Wow... this message is MASSIVE confirmation... HUGE. It's pulling up for me so much I've been pondering while examining how we are being manipulated from so many angles. The fact that they feel we have to be manipulated says a lot about how much power we actually have and are sleeping on; and you have to think about the fact that social manipulation on this level is literally planned years in advance of when we ever see it play out before us says even more about what's at stake. And it's not just teens and younger children being pulled in. I don't know how many full grown/older Black women I've seen around these parts posting videos fanning the flames of disgust in behind the non-selection of a mixed race/nonblack woman who basically said to our Black faces, even before her foray into this campaign, that she had NOTHING for us solely, while going on unapologetic record in support of "others". She said that just as surely as Barack Obama reportedly did; yet all that energy still went into supporting her without holding her feet to the fire. Where was this energy when Cynthia McKinney, an actual Black woman, came through?? A few months ago, the video of a young adult woman of Nigerian origin came on my feed; she was sharing her story about impending transition and sexuality. She was fundraising for the "top surgery"; and I did everything I could to try to talk this seemingly vulnerable stranger out of this. Wrote my little story to her trying to explain this whole scam, attempting to get her to see that a huge portion of it was indeed based on misogynistic agendas; her dismissive response was to call me "weird" for not supporting the bullsh*t. SHE calls me 'weird' for listening to a story SHE posted about her own life for others to ponder. I mean what do you say when you have that kind of complicity and people being so far gone, that they make themselves a willing participant in the problem? One thing I will support is the absolute CRITICAL need for people to deeply examine their personal stories in order to really grasp what makes them vulnerable to these dangerous social trends... this is especially true for Black women because we, as the primary socializers of the Black world, have a massive target on our heads. Again, thank YOU for addressing this. I'm also looking forward to hearing your perspective in a similarly engineered uptick in ethnocentric/cultural 'wars' among Black peoples.
I appreciate you and this video! I had no idea about the sterilization movement. That is so,so sad and bewildering. I was on another social media platform and after the election results, the women were drawing each other into an anger cult if you will. If you did not stand in solidarity with them, they basically blocked you and all the things that go with that. You’re exactly right about detaching from social media and stepping back into our actual lives. Peace to you sister!
