There's no denying you picked up some right old bargains there Rob. I got another copy of Quadrophenia on CD just before Christmas,to keep in the car and it's been on constant play ever since !!! I also picked up a couple of ska albums that were being promoted by bands on Facebook. It has to be something that really catches my eye/grabs my attention on CD for me to buy it nowadays. Having said that,I'm finding that some bands I really enjoy, made the jump from vinyl to CD and if you want a complete album discography by them, you've gotta buy the CD's.
I'm impressed that you found so many good albums in one location and for such a good price. I live in the western US and the cheapest I see CDs are $1 - some of the thrift shops have started raising them to $1.50 or $2... ugh. But it's really rare around here to find good titles like that, especially that many. I need to move to the UK
Just come across your video mate . What a great haul at such cheap prices, it's great to discover some new music.Blade runner great film also my favourite film and sound track , so I'm guessing we're a similar age and attitude. Great video keep it up .
Hi, cd prices can’t be ignored at the moment, I have a large record collection but in 2025 maybe I’ll be buying more CDs especially at these prices. Thanks for watching and commenting it’s really appreciated 👍
Blade Runner was 84, Rob, but the album wasn't released until 94. My fav soundtrack. I've got a fair few of those CDs from back in the day and they were a tad more expensive! That was an amazing haul, especially for the money. Charity shops near me never have anything worth buying. Nice one Rob
Great haul! Awesome price (can't even argue if you love music in the physical format) and very cool selection of music. I am in the same boat and buy CDs again because a lot of the records I am after are just too expensive on vinyl.
Hi Rob that is a great selection of CDs you picked up. You are lucky with that charity shop. A few around me are pricing theirs to what they see on eBay and also discogs. Looking for storage is on my list of things this year as well but that's not cheap.

Those are crazy deals. Captain Beefheart not for free for me. I tried them a few times but I just couldn’t get it. Tattoo You is a good one. I only have a copy of Pet Sounds from way back. Ironically at that time I would’ve paid substantially more than your copy. Seeing that Blade Runner soundtrack makes me want to get more soundtracks. I’m a big Style Council fan. I saw The Verve on that tour at a club in Toronto. Psycho Candy is a cool album. Awesome Rob! ✌️

Sweetheart Of The Rodeo opened up a whole new world to me. I knew The Christian Life from the Move's BBC Sessions. It is also bookended by two Bob Dylan covers. Sweetheart of the Rodeo doesn't sound country enough for me to give it a full, fair listen. I'm prejudiced. I hear city slickers from the West Coast who found a bag of weed and decided to pretend to be cowboys. The whole situation just sounds like a bad vinyl tag prompt. I will buy the album if: 1.) Hi Darren , watched your recently video you picked up some decent records for £1 each … thanks for watching. And congratulations on your award 👍🎉😀
Bargains!! Rob at Northern Revolutions might be all over that Sugarman/Rodriguez cd 🤔 Buzzcocks?! Gorillaz?! Doves!? Eels?! Verve?! Arrrgh! I live in the wrong country!! 🤪 Cheers-R
Hi Richard , these.CDs were to good to refuse at these prices you’ve got to grab them , and I’ve also made a couple of discoveries .. thanks for watching 👍
Hi Rob - Check out the documentary Searching For Sugar Man. Rodriguez was quite an interesting person. Very humble. Good early 70's music. Love Somethings Gone Wrong Again to close that Buzzcocks cd. I missed the bus a few times ..
Bury? Where, where? Not just the price but the titles. Not the usual Take That and Xfactor fodder
A realey good collection you got there for a fiver.?When you said you got 30 for £5 i though they would be the useal crap like Robie Williams and chart stuff like that. But not like the ones you got 2 Beefheart ones ,John martin and the Buzzcocks and Gang of Four ,Big Starr, and the Stones. Byrds i would have paid a pound each of thouse.I wich i had a cjarity shop like that here where i am..
@timcollins9800 hi Tim , my local charity shop ( mill) has a media area CDs are £1 but they now have another area in a different building where CDs are crazily priced.. I was also in the ymca yesterday and they were selling 4 CDs for £1 .. yes you see the usual suspects but I found a few gems in the rough .. thanks for watching and commenting it’s really appreciated 👍
@@robwalkerletthemusicplay Thanks for your reply Rob .There is one charity shop that sells them 10 for a pound. You can imagine the stuff there the usual boy band and MOR stuff. And another one that sells all media 4 for a pound even box sets of DVD and Blu ray,s and games not many that I would get a good price from CEX.Even box sets of DVDs CEX would only give you 1p?I have got a handful of them that they would give £2.50 for
Now you're talking! Now is the time to buy CDs!! Buy low!
Hi grant £5 for 30 albums is what dreams are made of 😀…. Thanks for watching and commenting.. have a great 2025 👍🎉
You got ripped off with that Sweetheart of the rodeo CD 😁
@@TELE6220 ha.. I have to agree with you 😀
Sweetheart of the Rodeo doesn't sound country enough for me to give it a full, fair listen. I'm prejudiced. I hear city slickers from the West Coast who found a bag of weed and decided to pretend to be cowboys. The whole situation just sounds like a bad vinyl tag prompt.
I will buy the album if: 1.) I see a clean used record at a steal of a price. 2.) I come across a CD copy for under $2. (I will not stream the album.)
Cheers,
Jacob
Got rid of most of mine to a charity shop. I only get those related to my favourite band. They won’t be coming back for me. I stream loads nowadays. Cheers fella
Hi Chris you’re not alone , I’m happy to have both formats .. thanks for watching 👍
