Two people doing a “Full review” but one of them have not even run in the shoe. I understand you have to get the content out but at least you should run in the shoe.
Hey Jorge, this is Thomas's review of the shoe, Robbe was there for the specs and just background on the shoe. Which is exactly why he said he didn't run in the shoe. He did not get a pair for review, literally just found out before recording that his foot could fit into Meg's pair because the sizing was so bad, wasn't even sure he'd be able to run it because it was pretty tight in the toe box of course. We've done many reviews in the past where we've noted that one of us had not run in the shoe because we obviously all can't run in any shoe made in a single year. All our videos have two people in them so we can bounce off each other, if one person has not run in the shoe, we are up front about it. Not sure where the disconnect is here, but hope that clarification helps.
I hear you.. BUT... there were options given on stability while standing it. We all kn running in super shoes is different from that. If you'll looked at the outsole you would've noticed it was not wear. Love you all, your humor is the best. Really interested in the comparison of the midsoles with the LS version. Looks totally different with hole placements, rocker, etc. Kofuzi eluded a little bit at the end of his review. Thanks again!!??
Sorry guys, but this is a weak review of a nearly $300 race day shoe that one of you hasnt raced in and one of you hasnt run in. In a new world where we have a dozen or so plated race day shoes to pick from, you gave barely any insight into this one and it's intended purpose.
So as someone who owns a pair of these and used them for a 22km long run and a 5k charity race (new pb’s for both), everything they say is on point with the shoe. It is certainly one of the most challenging breaking-in’s that I’ve done though, but once you get used to it the shoe performs amazingly. Very squeaky foam and I didn’t like it as much for the speedy 5k, but in the longer run it almost felt that I got better later on in the run. I did experience toe friction with this shoe despite the great ventilation, but on the long run I used compression toe socks which worked really well with this shoe
The outsole portion you said was wearing out actually comes like that, it confuses a lot of people. But you can see a new pair for reference, the outsole durability is actually very good.
Tryed at the store . You have to go half size down. Great forefoot comfort and bounce back dorm the midsole ( nearly the same feel you get from alphafly 1) i will definitely buy and give it a try for a race
Hard to ignore how BITR has changed. Top trainers list on their website range from $165-225. 4/5 of them plated and the non-plated one is $200. Maybe says more about where the industry is going rather than the BITR team, but damn if it doesn’t make me just wanna throw on some pegs and block out all the noise
Agree this is the market . They liked adidas sl2 and novabalst 4 both excellent shoes for 130-140 but not enough market offerings in that price range to do so many regular reviews
Shoes have finally gotten soft enough for me. I have 6 pairs of 1080v13s for daily use and a couple race options. Everything else I don’t care to keep up on.
These are worth the 280.00. They are amazing race day shoes, training shoes, recovery pace and lifestyle shoes. The one con I have is that the laces are way too long. You can obviously fix that easily. They are incredibly stable also, the midsole is perfectly cushioned with enough bounce/rebound but no mush. It’s very plush…but not 1080v13 or invincible run mushy. It’s Vaporfly 3 soft but with more energy return. The rocker isn’t prominent, but it’s there and makes for a natural feeling run. I had 0 fatigue for 10k/half marathon runs. I also just casually wear them for running errands. 10/10
That unidirectional type of fabric material in the heel is referred to as a "Cat's Tongue" in cycling shoes, and I think it is appropriately called so. I wish more running shoes had those.
To many shoes to review? Look at a picture of a new CloudBoom Strike, the areas you say it`s worn down comes like that factory fresh. Robbie not even tried them? Hard to trust the channel when the tests are so "rushed" just to get it out on youtube.
Not sure what has been going on with you guys but your reviews have no structure and are all over the place. Sometimes you don’t have the specs straight if you have them at all. Reviewing the shoe after only a 20 mile run? You said Meg was supposed to do the review? Why couldn’t you just wait and let her review it? Instead you stick Robbe in it who hasn’t ran in it. Thomas needs to stop cutting the other reviewer off when they’re speaking. It’s so rude. Take a pause and breathe. Get it together guys. Better to be accurate than first. This years shoes are coming out spaced enough apart that you have time.
your foot would then likely be too close to that hard carbon plate. normal insoles are usually cheap throwaway materials not like this shoe which has actual race foam built into the insole. don’t see this as a good experience.
I had the Cloud Stratus 3 with 340km before I donated them. I overpronate and that shoes were not the best, but still lasted a very long time. The outsole in the heel at the inside was very tim and was making me overpronate a bit more. The person that got them loved the shoes since he has a perfect neutral stride. My Cloud Eclipse is still working well with ~ 300 km so far. The X shape speedboard thing is keeping my overpronation in check, and the rubber is lasting longer.
I only have the On Cloud Eclipse.. good shoe., I’m a bigger runner, and I got them on sale.., and yes, I got a half size down from my normal size, from most brands. I have a good amount of miles in them. All that being said.. these are going to be a no from me.

