My mama passed away on the 30th of July and she had late stage Dementia. I will be playing this song at her Memorial because even though Dementia changed her she was still the lovely, talented, kind, woman and mother to me. Nothing could change how I saw her. I'm gonna miss you mama." Your Still You".
Thank you!!! My wife passed 14 years ago from cancer at a very young age. She was 45. She left behind me, her high school sweetheart, and 6 children that idolized her also. Wow!!! What an incredible woman. No matter what, even in death, she reached out to help others!!! That’s a life worth living!

Ohhhh and it has been 20 years! Nov 2001 when I first heard Josh Groban's music, and have been loving it more and more with the passing of time. A certified "grobanite"" through and through. Thank you for your music Josh!!!

I heard it first in the movie Malena and I feel in love with the music by Ennio Morreconi. I looked it up and saw Josh Groban singing it. I love it even more.
Today on my grandmas birthday this lyrics mean a little bit more to me than they usually do. Today she would have turned 93. 💖 I believe with every inch of my heart, that death does not change who we are, it just changes our angle of view. No matter if you are the one dying or the one left behind.
I love your music since I have listened it over 20 years ago in the radio, driving in a car through FL. It Was my first visit of US! Since then your music is my favourite as well in good times as well in bad times. YOUR voice is very special . I miss your concerts in Berlin and hope for it after Corona times!!! Good bless you, your family and fans.

He did a second episode too, equally wonderful! Same character, whose father was being fired by his congregation because he lost his faith after the death of his wife. Josh sings "To Where You Are." Tissue warning: I'm not a crier over tv shows and I boo-hooed so hard! lol!
And you, Josh, you're still You! Amazing and Delightful! The best of the best! And, true, like someone said here very well, we cannot imagine the life without your music!
Honest question from an atheist here. Assuming that youre talking about the Christian deity from how you phrase this, why is this? Did he not create all of us the way we are, knowing everything from before even the beginning? Is not everything part of this grand plan, mysterious ways and all that? These, among many others, are questions I've asked since young childhood (of my deeply religious family, friends, etc) and no one can seem to give me an answer that doesn't rely on some version of "don't think, just believe." Being on the spectrum, I literally can't do that. I _have_ to understand something in order to accept it.

He is honestly one of the best balladeers of the past decade. "I will remember you, and what life put you through." Gorgeous line.
@dha3505 The lyrics are by Linda Thompson. I think she wrote them for Elvis: that's what it sounds like for me. Have a great day!
Great word ´balladeers´ I never heard that before. Greetings from Germany!

Such a beautiful song.❤
The first magical song of so many of Josh Groban! Great way of ending a pleasant November afternoon in Portugal!

I found out about him through a friend from England on 2010, he plays and sings my heart... From that time on he's my only singer! ❤❤❤❤❤
Through the darkness
I can see your light
And you will always shine
And I can feel your heart in mine
Your face I've memorized
I've idolized just you
I look up to everything you are
In my eyes you do no wrong
I've loved you for so long
And after all is said and done
You're still you
After all, you're still you
You walk past me
I can feel your pain
Time changes everything
One truth always stays the same
You're still you
After all, you're still you
I look up to everything you are
In my eyes you do no wrong
And I believe in you
Although you never asked me to
I will remember you and what life put you through
And in this cruel land
The only world I've found without hope
You're still you
After all, you're still you
@atom8526 Linda Thompson wrote these beautiful lyrics and I think they were for Elvis.❤

I miss you mama and daddy. Tell the boys I love them so much.
Too beautiful for words. Such a deeply moving song.
Magical Josh! Listening at 3:00 am in New York!
To me, you will always be perfect. The scar will always remind me of the night, God saved your life.❤

A beautiful sound
You're Still You
Még mindig Te vagy
A sötétségen keresztül
Látom a fényedet
És mindig ragyogni fogsz
És érzem a szívedet az enyémben
Az arcodat megjegyeztem
Csak téged imádlak
Felnézek rád
A minden vagy
Az én szememben te nem vagy hibás
Olyan régóta szeretlek
És végül is kész kimondom
Még mindig te vagy
Végül
Még mindig te vagy
Elmész mellettem
Érzem a fájdalmadat

atheism carries preconceptions just like any other religious or ideological view... this is necessarily true... and you ask how and why things are the way they are... these are common questions amongst all people...
but where do we go to find such answers? ancient greeks went to reality itself and reconciled necessary truths with their own reasoning... this was refined over time until we as philosophers come to recognize that reasoning and intellect are powers particular to humans, and nothing else in the world comes close to such 'powers of the soul (or mind)'.
so simply ask... where did these types of characteristics come from? and what does it mean to 'perfect' or 'fulfill' their potential? from this stance, one can recognize that though we have the potential for higher thinking, we are often burdened by lesser carnal thinking... this is the reality in which we live and we witness it daily... many overburdened by the lower faculties of humanity rather than aspiring for the truly present ones, namely intellect and reason (wisdom)
this propensity and constant desire for lower things is the consequence (from christian perspective) of our fall from God. however, since we still retain these powers (potentially and actually) and by the redemption brought by Christ (through His divine sacrifice and ASCENSION) for ALL of humanity, we can continue to strive for participating in the divine nature of God...
