I’m a super noob to the FPV game, but these O4 kits are such a good value for an easy plug-n-play FPV homemade drones. DJI is super innovative on how they run their company, not many tech companies would sell the guts of their products to use for other drones or homemade setups. Mad props for that.
DJI has been making FPV products for almost as long as they have existed. From the original DJI FPV Air unit, the Vista, the O3 air unit, now the O4 air unit. It's not a new product line DJI is anti consumer at times, like requiring a new set of batteries for every drone model. But overall I agree that DJI is both innovative, and dominating. Look how many youtubers uses a DJI Mic now. The DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro surpasses GoPro's old action-cam tech. And no other company makes such high tech drones, that are good across every price range
So you seam to understand all the system. Looking at some of the cine line or the upcoming mavic 4 is it worth spending more money to get ProRes ? Will it help with things like color grading? Or will I be able to get the same results with d log?
Which option is more believable: Option 1 - nobody with a drone was tempted to send up and take footage for personal use or sale to media. Option 2 - someone sent drone up and hit a plane
@ You left out other options. Option 3 - lots of people sent up drones to take footage, but none of them made contact with a plane. Option 4 - the FBI is lying. I understand that, given their impeccable track record of transparency and honesty, it may be hard for some to believe-but it's still a possibility. Option 5 - the government is pushing to ban DJI drones, and this incident-allegedly caused by a drone-along with reported drone sightings in New Jersey, has drawn negative attention and unwarranted hype that only strengthened their case. Option 6 - something else caused that damage. Option 7 - every DJI drone has a serial number on it, officials would have known in a matter of hours who purchased that particular one. A week later.....crickets. Option 8 - anything that struck the bright red paint on the leading edge of that wing at those speeds would have caused some paint transfer. However, there is none on the drone pieces or the wing. Also given the severity of that violent impact, some of those drone pieces are surprisingly large. Option 9 - never limit yourself to just two options; doing so is shallow, reflects a lack of thought and tunnel vision.
@ It may or may not transfer well, but it still transfers, especially under force significant enough to puncture the wing. Cured paint from plastic car bumpers transfers easily onto another plastic bumper.
I was excited about the Flip but lost interest as specs came out. My use case was this, I have an Air 3. I need a sub 250g drone for a summer trip to Spain. I waited for the release of the Flip and decided a $235 Mini 4k refurb fit the need and the budget was super friendly for using it, then selling it on my return to the US.
Grazie e buon lavoro.
Depends if they get banned by the FCC or not, they could just be banned from selling new products, or they could be banned on US communications full stop, this is an ongoing debate, but I think DJI is on borrowed time in the USA, land of the free and all that lol
A few days ago the DJI FLIP came out, I don't know what will happen to the Mini range in the future or if it will be replaced by the Flip. As you say, the laws against DJI are going to get tougher. The doubt I have now is that a while ago the specifications of what would be the 1st 360 from DJI were leaked. Is there anything known about when the DJI Osmo 360 might come out? Thank you very much and keep it up.
Rude to be this early! Without watching, Igor on X I believe is expecting a March/April release date. Expect similar price maybe, looking forward to getting this in the UK, last drone I had was AIR 3 and AVATA. Avata was terrible anywhere outside except on the most still days, but there we go! Been waiting for this for ages
DJI has never had an actual Micro four thirds sensor. 4/3 is not micro four thirds. From what is saw a while ago. I could be wrong as this info is very confusing.
Great review and info...I had the privilege as a sub dealer for DJI to be a part of the Matrice 4 announcement the only thing I wish they would've done is put some type of IP rating on the thermal bird. If anyone's looking to purchase these drones you're gonna be waiting a while until the United States government stops holding inventory at the border. Seems to me that if DJI was such a big threat why are they looking at all the cell phones all the tablets all the medical devices all of the routers in the Internet connectivity products as being suspect of spying? Enough said on the topic..... if you're looking for best possible pricing contact our foundation we not only guarantee best possible pricing but we also receive up to 10% of the proceeds of any sale to support our nonprofit which donates drones to police and fire departments who cannot otherwise afford them...
I know everybody likes to call this guy that crashed into the plane a dummy but ask yourself this; if you are standing on your own lawn, watching the smoke get closer and closer to everything you love, and your scared to death that this fire is gonna take everything you've worked your entire life for, wouldn't you be tempted to get a better look and see how long you got till it gets to your door step!?!?! You call this guy an idiot but it's you that sounds ignorant.
My issue with this is that you know the rules. You already know if there are aircraft around, they take precedent. Remember, that in that case, they now present danger to the flying craft and threaten those who are trying to put the fire out. That plane now had to land and now it’s one less aircraft that can stop that fire. I hear your sentiment, but your curiosity does not trump someone else’s safety.
The flip would have been more interesting if it was Cat1 compliant for ops over people here in the US. As it currently stands, though, it feels to me like just a missed opportunity.
Agreed, I was hoping it to have Remote ID for this exact purpose. I think it is quite possible that a firmware update could make it RID compliant, but I won't hold my breath. Definitely a missed opportunity that a lot of part 107 pilots would have purchased it, myself included.
Sorry Guy,,, but what you are doing is called riding the coat tail of others,,, Most of us get our information from GREG at PILOT INSTITUTE,,, you know,,the same guy to deal with to get your PART 107 UAV LICENSE... You can't give us more information or details then they do,,and we've already heard everything you are saying from there 1-2 weeks ago... I Salute your aim,,,but what you are trying to now achieve,,is already covered!!!!!

Any news on the multispectral unit or an attachment?
Thank you for posting! I'm watching now. Very excited to order this when it is released
Also, really good video. Good, clear explanations, you earned a sub. 🤙

Very cool
Any news on a new RC pro / pro controller?
Not one speck of red transfer paint is visible on any of the drone fragments allegedly involved in the collision with the scooper plane's wing.
Exactly. It's too convenient.

you can get the A1/A3 drone license for free to fly a drone over 250g in the EU
Joseph when do you think the Mini 5 Pro will be released?
I would say later into the year, summer time.

If DJI gets banned like after few months and if i had bought DJI Flip
Will i be able to use it? Or it will illegal to fly all existing DJI drones?
Yup, before ban... no problem.
@@xploraflorida Sorry i didn’t get you. If i buy dji drone today and it gets banned after few months then will i be able to fly after the ban?

Just go to Mexico or Canada and buy it there and come back home problem solved
Are we blaming the drone for flying into an airplane and not the operator? 😂 Did the drone fly into the airplane or the airplane fly into the drone?😮
I want to see a mini 4t with thermal camera
I want to see a mini 5 pro invisible and zero noise for less than 500 dollars

Sony made the Mavic 3 main sensor which is micro four thirds 4/3. unknown who will make the mavic 4 sensor though.
Your doing a great job well. Forget about the Karens. They have a miserable life and want to bring you to their level. Don’t bite. Great video!
To me the Flip seems like a souped up Neo that can fold up
