Working in car finance myself all be it mainly subprime, there almost impossible to finance on the average member of the publics budget given the price of the car it’s self because most lenders need the car to be 2019 plate and above to get a 60 month term, not to mention a lot of them the manufacturer actually lease the battery on the car meaning a lender won’t finance it anyway, I’ve financed thousands of cars over the years and only 1 has ever been electric 😂loving the podcasts btw lads interesting to see the higher end of the industry works 😂
If you have the ability to get a home charger at a low rate (7-10p kwh) and don't do constant long drives then an EV is worth it. I have one and love it. Otherwise nobody should get one. Obviously if you are looking for a 'fun' car driving experience, realistically you want an ICE car which is fine. But most people care about getting from A to B in the cheapest, easiest and comfortable way possible and I'd argue that is electric in many cases. Also bare in mind that in 5 - 10 years electric cars & EV infrastructure will be 10X what it is now. You WILL eventually have one :)
Yeah are right if u have a very specific situation ev might make sense but it has to be so specific that for most people they don't make sense. Honestly I know people that own EVs and they agree..one of them even has has his house kitted out to make and store electric and make money off it etc and he still says he's likely to not but an other ev
@@FrancisDietPodcast Every single one of their points were wrong bro. Idgaf who they are or what they sell. Theyve clearly done zero research and just read a few headlines.
I love how EVs are being pushed because of climate issues but loads of companies are pushing huge super fast beasts of vehicles!! How absolutely stupid do they think we are?! Why focus on that if it's about that? U would focus on reasonable cars that last and go as far as possible and the point he made about them being like a smart phone..exactly! Oh yeah changing your car constantly and upgrading when the cars to make are so bad for the planet!! Oh that makes so much sense 🤦 It's all about money and control I think it's backfiring.
Every person and their auntie living within the vicinity of NW1 and SW9 have a Taycan. In fact, it's equally popular in the Home Counties. The mere sight of Porsche badge makes me viscerally sick 🤢
Er..ok lol no it's because they don't think for themselves! Footballers buy stupid products not things that make sense.. everyone is telling them that they are the next big thing and they are soooo cool..and they go 'oh ok bruh! Niiiicee'
We are not even ckose to being ready for electric cars, if we ever will be, i know people that have evs and say they will never buy an other..they just dont make sense at all. Maybe in 50 years when battery tech is totally different and we have great power infrastructure..who knows.
Tesla lfp battery can last 1m miles

Never!
All true.
Evs are best for long trips. The highest mileage brand per year in Uk is a Tesla

@@tomcockcroft9394I really don't think that's true..Iv yet to talk to someone who agrees with this statement..and I mean people that are pro ev
EFuel synthetic fuel is the future not electric
You guys literally have no clue about the cybertruck. Almost all of your points are inaccurate. Calling a steel truck silver is just laughable.
