You just amaze me with your minimalist travel. I have adapted a few of your travel such as the bento for even out of the house all day. Oh my gosh, Bernadette you have just put the biggest smile on my face! I am so happy that you were getting some great hacks from my videos! And I also love how you use these hacks for something other than air travel! Looked in your description box for a product and saw that your necklace was made in Niles! I grew up in Fremont and that brought back memories!! Currently in Roseville which is like my childhood hometown. Thank you for that trip down memory lane.
Oh wow! It’s such a cute little town! Lots of antique stores and now we’re getting a couple of other little stores in there so I’m hoping that trend continues. Roseville is also very nice. I’m glad I was able to give you a trip down memory lane.😊💕
Thank you so much! I’m so happy you enjoyed this video and I’m going to be doing a new video soon as I found some new great travel favorites and I’ll be sharing those with you soon💕😊
New subscriber. Your videos are great - full of so many helpful tips! You're so resourceful and sweet. I ordered the makeup brushes after viewing this video. They arrived today and I absolutely love them. These brushes are so soft and perfect size for travel. Thank you for the recommendation and videos.
Thank you so much and welcome to Theory Of Simple! So happy to have you as part of this community! I’m so glad you like those brushes! I’m on a trip right now and I have to say I’m so happy I got them too😊 I am looking forward to your feedback on my other videos❤️🙏😊
My grandmother had no eyebrows, so she always drew them on. The thing was, she didn't draw on a "normal" eyebrow, it was a thin arched line. When she passed away, my mother and Aunt went to the funeral home. And upon seeing her, my mother started saying something like "that's not her, that's not my mother". The mortician tried comforting her, explaining that sometimes people don't look the same after they've passed, etc. Then my aunt finally realized, "it's her eyebrows". The makeup artist had drawn on real eyebrows, so it made her face look weird. They had to have her come in, take off the eyebrows they had drawn, and then put that weird arched line on her. Both the mortician in the makeup artist apparently kept asking "Are you sure you want it that way?" 😊 As the story went around the family it just getting funnier and funnier, recognizing Grannie's "signature" eyebrows, that everybody knew and recognized, but nobody ever noticed or questioned. 😂❤
Yes, back in the day we used to pluck your eyebrows into a really thin little arch. That was what they did.. but now bushy eyebrows are in. Unfortunately when mine fell out, they didn’t come back in that way. Thank you so much for sharing that story.🙏❤️😊
Just what I needed today! I’m going makeup shopping. I’m a 71 year old African American woman with light skin. I stopped wearing makeup when I retired, except for special occasions. Now, however, I’m wanting to try a VERY minimal daily (maybe) makeup routine. I have several lipstick shades I love, so I’m good there. But my concealer is so old I’m afraid to use it. LOL Thanks so much for sharing your routine with us. Have you ever tried BOOM by Cindy Joseph? I’m very intrigued with that set.
Thank you so much, Renee! I find the older I get I need to use less make up, but I still need to do something to brighten up my face! I have seen that line called Boom. I haven’t tried it, but I am always on the lookout for something new and minimalist! I may have to give that a try. Someone also said Bobby Brown has a really good line to try out..
Thank you so much, Tryphine! I’m feeling better and I think changing my diet is helping me lower my blood sugar and I’ve lost a little bit of weight. Still working on it and it will always be a work in progress for me.🙏😊❤️
Yes! Exactly!! I find that it also keeps my foundation from settling in there as much and when it does settle I’m able to easily blend it out with my little finger! 🙏😊❤️
Thank you so much! The older I get I find let’s make up works better. I guess there’s just too many fine lines and wrinkles for it to settle into at this stage, but a little make up just brightened up my face a little bit.🙏😊❤️
My hairdresser of 20+ years always told me because I have natural curly hair to only wash my hair once a week. Been doing this forever and the natural oils keep my hair healthy. Many curly hair gals have frizz and very dry hair because they think they have to wash their hair every day. They are doing themselves a disservice to their hair. By the way I love your videos and content.
