I don’t know what it is but whenever you design a knife based on a traditional design professor Emerson, the knife just stands out so much. Other karambits just don’t have the style this one has. Just another great design! Love it!
I bought my first Emerson 2 weeks ago. Basically because Ernie seemed like a good dude solid guy. And a buddy of mine that really got me into collecting knives kept aggravating me about getting one. Those two reasons alone I bought it and was nonchalant about the whole thing not that excited. Until it came in. I barely put it down since I absolutely love the knife awesome quality and the damn thing is wood knot tough. About to add another.
Considering one of these, or a fixed blade. I have a Benchmade liner-lock straight-blade and I read that they can accidentally close on your fingers during "exercise." Positive open and lock unless deliberately unlocked is what I need. I know Doug Marcaida teaches with folding karambits and designed one. That makes me feel better.
@@funnybmxingandscooting9866 You are posting a misleading information. The real reason why Emerson knives have a chisel ground edge is because making such blade is much cheaper, it is also quicker and saves tools from wearing. Chisel ground edge can't stand against double ground edge because it makes sharpening much more difficult and when you slice and cut material it tends to curve on the ground side of the blade.
@@funnybmxingandscooting9866 And just because they cost hundreds of dollars you think that they are high quality products right? I would never gave 275 dollars or more for a knife that uses liner (shitty) locking system and a chisel ground edge. Cold Steel Tiger Claw with outstanding sharpness and unbeatable Tri Ad locking system is much better choice along with the lower price.

Why only grind the blade on one side?
