I enjoy coming back and watching this as I await my first rebind from him. I grew up with the original Bible Design Blog where Allan bound by Chant was king, and even though the paper has improved vastly since then, I still love that classic look in terms of the lay fat binding, rounded spine, and impeccable corner work. Nick has mastered that and become the "Chant Killer". As such, I've always wanted to have a Bible bound by him, I was just waiting for either my perfect textblock, or if I was going to convert to Orthodoxy, get an Orthodox Study Bible bound by him. The latter is currently taking place, which makes Nick an even more perfect choice (being Orthodox himself). It's definitely going to be "the one" for me (with an Apocryphal ESV as a supplement since the ESV is technically my favourite translation; we need Allan to do an Apocryphal NCR with a fuller yapp and double gilt line to compete with the other two big premium publishers...)
What really makes L&L second to none is the next level precision in craftsmanship and overall aesthetic. I can't think of a more pleasing rebind to look at than a L&L, but I recognize that's subjective. Nick also does raised hubs by the way.

Adrian Alonzo who is Diego Calcoa Jr’s protege and close friend and brother they work together and go to church together. Diego just did a custom rebind for me and is finishing one for me today he created for me to preach and teach out of a NASB95 and I have many of Adrian’s Bibles they both have become dear friends and brothers to me personally! Did you know the character in your thumbnail is from the vampire movie "Twilight"? The character is named Aro and he is a very old vampire hahaha 😂 I love Twilight but didn't know if you knew! And it's interesting that you'd end up picking that picture for this video because theres a quote in the Twilight books about the lion(Edward, a vampire) falling in love with a lamb(Bella, a human) so...Lion and Lamb publishing is a fitting name!