Thank you, Donna! 🙏❤️😊 My hair behaves better when It is a couple days after washing! And I agree, washing to often is not healthy for the scalp or hair!
Simple but well thought after… Sjogren’s is a pain to have, I know (‘cause I was also diagnosed having it😮) but life goes on!! Luv luv your ‘positiveness’
I stopped wearing makeup during Covid shut down...I got so used to not wearing makeup. Now I'm starting to get back into wearing makeup. I packed my makeup for a trip and it sure is a lot more than I'd like to take with me. I'm going to reduce it, now that I saw your video. 💄💋
I did exactly the same during Covid. Since we were wearing mask all the time, I figured why put make up on🤣😂 but now that we returned to some normality, and I’m doing RUclips, I’m starting to wear it again. 😊
Thank you so much Eugenia! I usually don’t wear make up every day, but when I’m gonna be out and about or meeting people, I just like to feel a little bit brighter in the face! 🙏😊❤️
You are so pretty even without makeup. I love this tutorial. I also do not wear much makeup, usually just a little powder foundation, some blush, some eyeliner and mascara.
Thank you so much❤️❤️ I find the older I get the less make up I wear, because it just doesn’t settle into creases and wrinkles as well. Of course, I’d love to have a flawless face, but I’m just not willing to spend the money on operations and lasers and shots. This year I started using some different products on my face and I do notice some difference, so maybe I’ll do another video on other products can I use prior to my make up❤️😊
Love it! I am not quite so minimalist, but I’m about to go on a trip to Europe and I’ve watched a bunch of your vids. Thank you! You have given me some great ideas and advice about keeping it simple! I have pared WAAYY back. 🎉
Thank you so much, Sylvia! I am so happy you’re getting some great hacks for my videos for your Europe trip! I have found that most of the time I wear a lot of the same thing over and over during my trips either do to comfort or doing the same thing all the time. But I will tell you is if you could pick up a couple of good silk scarves in a couple of different sizes they pack really tiny, and they could change an outfit on a dime.! Now that I have told you that it reminds me that I need to do a video on that! 🙏😊❤️
Love, love, love your mini makeup and brushes! I tell you we are kindred spirits in minimalist packing. 😂 I have mini makeup too and fit it into a 4” x 3” zipper pouch. It all has to be natural too. You mentioned you are allergic to lipstick…I have reactions too. Have you tried Red Apple Lipstick out of TX? They have lipstick and makeup you can most likely wear. Their stuff is all natural. I’m not sponsored by them or anything but thought I’d pass it along. ❤ Also, I don’t wash my hair more than once a week! The way I keep it clean is by brushing with a mason Pearson 100% boar bristle brush every day. I’m 42 but like to keep it old school. People used to clean their hair of dust, lint, and dead skin cells by repeatedly brushing from the scalp to the ends. This would also work to distribute sebum from the scalp to condition the hair. It’s worth it to me because even my hair stylist has complimented how my hair is shiny, very soft and healthy. Anyway, I love your videos and always learn something new. 🤗
Oh my gosh! We are kindred Spirits! I believe in keeping those natural oils on your hair and scalp, and there’s a reason why we have it! I also brush my hair with a natural wood and boars head bristle brush although sometimes I do carry something plastic small in my purse when I just need to tidy up! I would love to hear more about that red apple cosmetic company out of Texas so I will definitely be looking them up!! Thank you so much for sharing that💕🙏😊
You saved me with the contact lenses case idea. I recently went to Mexico and saved some good space using that for my primer, Foundation, and eye cream. Love your videos!
Most days are no makeup for me, but your routine is almost exactly my zhush routine, just different products (I generally use a pallete from E.L.F.). I also really like Thrive Causemetics triple threat color stick, because it works well for lip cheek and eye color, and the brush is built right into the other side. I'll usually carry that, a brow pencil, and mascara.
