One of the best PPC videos on RUclips. Actually showing what simple optimization looks like, instead of just saying “optimize your ppc”. Good job 👏🏼👏🏼

You got it! Be sure to join us for our live AMA tomorrow, at 3pm EST here on the channel. Greg and Rolando will take any PPC questions you might have.
Good stuff guys! I just launched my first product a few days ago and its realllly hard not to adjust my manual PPC campaigns. My auto campaign has been effective and way more cost efficient than any of my manual campaigns. So my question is.. during a launch, how many sales per/day do you consider successful? How many is not so good? Wondering if I should offer a deeper discount, increase PPC budget, or just let it ride.
Thanks in advance!
such a nice video .....no words to thank you for this amazing work.

Do you ever turn keywords back on? What if the keyword is very relevant to your product but not performing well? Like turning off the keyword "keyboard tray" for a keyboard tray?
You could do that!
That is definitely a strategy that some sellers follow!

Hi @junglescout guys - Watched the entire MDCS as I launched my FBA business this summer. I am around day 45 selling through FBA. So...what comes next? I'm finding nearly all resources online (whether JS web tool or other channels) are mostly focused on pre-launch through PPC tweaking. What's after? My business is running at a loss (as expected) while I invest in product cost, PPC, etc. but I could use the guidance from here. What should I be doing now? How can I build the profitability quickly, etc.? Echo @RaySchultz below too.
Hey Chris! I would recommend using our launch tool for promotions and email campaigns to help increase reviews and sales. You can learn more by reaching out to our launch team at support@junglescout.com

How far along are you on your Amazon Journey? 🤘😎
@@junglescout I launched my first product 2 weeks ago. Im currently on the top of page 1 on several of my main keywords both in the sponsored ads as well as organically at the coast of a 69% ACOS. Having said that im now working on optimizing my PPC campaigns. Thanks for all your content its been a great help along the way...
That's incredible! Fantastic job! Keep us updated on your progress, for sure! 😄
Yes please
I would love to see a video on how to organize my campaigns within Seller Central. When I began my first launch I really didn't understand how to effectively do this and now i have individual one keyword campaigns then I have others that have groups of 50 to 100 keywords. Now that these are all running and im driving my ACOS down I would love it if I could organize these campaigns. I can only imagine that once I launch a second product running things the way I currently am its going to get really confusing. If you could help us understand how to do this that would be awesome. Thanks Guys
That's an awesome idea for a video! We'll definitely look into making that for sure! Thanks for the great tip - you star! 😄
yes!
Hey guys I have watched the entire MDCS! Thank you so much for sharing all this. I have recently launched my first product on AMZ without give aways and zero reviews. I run 3 very heavy PPC campaigns (Auto, Broad and Exact) with high bids. No FB ads or external traffic. Im targeting a mix of good keywords and getting decent impressions. My CTR is horrible with 0.16% and it has been 3 days now with zero sales. My CPC is around 0.83 cents. I have professionally done photos (white background and lifestyle) and a good optimized listing (bullets, product description - no EBC). I have a 50% discount voucher on my listing, yet still no sales. Am I missing something? How long does it normally take to get the first organic sales? Do you have some advice for me?
As you collect more data, your PPC results are going to improve. And as you optimize your campaigns, your sales numbers will likely increase as well. Also, promotions and email campaigns are key for a successful product launch strategy, Florian. Besides offering on-listing coupons through Amazon, make sure you distribute deeply discounted coupons through a deals site. Recap on Launch Strategies here!

@@junglescout hi guys, seen so many videos, fantastic stuff. I use google sheets like yourself, and have connected to my Amazon account. So when i bring up my ppc data reports it doesn't go to my google reports which I'm stuck with, and feel like I'm missing something. Does the data have to be done manually, or is it downloaded automatically by itself on google sheets, thanks in advance.
i am new to JS and working my way through the various MDCS. for prior series like this that appear to have concluded, do you ever do a 1 or 2 year out status update re: outcomes? how is it going after a year? two years? is it still selling? have you made any updates either to the product or listing? has it been profitable? etc
This is a GREAT idea, Jeff! I love it 🤗
I'll pass this over to the content team and hopefully we can see that in the not so distant future 🤩- LJ
Not my idea. I did a little more digging after posting this comment. Looks like many others have suggested over the years and you've indicated they're coming.

