edges would bother my arm after awhile. Why not a headset mic? And then the things you mentioned. Do the positives outweigh the negatives? Perhaps if the price is right. Myself, I need a looper pedal with more channels and a guitar made of wood. But that's just me.
Thanks for watching! It has a “rubbery” edge at the bottom to avoid it from slide off your leg. The upper frame is actually easy on the arm because of a slightly round edges. There’s an available headset mic which I showed at 5:10. It’s a unique guitar which like I mentioned isn’t meant to replace a standard guitar but it’s a great instrument, really fun to play.
@@walterfingerstyle thanks for the clarifications. Well listening to it, it did not sound like a toy. With so many cheap MIDI guitar like instruments in circulation, it's easy to put it in that category. Doesn't seem like it is cheaply made and I bet it would be a blast at a coffee shop gig.
String change is very simple. There’s a rubber strip that covers the string holes by the bridge which kind of works as pins on a standard acoustic guitar.
@walterfingerstyle well, I don't believe the ones on Amazon do, because it's not mentioned, and it's only $399. But Thank You, it's very helpful to know this.
Cool, however, the next generation of this will incorporate AI and will auto solo itself so you wont even need to play the solo...it will essentially replace you, the musician

Regardless of any equipment he may use, this is one of the world’s great guitarists.

Awesome review and great suggestions. I enjoyed every second of it. Hats off to you, Walter!
Thank you!
Nice to see technology for the guitar moving forward, just like it was done for the keyboard 40 years ago. _Obrigado boas noticias_ .

about 5 hour sir
That's a neat rig BUT as long as it's YOU playing, it can be anything on anything. BLESSINGS 2 U!

Super

Nice intro song!
Can you record your vocals in the looper using the microphone that comes with guitar
At 19:08 I talk about that 👍🏻

If i use Enya Nexg 2 N (nylon strings) for cloning the acoustic profile of a steel string guitar, will it sound like a steel string guitar?
I'm curious. One year after the review, any issues?
Hi Walter I subs. to your channel👍👍👍👍
How many bars will the looper record? Also can you let me know if you can loop without the click tempo or drums in Freeform mode where the trails of the reverb or delay don’t get cut off?
Is it possible to have sounds suchbas harp or piano etc?
Are there no blues overdrive nor distortion sounds?
Walter, what gage strings are on it? Is it a wide neck like a classical?
I’m not sure but I think it came with 12-53. The nut width is 1-11/16, average on most acoustic guitars, very comfortable.
my french ears have understood everything :)
Cmon bro, do the pap parara papapaaaaa with this guitar.
How to change the string

Phil Keaggy would this ❗️
I bought one of Walters t-shirts, similar to the one he's wearing and I get stopped all the time by other acoustic guitar players.
Ha! That’s awesome 😎
No speakers in my enya nexg2
Will the looper on the nexg 2 work if you don't have the pedal?
Yes, you can operate it manually on the control panel. It comes with the pedal though.

@@GETPICKER the one I reviewed is the 2nd generation, you’re probably looking at the 1st gen.
The 1st gen does not have a looper
NEXG 2 has a built-in loop function, it can work without a pedal. Kindly remind, NEXG 1 doesn't have this function.

No distortion , no fun 😪

Why you play all the songs is over the hills , not jazz , come on sir
So boring sir
