    Just cleaned-up mine ready for summer (and after 2 years a clean was needed 😬) . It was really easy to clean off all the dust with a microfibre cloth, even the fins. It's great fan - really well designed.

    Excellently presented. The presenter is clear and helpful. Good face for a company that makes the best fans on the planet. I bought a pedestal fan last year at the beginning of the heatwave. I need air to help breathe in my bedroom. Really wonderful and efficient silent fan and so sturdy. I am due to try cleaning it today.

    Excellent easy to follow and well explained video! I have a 1056, a 1056P and a 260c fan in addition to a 12ltr ABC de-humidifier. I also have a Dyson AM09 fan, the 1056 outperforms the AM09 by some margin, at a fraction of the cost! Having watched the video, cleaning my 1056 completed in under 10 minutes. Thank you!

    I really liked my Meaco fan but sadly believed the hype about that other (bladeless) brand. Spent hundreds of pounds on the latter and guess what? I prefer my Meaco. If it ever breaks, I'll happily buy Meaco again.

    For a future revision, I'd love a panel lock-out feature on the remote (or a hard toggle switch on the body in case of remote failure/loss?).
    These things are fantastic (pun intended), but my cat loves walking on the panel and whacking it up to full blast.
    Wall-mounting options would also be great (a formed bracket could probably accommodate existing models).

    Ta you're a saint! I hate cleaning fans and I thought this one would be vey difficult. BTW I live in Malta and i had to use some water like a damp cloth...the amount of dust here is unimagineable. Good thing it's also warm already and the fan blades and cover dried in two minutes.

    Great fan. However, above video saying opening and cleaning is a quick, simple task is far from reality. It is an appalling fiddly, time-consuming tricky process. If electric had been discovered in the 18th century I am sure they could have made a fan far easier to open/clean then close again than the Meaco !

    How can we lubricate the fan? Can we do anything to reduce whirring and additional noise that comes from the fans after many hours of use? Was definitely quieter when it was brand new. (UPDATE) I used some r
    Regin zoom spout fan oil on mine, which has really helped bring it back to it's usual quite self.

    Hmm. I’m looking at this video and wondering why they couldn’t have came up with a tool-less way to clean this fan. Still cool that the company shows you how to do it, most don’t.

    • @MeacoUK
      @MeacoUK  3 года назад +5

      You have to make it something that is done with tools because it is a mains device and it is part of the safety standard rules.

    • @Tonicwine999
      @Tonicwine999 3 года назад +1

      @@MeacoUK can’t believe how quickly I received a reply. Thanks for explaining that, if it’s part of safety standard rules then that’s understandable. Thanks for that quick response.

    i've just cleaned my fan and put it back together and suddenly its making a noise. The noise seems to be a result of the front grate (full confession - I dropped the grate when disassembling the fan). If I run the fan without the grate (not particularly safe) there is no noise. Is there a fix?

    • @MeacoUK
      @MeacoUK  2 месяца назад

      Please can you check the locking cap is tightly secured, as well as the screws on the front grate? Let us know if that doesn't stop the noise and we'll help you further.

  • @DavidSilverman0

    The inside of my fan has quite a lot of grease and sticky dirt - not sure if this is from manufacturing or picked up from the environment - that won't clean off with a dry cloth. Is there a safe but effective alternative e.g. rubbing alcohol or something?

    • @MeacoUK

      It will be from the environment, carefully clean it with a wet wipe and dry it before use.
