I found my Guru in Bhagavan 3 years ago while blindly surfing through spiritual teachers on RUclips. His image on one of your posts David seemed very familiar in a way I can't explain. I have since listened to your talks repeatedly and the mystery of life has been lifted, I have no more questions. Bhagavans image now hangs on my wall and I have forever been changed. Thank you David Goodman, you have done this world a great service.
What you need is his portrait. When confused just look into his eyes a few seconds. Mind calms down & answers arrives within, problem solved., from personal experience.🙏🙏🙏
Dear David Godman, as your last name suggests, you are a heavenly messenger for me. I was born and raised in India but did not had the fortune to learn so deep about Bhagavan. Thank you so much for bringing that Divine Light in to other souls..
I think this whole series is better than anything made before or since, including Jnani 2018. Thank you Mr. Godman. These gems you have unearthed never get old nor shine any less.
I never get tired of these stories about Sri Ramana. Great seva you have done, David Godman, for bringing this material to wider audience, presenting all of this in such graceful manner. Thank you.
+Dana Toste (Danamarie) Thanks for the complimentary words. I still wonder why only half the people who started part one graduated to part two. There are some wonderful stories in this second part.
NEVER A SCANDAL ABOUT THIS MAN, HIS TEACHINGS & HIS INTERACTIONS WITH HIS DEVOTEES. GOD KNOWS HOW GOOD YOUR KARMA MUST BE TO KNOW IN THE BODY, AN EN-LIGHTENED BEING SUCH AS HE. SO MANY CHARLATANS OUT TO MAKE A BUCK THESE DAYS.
Dear David, Really superb recordings. Not just this, but all of this series is a wealth that Ramana devotees would cherish forever. Thank you so much. Highly appreciated. Maha guru sri Ramana Saranam. 🙏🙏🙏

So incredibly grateful for Davidji. Found his channel and found Bhagwan! It is only due to Davidji that I am drawn to Sri Ramana's teachings. I had heard of him but never read any materials on his teachings. So profound and so liberating. In fact now I want to plan a visit to the ashram. My faith is strengthened and I feel more prepared with the challenges of life. Jai Shri Krishna.
Mr. D. Godman you have provided priceless info about Maharshi that an American can understand thanks to your very logical discourse. Thank you, Sir!!!!
Thank You David Godman for this video. There is another such incident with Kanakammal. Bhagwan was gazing at her one day so intently that she couldn't remain her eyes open and went into Samadhi for a long time which she came to know afterwards from one of her female companions. She narrated this in an interview on You Tube.
Thank you for sharing all of this wonderful information with the world. I have never had a human guru, and stopped hoping for one long ago, as life did not send me one, as as every experience of awakening I've ever been fortunate enough to have seemed to come from what I secretly call my "higher self" or simply "Her, or "The Mothers" or "Them" or "The Is"... I could go on. I have never found an adequate name for my teacher in any human language.
Thank you David. You have brought to the people the narrations with simplicity and clarity. You have done your part. Each time I look at Bhagavans picture with out thought my eyes fill up. Don't know why?