Thank you so much for sharing that! I have seen those advertisements for the thrive cosmetics, and I wanted to try it. You have given me the courage to give it a try.! That could completely alter this whole make up bag! 🙏😊❤️
Eunice, you are so naturally beautiful, you hardly need any products at all. Having said that(wrote that lol), I really appreciate your scaled down beauty routine. I'm of a certain mature age(56) and have completely simplified my makeup and skincare routine over the years. I have rosacea so the less products the better. You are so on point abt primer. I have a travel size from Bare Minerals and it has lasted me over two years. It feels like silk on my face. Atm, I use : Concealer Foundation Pressed powder Blush Beigy pink eyeshadow Grey and navy eye pencils Mascara Burt's Bee tinted lip balm Two lipsticks It's a special occasion if I wear everything....usually foundation, lip balm and mascara lol. I also only have two brushes: a blush brush and an eyeshadow brush. Both do double and triple duty. I don't even bother wth my eyebrows or bronzer. Great video!
Simply gorgeous with or without makeup. I do like to zhuzh my face up a bit now and again. I have the opposite nose issue, mine very much show my “mix” Italian, African, Greek and Jewish parts 😂😂 and it’s huge LOL *edited to add* that mascara is simply the best. I have hooded/almond/slanted eyes (I know huh?) and that mascara is everything!
Thank you so much! ❤️😊 I love that mascara because it doesn’t smear under my eyes! Also, it’s pretty easy to takeoff so I don’t know what formula they use but it’s great and I also love the brush! 😊❤️
@@stargypsysoul604 yes! But my eyelashes started to come back in. I had bare spots, and this at least help fill in what I had, and make it look like I had lashes! 😊
I love the simple makeup routine. I was never good at doing foundation. I usually just use pressed powder, since my skin (even at 66y) is oily after a couple of hours. Definitely like the contouring duo, that does double duty! Love the little Kipling bag & it's metal monkey, instead of furry! Thank you for sharing! God bless!
Hi Eunice, I've been watching you and your tiny Kipling pouch. I need it like a hole in my head but when Amazon had one color for $14. 98, I caved I know you can identify. Also hsn had Clinique travel size soaps 3 for $11.00 and free shipping I had to order them. Good sales get me every time. Love watching you
Hi Gail! We are cut from the same cloth! ❤️When I know the value of something, and I see it on sale, I buy it! Especially if it’s something I know I’m going to use eventually or can gift to someone! That’s a great price on that Kipling pouch! And those travel, soaps, or something that always come in handy, so I would feel guilty about that at all! Course if you know me, you know I can justify anything🤣😂 so glad you found those great finds and shared those with us❤️😊
Such a good idea using contacts cases for foundation & primer. I did have one of those mini sized ones from IT cosmetics I used. But for even less space contacts cases is good. Also have a mini brush set too.
Wow, you achieved quite a nice made up face from that small kit! As far as hair, mine is naturally curly and dry so I only wash once a week, but I’ll refresh it with a light watering during the week.
Thank you so much, Linda! I have to keep it really small, so it’ll fit easily in my personal carry-on! Just wondering if you have ever used dry shampoo powder? I have not, but some people like it.🙏😊❤️
I'm not much on makeup since I've been wearing masks for more than a decade (I'm very prone to rhinitis). I can only really be bothered to put on a bit of coloured gloss and maybe mascara. If and when there are events I need to attend, I get a pro to do my warpaint. Any attempts done personally always end in a disaster. Hahaha! Btw, my friend tells me a lip and cheek tint keeps her edc even lighter since she can do away with the brushes.
Thank you for sharing! I’m always looking for some new types of makeup that will let me pair down as soon as I find a pallet that works I will share it!
Thank you so much! Yes, I have also found that sometimes certain cosmetics make my skin break out/itch, or my eyes irritated. So I’m pretty careful and once I find something I like I stick with it. I have also noticed that going through menopause has changed my skin a bit and I’ve had to change some products out.. of course I’m always on the lookout for something new so if I find things I’ll try to bring them to you guys on this channel! 🙏😊❤️
Very interesting Eunice! I don't wear makeup very often, but it's good to see how it's done these days (I last learned how to do makeup in the 80's, which shows you how long it's been since I wore it!!!) I've never even heard of primer! One question, how did you find the sample size of those lip glosses? The link takes me to full sizes, which would be too big.
