Main Bhi Bharat - Migration in Tribal India

- Main Bhi Bharat is the first ever TV programme in India on the tribes. This programme deals with the issues related to the identity, lifestyle and livelihood of the tribals. In this first episode of the programme, RSTV team travelled to the tribal districts of Madhya Pradesh and examined the issue of seasonal and circular migration in the tribal districts.
Most sections of the rural poor in India take up multiple strategies to sustain their family but in tribals with their limited access barely have any alternate work opportunities. This has resulted in large scale casualisation of the tribal work force. Seasonal and circular migration has long been part of the livelihood portfolio of poor people across India. The MGNREGA law related to rural employment could have been a policy instrument to change this situation, but there is reported impropriety and lack of political will to implement this law in tribal areas. Also, there are some new dimensions to the problem which are discussed in this programme.

I spent my 15 years in that state very near to the place that has been show but in those 15 years hardly anything change no sign of so called VIKAS (development)

I like all the programs of rstv especially guftagoo and kitab. In present era rstv show the real character of media. All private news channel must take a lesson from rstv.

The variations with real image of India's day to day life can only be shown by RS TV. Other commercial tv channels should also learn from this. I love the way RSTV makes its new programs . Great work..

Aadhar Card should not cost anything. Why they have to pay Rs 50?
+challenge because Govt. officials go to the villages for 1 or 2 time in a year to make AADHAR Cards, so those who don't get it during this time, have to get it from private agents, and they charge for it, and there is nexus between them
Do they(private players) also carry out finger print and cornea scanning? I'm afraid not. Let me know.
+challenge Aadhar is not even mandatory for rations and other things --supreme court
Yes I know gautham161291. I just wanted to know how private people carry out the procedure and get them cards without people's presence before govt officials. If the people's presence is needed then what is the need of paying Rs 50?
challenge they are authorised people, have all things for scanning, i think they work on PPP model.(I got my aadhar from them) and now AADHAR act passed, so, it will be made compulsory.
don't worry my husband is going to be IAS becoz it's his passion. he will solve all problems. trust me
You should be part of the problem solving too. people outside the system are better positioned to ask relevant que stions and offere solutions. i hope you do more than any IAS officer to solve our problems in near future.
