I have to admit, tho, Bob Jenkins & Bill Adam was the perfect announcing team for this race. Talk about an epic duo in the booth that you don't see all that often, if at all.

Randall Dubin Totally agree!! I have to say even though I hate too. The team that announces for IMSA today are awful.
I don’t know what it is about them. Maybe it’s just the one guy from Radio Lemans. He constantly makes mistakes and and the other guy has to correct him. Way over excitable and over dramatic. I miss the old days I guess.

Keep wathing these US and Can races 'cos they are so well broadcasted. Talk about entertainment for long distance! And I'm F1 and Le Mans fan.

1958 was closer to 1986 than 1986 is to today...to put the opening in perspective

      They destroyed Americas greatest racetrack!
Why do so many Americans do not care about such historic places?!
      This was holy ground!
What kind of politician does this to such a place?
Why didn’t the Americans protest against it?
It’s such a huge shame that this happened and nobody interfered!
This track is even better as Laguna Seca!
I’m really sad I will never experience it in person..
At least there is a very good version for Assetto Corsa!
Unfortunately iRacing doesn’t do historic track, otherwise this would be the best track for the Kamel GT (yes the iRacing people write it with a K like the Germans. I guess for copyright reasons).
I’m still extremely disappointed that the people of California let this happen..
Moronic people with no sense for the historic importance of such legendary places.
It’s the same like tearing down the Statue of Liberty!

whoa calm down there sparky, the track is good to look at and fun to race in the simulators, but man its a very dangerous track with all of that sand and dirt being kicked up if someone goes off-line. i dont think Nascar would of stayed at that track after 1988 and Indycar basically left after 1983. IMSA would of been the only once since SCCA didnt race there in the 80s. also IMSA prolly would of left after the Group C was taken down, i dont think they would of wanted the WSC cars there.@@rolux4853

Didn't Jenner have a class win at Daytona or Sebring, him and Pruett? Man ive gotta stop saying 'he', dont wanna be disrespectful. Im not knocking him for becoming her, hell whatever floats her boat and i respect Jenner for having the confidence to do it, but i reckon it would be a lot of fun to be with Kims mum (sorry i can't remember her name). I bet shes a handful, if i was older anyway.
Hope everyone is all well and good and staying safe.
Edit - Kris Jenner. Not "Kim's mum". Lol.

@@MrMiD.Life.Crisis 1986 was the pinnacle of Jenner's racing career. Earned two GTO class victories (Sebring and Portland) with Scott Pruett and led the class point standings for a good chunk of the season.
