It's so odd to me when people say Scream is their favorite Drew Barrymore movie when she's killed within the first 15 mins, and she's playing pretty much the most shallow dumb blond sort of stereotype without character development in the film. She just has SO MANY better characters in better movies.
god she's flawless and just exudes beauty. I was literally obsessed with her in the 90s. I even had a huge photo album (the real, tangible ones that look like a book with pages, not a digital album like we have today), PACKED FULL of her magazine articles and pics back then. 😊 I've grown out of all that, but I still think she's a beautiful soul. 💕 how could you not love her.
Only 17 here and she spoke so eloquently and with such conscious alertness regarding topics that was so taboo in society at the time such as homophobia, gender bias, etc. (and still is for many today). Such maturity and authority of self at such a young age. Well done Drew!

The glorious 90s. I remember when I got that magazine issue in the mail. I was in high school and I had a subscription to Interview magazine. I opened my mailbox and I saw her and Jamie Walters (the heartthrob from the show Beverly Hills 90210) on the cover and my jaw dropped to the ground. lol. I had a huge crush on both of them at the time. Poison Ivy was the first movie I bought on VHS tape. lol. Man. There was so much homophobia in the 90s. I'm glad that she stood up for gay people saying it's okay. I wish I had seen this interview back when it came out. I don't think she realized how many people she helped just by doing that shoot and saying, "Hey it's okay to be who you are." I'm so glad her career is still flourishing today.
I’m so confused....she was 17 here! posing nude and getting engaged to a much older guy?!! instead of covering up the magazine from children, maybe don’t take nude photos of a child!
Noora Kayed... You're judging people you know nothing about. People, including girls are having sex young these days, maturing early mentally and emotionally as well. I was 16 when I met the man I married at 18. We were in love, raised kids, and stayed in love and married for 20 years (it only ended because he died). Just stop judging people.

I wish she could bring some of this candor to her show. She seems so manufactured now. I miss this punk rock beauty Drew!
One of my favorite Drew interviews on Arsenio. Well I like all the appearances and interviews Drew did on the Arsenio Hall show back in 1992. I noticed Drew was real nervous. Maybe Drew knew Arsenio was going to attack her non stop, during this interview, which was the case. But I thought Drew pulled it off, as she always successfully does! It's forgivable because it was 90's, and Drew was a young, emancipated, wild child.
Well...what gets me is all the European Art oil paintings that have totally nude women, and people don't criticize it, they just look at it in museums & other places. Photography isn't that much different if you take it as art.

I cannot believe she's only 17 here, especially since she looks a lot like Marilyn Monroe in the early 60's (when she was in her 30's), the fact that she's engaged (was that even legal?!), and how well-spoken she is. She's light years ahead of 17 year olds nowadays.
@@lauramalizia9636 Yes, she seems more confident & comfortable with herself in this interview. Kinda crazy that she was able to achieve those things (along with overcoming alcohol/drug abuse) within a time span of just 2 years & at such a young age, too.
Wasn't it the Renaissance that had all those oil paintings with totally nude women on them? At least a magazine won't hang up on museum walls or other places for as long an exposure. Drew's attitude is pretty mature. 🎈
I see some comments saying her age (17) was ok because she was emancipated at 14. Emancipation does give minors the right to enter agreements (like contracts, military, marriage etc) but I do not think it changes other laws. The drinking age would still be 21, and posing nude, I would think, is still be 18.
