That is not what James Gunn said though, Chris Pratt is wrong although I wish he was right.
@MF Doom: It's a comics universe, but in the MCU given the creative freedom James Gunn was given, like you said his version would be the most accurate for the MCU. But there are definitely other versions of Groot in the actual comics that could be more closely aligned with the version Pratt perceives.
I think the most common version I've seen re-iterated in comics is relatable to 'The Doctor' from the Who series, while technically they regenerate, they are in fact a different personality and being, while retaining aspects of what made them what they were up until that point. (Technically on a microcosmic level we as humans are no different every day we wake up and are shaped by our past experiences really.)

This interviewer is probably my favorite for the mcu because he is a legit fan who asks questions we actually wanna hear!

I love how josh brolin said “why can’t I kill some of the avengers? It’s fun” that’s exactly something thanos would say. Like he doesn’t care who they are. He doesn’t know anything about them. I am starting to see how great it is that they cast someone who is apathetic to comic books to be the main villain

I don't know if it's just me but seeing Josh Brolin, I expect him to be closed and short with people or not very enthusiastic but I can say after seeing this, he is the complete opposite. Such a great guy and so nice and easy to talk to!

mkeonine They know that it is a joke. It's like the actors of falcon and Spiderman skit. They never stop the joke, pretending to despise each other. The Marvel/Disney studios Love's it. It creates an interesting drama which makes people focused on the actors and Movies. If Disney didn't like it the actors will never do it again. Studios control how you and your image promote their movie. The only thing that they cannot control is if you promote a movie on your own social media. But the studios can sue and end your career if you tarnish the movie in anyway.

L P G They actually really feel like the characters unspoken thing in the movies. They have some of the best chemistry between the two co-stars I’ve ever seen.(Yes I know Zoe’s married). I seriously think Chris might be in love with her. Zoe too but she won’t let herself believe it because she’s married. Idk. Maybe I’m going too far but it is crazy how good of chemistry they have.

Fun fact though not really but Chris Pratt were in the same class in middle school and went to the same high school as my sixth grade homeroom teacher and we got to see his signature in her yearbook. Our tiny sixth grade minds were blown that day
He was probably in 6th grade for the 91-92 school year...given the fact he was born in the summer of '79.

Props to the interviewer. He's actually asking really good questions and seems like a true fan.
I know I'm a year late but then again I'm 11 years late and just watched all 22 movies in a week with Endgame last week so I just found all the old interviews to the older movies and I have to say this guy is such a great interviewer. I love how he goes into the technical side of shooting a movie and doesn't even try to get any spoilers from the cast but just asks question that I haven't heard any interviewer ask before it's so refreshing!

TinaTranSings i asked some old homeless drunk cause i had just watched this interview and wanted to know but he was the only one on the street as i was walking home. He said that any mention of the word arduous was punishable by rape (anally) of the defendant by the victim. I allowed myself to be raped because at the time it seemed like no one could possibly just make something like that up. Will you please tell me if that's true?

Kevin smashes every interview he ever does. Intelligent and meaningful questions never any lame "what superhero power would you have" type of stuff and that's why the celebs love meeting him, you can hear the enthusiasm in their voices. Great Job Kevin... keep doing you!

Brolin is fucking hilarious!
One thing that stands out to me is how so many people dog on superhero movies like they’re dumb or for kids, but just look at josh brolins reactions. He LOVES playing this kind of character, I think just about all of the actors in Marvel films love their jobs and are fans, as well. More people ought to challenge their preconceptions and enjoy these works of art.

Interviewing with Josh Brolin is always intense, you can simply say from the difference in tone from the interviewer with the other actors, I can only imagine Chris Pratt shitting himself when he is acting with him.
My fave's are the Guardians of the Galaxy boes and Thor. Also, LOVE Zoe Saldana.
