Very nice video. After doing this, I have a couple of tips. 1) to remove the cover from the back of the assembly, take out the screw furthest to the outside of the car, loosen the other three and the cover can be slid off to the side. 2) When I turn my car on the headlights rise up. After replacing the bulb, the right one didn't rise up. It remained pointed down. I took it apart and found that I didn't have the new bulb pushed in all the way. I re-installed it and it works fine. 3) Take care when tightening the screws, especially if using an electric screwdriver. Two of my screws had stripped the plastic. The screws came out with plastic around the threads.
I installed a set today thanks to your video! Definitely saved me a bunch of money I would have had to otherwise shell out at the dealership! Thank you, Sir!
Great tutorial. Just used this to help me with my hid bulb replacement! Your video was perfect. 🎉 (I took the bulb out before unhooking the light. Seemed a bit easier with my hands). Thank u for this
Thanks, buddy. Just replaced my bulbs. Could not figure out how to get them out. Thanks to your video, I made it. Takes 5 minutes to replace a bulb, really. I installed osram in my volvo s60. Original bulb seemed to be osram as well, unless it has been replaced by the previous owner.
Thanks. I struggled at first getting the new bulb into the socket because I didn’t see or know about the plastic locking ring / lever. After Releasing the locking mech it was super easy. My Xc60 didn’t use torx bolts. The cover for the Main bulbs was clipped onto the larger assembly. Also agree that better price bulbs (5x to 10x cheaper) are worth the risk. My cheaper ones (5x cheaper) still have 2 year warranty
Considering the OEM ones were dimming and probably close to just going out it's at least as good as OEM. The main factor is the ridiculously low cost, and they are working great. That does concern me that they are SO cheap but so far so good.
Question, what's the part name of the small rectangular light that is right in front of the of the headlamp? Someone backed into me and broke it and I'd like to replace it, but I don't know what it's called. From the looks of this video, it should be fairly easy to reach, but I don't know what to search for. Thanks
Whoever designed the headlights to have the ballast at the bottom of the headlight needs to be fired. Like they didn't think moisture will collect down there and short the ballast.

Great to hear!

Our cheap replacements are still going. I figure even if they just last 2-4 years they are worth it.

What's that yellow light bulb called in the front headlight assembly?
Indicator light
Done this on my s60. But the light that failed still fails occasionally. I'm thinking balast?
Could be

I would guess that is the daytime running light. You could go to a Volvo dealer and ask what it cost and what it's called.

Nice but I wouldn’t get these ones , they are Chineas made , I rather pay 50$ more and get the quality ones to last me a few years.
So far so good. Did these mainly to try them for a video as people want to know. As soon as they die or dim I'll post up.