Hi Greg Guru! In episode mdcs-4-17 you said meet you in next episode, but after 6+ months no new episode came, you ended best episodes without ending chapter, we are waiting.......
That's true! Don't worry though, stay tuned! Something big is in the preps ;)
if we are launching a new product and use PPC, our conversion rate is going to be much lower because we dont have a lot of reviews. So when optimizing the campaigns, how do we know if that key word which got us 10 clicks and no sales would have gotten us plenty of sale if we had some decent reviews. should we get reviews first and then start PPC? whats the best strategy here? Last thing you would wanna do is put a keyword what would have gotten you lots of sales if you had reviews being put in the negative keywords section.
In this case, you can indeed first generate some reviews, and then run PPC to save some extra $$ 😉 And usually, even without reviews, a good keyword should convert and get you some sales! ^PW
Very helpful. Thanks!
Yes, please
Thanks, just what i needed
YEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!!!
Woo! We love your enthusiasm! 😄LET'S DO THIS!
Yes, more PPC please, thanks!
You got it! We love how much you guys were into this episode! 😄
Hey! Awesome video. I ask myself, what about Keywords that could be potentially profitable but have a low search volume? As I understood you correctly, you'd just wait for those Keywords to create ~10 clicks and then look at the ACOS. But what if the few clicks are just because my bid is too low? And I am actually not tapping out the keywords full potential, so to speak - What are your opinions about that?
Hi Herrlich, yes, you may want to increase your bid on these and monitor to see the effect. Overall, it is a risk that will be up to you to asses. I do recommend checking out our Keyword Scout tool as this could be helpful in assessing the full potential for keywords. You can check it out here: jnglsct.com/YT-KeyWordScout Hope this helps!
Hello guys!
Awesome video! Thanks for the great advice and your help!
One question: how long does it take on average to get a product rolling / selling?
It is my ifirst product (women slippers in case, for handbag / also a travel gadget -niche product, I'm the only one selling it, product not from China) and I think I did all my homework so far (SEO optimized all parts my listing, professional pics, stared PPC 3 weeks ago, analyzed my reports and concentrated on the keywords that perform better etc.), did facebook, instgram traffic, forums and asked all my friends to help me generate reviews (have 5 now) etc.
Nevertheless I hardly generate sales, only 3 (natural) sales up to now.
Now with the Corona crisis I understand that peole have a totally different focus. Though Amazon does great durig this time. So I ask myself what I can do better.
Therefore my question: what's the average time it needs to get a product making constant sales? What is your experience?
Thank you, best wishes to all of you!
Marian
Great question, Marina! 😃
This really is different for each seller and product. Some have success within a week or a month... While some took 6 months or even a year.
We do recommend a great Launch strategy, which our Launch features can help with 🚀

How's your #AmazonSeller Journey so far?! - LJ
yes
Useful information.
So glad you found it helpful! 😊
Could a competitor try and sabotoge your PPC by hiring someone or a group of people to keep clicking on your Sponsored product?
This is truly unethical, and it can happen. You may be referring to Click Fraud, though I believe Amazon has fail-safe methods in place to combat this. You may reach out to Seller Central Support for more information. 🥰😊 - FO
I have a question your "rule for 10 clicks no sale turnoff word" how about other marketplaces, I mean Americans tend to buy much more (they are more impulsive). I sell in Mexican Marketplace So that rule should change. I mean don't you think that rule should change depending on the market place?
You've raised a very good point! You could apply the same principle and may be reduce that number by 2-3 points. The idea here is to find "YOUR" golden number, the benchmark that works best for you!
Great video - thank you. But there is one point that I have always been confused about in the PPC reports: How you can correlate "7-day" sales data to TOTAL clicks. It seems that all the amazon click-related data is for whatever time frame you choose (could be 90 days), but the actual sales data is only for the last 7 days. Is that right? If that is true then you can't possibly draw a correlation between the total number of clicks over a long period of time and the sales those clicks generated in the last 7 days. You may have gotten a huge number of clicks AND sales on the day before you checked your data, but if you check 7 days later, it might look like you had zero sales with tons of clicks which would make you think that keyword is bad when, in fact, it is a great keyword but sales were 8 days ago. Am I interpreting this wrong? Or does this analysis require that you always set data filtering on all data to only the last 7 days?
Great question and observation! Sounds like you are really diving into your PPC campaigns!
You have it correct, you need to filter the data to only the last 7 days to see an accurate data set.
Happy Selling!
@@junglescout Thank you. I guess if I wanted to reconstruct all my meaningful data over the past few months then I would have to download 7 days worth of data going back in time. So 4+ reports worth of data for each month I want to go back, and then I could merge all that data into one single spreadsheet for consolidated analysis. Do you see any error in this theory?
Not a bad strategy! 🤓
I never really understood what "7-day sales"" means and hence my confusion about how to analyze my data. I found the following very informative description on Amazon so that now I can really understand what that data means.: "When a shopper clicks one of your ads, we track their activity after the click is registered in case the shopper comes back to purchase a product they clicked on previously. The time period for measuring purchases after a click is called an attribution window. The standard attribution window for Sponsored Products is 7 days*
Great explanation! Thank you for weighing in here!

Hi, How come I have the same search keywords displaying on multiple rows, some with 0 sales some with sales. How do I differentiate if they should be negatively targeted? Thanks!
Hi! They may be the same keywords but as a whole, different since they are combined with others. Work with the ones that do have sales first and see if that helps. The rest can be negatively targeted. -AL
More on PPC, Please
We hear you! 😄
Which is better to start....Amazon FBA or Shopify?
Totally depends on your business model! We think Amazon because then the shoppers are already there... as oppose to Shopify where you have to find a way to get them in your shop 😏

Hey thanks for the great info
What can be done for blocking ASINs from automatic campaigns? I have a ton of clicks for random stuff that is eating through my PPC
Awesome question! See you today at the AMA!
Yes
Do you keep keywords in the same campaigns or do you move them from Broad to Exact and do you turn off the Keyword from the previous campaign when you do that?
Here is a podcast that goes over Greg's strategy! - jnglsct.com/YT-Sales-Rank
does it mean even if your product has successfully ranked page one for the important keywords, you still want to run ads to sell them? I thought if you have ranked page 1 for the keyword, there's no need to run ads for that keyword anymore.
Hi Chan.
You do want to continue to run ads so you can keep your rank!
Happy Selling.
Can I negative exact asins?
Hey Daniela, maybe this thread can help; sellercentral.amazon.com/forums/t/can-you-set-an-asin-as-a-negative-kw-in-ppc/350418/7
Guys if you make 10K a month in sales , how much of that is profit in your pocket ?
Depends on profit margins, e.g. 20% profit margin = $2,000 profit per month
3000$
@@idinhatam1583 30% profit margin = $3,000