I got that sample size of lipgloss at Sephora last year. Sometimes I’ll go to Sephora and when you go through the checkout line, they have lots a little sample and trial sizes.
@@jenharvey3397 well, if you ever do go be prepared to be overwhelmed! There’s a lot of stuff there and even if I get overwhelmed when I’m in there! But my favorite section is that section in your check out that has all the trial sizes! 🙏❤️😊
Is this the same as your regular routine? Do you put the mascara, gloss and foundation in your liquids bag for flying? I hate having to shuffle items around. Been experimenting with finding non liquids to travel with. I have the bigger (travel size) bronzer you have but now I want the blush combo!
This is very similar to my home make up routine. I do not put my mascara and lipgloss in my Lucas bag because I’ve never been asked to and they’re pretty small, so I never remove them out of that bag. The most important thing is that brush that because it’s small enough to fit in that little bag and gives me all the brushes I need to get my make up on.😊💕
Are usually either use that punch satin hair curler that you sleeping or I use a tapered wand. Once I curl it, it will stay curled up the whole week.🙏😊❤️
Oh! I forgot to mention that I have been blessed with great skin have have no wrinkles yet. However, I do have heavy puffiness (bags) under my eyes which is hereditary. That’s why I’m looking for concealer. Thanks again!
I have those bags as well as you can see in the video😂 I just find the concealer doesn’t really hide them, and sometimes makes it look worse. If you find a great concealer, that works let me know.🙏😊❤️
I’ve learned that there’s no “miracle cure” for them. I used to use liquid concealer, but as I got older it would cake under my eyes. I’m trying out a concealer stick, like a big crayon, by L’Oreal. The bags themselves create a shadow under them. I try to put the concealer only in the area that is shadowed, not on the bags themselves. Short of surgery, there’s really nothing I can do except try to brighten my eyes and draw attention away from the bags. I add highlighter under my brows to draw the attention up and away. I also stay away from eyeliner under my lower lids and use mascara only on my upper lids. As long as my face looks more alive and bright, I’m satisfied with that.
@@reneenospam yes! As we age, we have to change up our make up routine to fit our new faces😊 I very rarely use wine or under my eye, except in the very corner, and most the time I only put mascara on my upper lashes to. If you like your concealer, let me know which one it is so I’d like to try it.🙏❤️
Awesome makeup routine. I'm definitely into less is more for my makeup. I used to be a full face everyday but as I get older...im more of a this is it... like or don't....😂
Thank you! I wanted to show that it doesn’t take a lot when you just want to brighten up your face a bit. And I’ve also noticed it as I’ve gotten older, less is more.😊 Thank you so much for your feedback! 🙏❤️😊

@@TheoryofSimple Same when my eyelashes are sparse, it gives them good volume too 😵
@@stargypsysoul604 yes! But my eyelashes started to come back in. I had bare spots, and this at least help fill in what I had, and make it look like I had lashes! 😊
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Love your mini toiletry bag! 😊
Thank you so much Leanne! 😊❤️🙏
God bless!
Thank you, Wands! The great thing about oily skin is that it takes better to aging! Plus you make your own foundation with the powder! 😊🙏❤️
Course if you know me, you know I can justify anything🤣😂 so glad you found those great finds and shared those with us❤️😊
This is fantastic - I travel à LOT and I just think this is amazing Thank You 😍💖💖💖
Thank you so much! Truly appreciate your feedback, and I hope these help you on your next travel adventure🙏😊❤️
Such a good idea using contacts cases for foundation & primer. I did have one of those mini sized ones from IT cosmetics I used. But for even less space contacts cases is good. Also have a mini brush set too.
Thank you so much! This little bag will get me through a week. Even if I wear make up every day, this will last me more than a week.😊🙏❤️
I thought my travel makeup bag was small, but it’s probably the size of your whole toiletries bag. Love the “Mary Poppins” scene. 🌺 Heidi
Thank you so much, Heidi! I think I’ve heard it down about as small as I can get it! 🙏😊❤️
Great job ! Love your videos!