really, so the thickness of the applied rubber sole is not uniform ?
but why not make it thicker in high wear areas ?
@@j.k.cascade2057 its just the tread pattern that has areas of transition from smooth to textured, the thickness is uniform.
Thanks for the extra comments on the fit ❤

when they make a shoe without holes in the mid sole - then Ill buy it.
those hollow spring cells are purely a gimmick, like Asics with the Gell.

I have 2 pairs of ON shoes. Great casual shoe but much better options for running.

Only had boom Echo 3s which I like a lot. Would give these a try if there's a big sale
I’m a half size up :/
Would like a heel strike variant like the Vaporfly, Cielo X1 or Metaspeed Edge.
Does ON sell replacement insoles to refresh the shoe feel after a hundred miles or so?
Could one replace the insole with a normal insole and run with less stack ?
your foot would then likely be too close to that hard carbon plate. normal insoles are usually cheap throwaway materials not like this shoe which has actual race foam built into the insole. don’t see this as a good experience.
On is the new finance bro casual Friday shoe.
And olympic podium shoe for triathletes
@@apocalypsedreaming1268could be the amount they pay rather than the quality of their shoes 🤔
ja funny, but do you know why they couldnt get a patent for the holes?
Adidas owns the rights. The first “bounce” shoes had this feature. Hard as rocks tho. 😝
On started by selling super unique shoes and have slowly transitioned to mainstream normal runners
Robbie rocking the Sydney 2000 Olympic tshirt
What's up with all the hate in the comments? On makes some good running shoes(and some bad ones like everyone else). This one looks very promising:)
The price is absolutely crazy...
Hi
Could you recommend a light weight running shoes (below 10oz, men size 9) for standing and walking long hours?
Thank you.
.
Why under 10 oz. Why not just go for comfort?
Any recommendations?
I'm considering ASICS and Adidas.
@@revivalist70 adidas Ultraboost 5
$280 and no sprayed upper? Geeeeeezeee
On targeting the city run club guys who just want the new shoe for the sake of it. Not many people who are serious runners wear On shoes
I will never buy another On shoe. The two I've had, that stupid sole broke, completely ruining the run
Which models did you have?
What do you mean “the sole broke”?
They aren’t durable and their midsole dies after 100-150K at least the models up to 2023

Cirrus clouds 😂😂😂😂 clever stuff
Friends don’t let friends run in On Clouds
Ironically the “best shoe from On” and it doesn’t have the “clouds”.
Thumbs up for the Sydney 2000 t-shirt.
Give Robbie a break, he didn't get seeded his size shoe🤷♂️🤷♂️ I'll take a risk and drop 3 bills on it and form my own opinion!!
ON for all the boomers out there
And this boomer races in the Endo Pro and Takumi Sen and trains in the Rebel 4 Endo Speed 2’s I hoarded. Careful!
Hi. Keep up the good work. Like to Thomas and Robbe. Have a great day.
Wow does Robbe even care anymore. I am about to just skip his videos after the weak stuff he put out lately.
Think my nurse was wearing these
If I see any overweight women wearing these in the airport, I'm going to call Delta and cancel my flight, and never EVER EVER fly again.
Anyone knows the release date of the Strike LS?
