DBZ Gohan has more recovery, more stamina, and has the custom mentor perk. Im pretty sure you trade in all that for insane burst damage on DBS Gohan. I wouldn't call either of them better than the other, DBS Gohan is more of a sidegrade than a straight upgrade or downgrade because you can erase a whole health bar with DBS Gohan without that many inputs which is the best form of damage. Being able to do your damage quick instead of giving people an opportunity to vanish out before you can do any good damage.
Having custom status automatically makes dbz better. Doesnt help that even if dbs was custom he prolly wouldnt have as many options moveset wise, as in he'd fit with most of the newer mentors lacking sht like super afterimage. I dont see a scenario where dbz gohan *isnt* doing quick dmg himself anyway

I honestly use to get pissed by Ki stun players, now I just acknoledge that they need the training wheels. It's too hard for them to hit a moving target. They need the Ki stun to compensate for the lack of skill, take that away they loose everytime.
Yes and no people abuse but some people have a competitive mind where they use mechanics that are como to play kina like smash wave dashing and animation cancels so depends

Never understood the appeal of Ki Blast Cannon. Maybe I actually like my opponent having fun, maybe I don't use it enough, but it just doesn't do anything for me.
It depends, Z Gohan has the custom which gives him some unpredictability and souls like "Over here you idiot" which makes him a good endurance fighter. DBS:SH Gohan can output absolutely mental damage which gets amplified even more after perfect blocks, but he has a copious amount of issues, only has 6 bars of stamina, his version of Ultimate makes his stamina regen slower, some of his combos feel a little over committal, his soul makes him get stuck in stamina breaks longer, and he has the very particular issue of his evasive having stamina super armor instead of perfect super armor like most, scratch that, literally all other damaging evasives, meaning you can come out of your stupidly long stamina break, be forced to chunk 3 bars of stamina to block an ultimate (because yes his Spirit Slash takes 3 bars) and have said ultimate inhale the other 3 putting you right back into another excessively long stamina break and die. DBS:SH Gohan could be better if you can play him properly to minimize the extent of his problems, but overall DBZ Gohan is more versatile with far less drawbacks to play around.
I paid 8 dollars for 2 cool shark robot men with amazing super souls and new moves And some 🤓 with reused animations no new skills and a mid super soul

What I meant was SH Gohan's Potential Unleashed makes his stamina regenerate slower than it would if he wasn't transformed, not that it regenerates slower than the original Potential Unleashed for Z Gohan and cacs. Put a bit more simply, the base game Potential Unleashed has no effect on stamina recovery, but SH Gohan's version of it does and it's a negative effect.
I was fighting my friend the other day and he picked hit with ki cancels so while I was using my frieza race and not ki canceling. The next match I chose Hit and ki canceled also and green barred him

Do you not remember bt3 having custom otpions? Xenoverse 2 at it's *"best"* is a blend of budokai & tenkaichi. Stuns being busted are irrelevant to inconsistent customization. Game wouldnt have the same replayability w/o it

Imagine if you could disable perfect block stam drain, or replace basic stuns with instant charged ones? What about multiplying your hp stat? That's a balance prob noone talks about, everything a pocket nuke now but hp's stayed mostly static.