Thank you so much, Jo-Ann! Truly appreciate your feedback🥰
I have not, but some people like it.🙏😊❤️
@@TheoryofSimple No, I have never tried dry shampoo. My hair is dark brown so I’ve been hesitant to try with it being a powder.
Love the simple make up! You are beautiful 😊
Oh, thank you so very much🙏😊❤️ that is so kind of you❤️❤️❤️
You are always so well put together!💞
Oh my Gosh, Thank you, Shari! ❤️😊🙏
@@TheoryofSimple you're most welcome, you're gorge!
@@lyricneeder you just made my evening!❤️🙏
Defo takin makeup on hols soon. Tfs❤
You are very welcome🙏😊❤️
Beautiful!❤
Thank you so much! 💕😊
Nice video as always..😊 U don't need any makeup..you r gorgeous
Thank you so much! ❤️That is so very kind of you!🙏😊
Love your ring! Do you mind sharing where you got it?
I got that ring at TJ Maxx several years ago. 😊❤️
This was a fun video to watch. Love your channel. ❤👍🏼
Thank you so much, Noemi! 🙏😊❤️
I love your ring ( on your right hand)- can you share where that’s from?
Hi Margo, I got that ring many many years ago at a jewelry shop in Greece. 😊❤️
Great video! I love the tiny brushes! I'm allergic to mascara and eye shadow. Even hypoallergenic ones 🙄 I can wear mineral eye shadow though!
Wet you eye shadow and line your lashes with it. You'll be amazed at how it enhances your lashes.
@@reppi8742 yes! It acts like a liquid liner! 🙏😊
Thanks for the tip! I will definitely try that.

Thank you so much 🙏❤️😊
Very interesting Eunice!
@@TheoryofSimple Good to know, I've never been in a Sephora store.
The most important thing is that brush that because it’s small enough to fit in that little bag and gives me all the brushes I need to get my make up on.😊💕
Great video;) Sorry if I missed it but what makeup bag is that? Brand?
Thank you so much ! 😊❤️The brand is Kipling, and it is linked in the video description🙏😊❤️
How do you get your hair to look so great while traveling?
Are usually either use that punch satin hair curler that you sleeping or I use a tapered wand. Once I curl it, it will stay curled up the whole week.🙏😊❤️
No shopping links for us?
All the links are in the video description😊❤️
If you like your concealer, let me know which one it is so I’d like to try it.🙏❤️
Hello, i just saw a shorts video, you used a rose colored hair curler...from what brand is it? Thanks
I’m going to try to paste the link here for you. If it doesn’t work, let me know. amzn.to/48s3Zf6

Awesome makeup routine. I'm definitely into less is more for my makeup. I used to be a full face everyday but as I get older...im more of a this is it... like or don't....😂
@@jenxu2 I completely agree! Seems like more make up I put on the older I look😜
Impressive! So many of the makeup tutorials take forever. Yours was more realistic for real women.
Thank you! I wanted to show that it doesn’t take a lot when you just want to brighten up your face a bit. And I’ve also noticed it as I’ve gotten older, less is more.😊 Thank you so much for your feedback! 🙏❤️😊
LOVED this vlog! Thank you for being so "real!" btw, you have a great nose...not as Asian as mine!😊
Thank you so much, Marlene! I do have half a German / French nose! 🇯🇵🇩🇪🇫🇷
Hi, did you say you’re Asian? I’m Asian, too!
Hi Brooke! Yes! I am HAPA! Half Japanese! 🎌🇯🇵
@@TheoryofSimple So beautiful! I heard you mention your mother in one of your videos, and I can certainly relate to being raised by an Asian mama. 😍 I’m half Asian, too! ☺️ I’m half Filipino & half Black!!
@@broookehunter that sounds like a beautiful combination! My niece is half black and half Samoan and she is beautiful! 🙏❤️😊
Love the video as always, but please turn the volume of the background music down. You have already been speaking quietly and it was hard to understand some sentences.
Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, I didn’t have my mic and stuff set up for this because I wasn’t planning on filming.