Apologies. I accidently posted that comment below unfinished. All I wanted to say was that the universe teaches us all, as and when it will, and I had come to think of gurus as unnecessary, but recently my own guiding principal led me to discover Bhagavan here on RUclips, and I was amazed at how powerful even his digitally-reproduced image can be! The stories you are sharing carry great healing and transformative power too, as I'm sure you know. What I love about Bhagavan's example is the proof of how far and wide the influence of a single enlightened human being can radiate. Neither physical death, nor thousands of geographic miles, nor barriers of language and culture can separate the self from the self. I am filled with radiant hope now, because my one lingering source of sadness has been the perceived dilemma of passing on truth and healing to others. How can anyone make a difference in this world of shouting and advertising and all of the clashing titanic monsters of capitalism? Now I believe I understand. Just be. Beannachtai ort! (Blessings be upon you!) --N
I had a dream where I was visited by Bhagavan Ramana Maharishi. In this dream, I was trying to sneak into a house and reach a little child. When I found the girl, I saw that she was carefree and innocent. I looked into her eyes and said “Yaaru ma nee?” (Meaning “Who are you my dear?” in Tamil, my native language. “Naan Yaar?” is the self-inquiry “Who am I?” taught by Maharishi). I was surprised that I said this to her, because I could feel Shri Ramana’s presence very strongly, as if our minds had become one. When I looked into the child’s eyes, there was a powerful recognition between me and her. There were no thoughts, no judgments, and I could feel an electric spark and flash of white light between us (in the eyes). I felt like “God” or awareness within me had moved to the forefront of my body and was looking through my eyes into hers. As I was leaving, 3 men on the stairs were showing me photographs of Shri Ramana Maharishi. I started to wake up, and realized that the house in my dream was my own mind and the child in it was my own "inner child" that needed to receive this transmission. As soon as I awoke around 3am, I started reading his short writing of “Naan Yaar”/“Who am I?” When I fell back asleep, Maharishi was there with me again. This time, he was much younger. We were in a mall and we were going around. My sister had been with us but she went off and took the escalator to a different shopping floor. I was about to step on that escalator but Bhagavan held me back and said “Wait”, and the escalator suddenly changed directions. We both stepped on. We went down to this bar/restaurant and sat down. Then I pulled out my phone to text my sister saying we were here at this restaurant in case she needed to find us. I didn’t want to give up on her and wanted to leave some trace of my whereabouts. I kept glancing over at him and his young face. He understood me in complete silence. He went off for a while and came back with some kind of fruit bowl and started eating it. His diet was pure and sattvic. Some song was playing in my head that said: “Soul like never, soul like forever..” I woke up and went onto Bhagavan's website. I was surprised to read this passage below: When asked whether he gave initiation Sri Bhagavan always avoided a direct answer. But the initiation by look was a very real thing. Sri Bhagavan would turn to the devotee, his eyes fixed upon him with blazing intentness. The luminosity, the power of his eyes pierced into one, breaking down the thought-process. Sometimes it was as though an electric current was passing through one, sometimes a vast peace, a flood of light. One devotee has described it: “Suddenly Bhagavan turned his luminous, transparent eyes on me. Before that I could not stand his gaze for long. Now I looked right back into those terrible, wonderful eyes, how long I could not tell. They held me in a sort of vibration distinctly audible to me.” Always it was followed by the feeling, the indubitable conviction, that one had been taken up by Sri Bhagavan, that henceforth he was in charge, he was guiding. Those who knew would perceive when such an initiation took place, but it would usually be inconspicuous; it might happen during the chanting of the Vedas or the devotee might feel a sudden impulse to go to Sri Bhagavan before daybreak or at some time when few or none would be present. The initiation by silence was equally real. It entered into those who turned to Sri Bhagavan in their hearts without being able to go bodily to Tiruvannamalai. Sometimes it was given in a dream… ....[he] also initiated people in dreams by gazing intently into their eyes, and he would sometimes travel in the subtle body to visit people. He would appear to a disciple hundreds of miles away as a luminous figure, and the person would recognize his appearance in that form.”
So-o-o very wonderful, as if to say, "Silence may indeed be golden, but for us at this point, or juncture in the infinitude of life it's own-self, this series is absolutely precious beyond price." Just wond'aful! With Immeasurable Blessings from so MAny... Yours In the Lord, -=S.
Thanks David and henri for such a wonderful video. It made my day . I can't explain what you guys mean to me and thousands others like me. Without knowledge and inspiration that you people impart away, i would have been like wandering soul . The anecdotes of such great siddhas and saints keep giving you required potential unless you realise the supreme. Please do keep helping us and pervading awareness all around this way only. Jai Shri Ram 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

+Mary Gwen Dungan Yes. And I don't think I ever made fun of someone who *actually* does this. I make fun of people who only claim to do this. Note the difference: most of the claims about what Ramana did didn't come from Ramana but from people who spent decades around him in constant physical proximity. +Mary Gwen Dungan I have no positive knowledge of how this all went down, I just know that if Ramana was a Jnani then there was no cogitation and scheming about all this. It must have then been natural and spontaneous much like you don't know how you digest your food. In order to understand how a jnani operates, please refer to the books by Bernadette Roberts, especially "The Experience of No-Self" and "What is Self". As regards the exact date of Ramana's realization, I don't have it on me, but David Godman would know if anyone. *I also would recommend you watch the whole video about "Ramana - The Sage of Arunachala". "He blessed her by placing his hands on her head." Maragathamma returned to her house and resumed her usual life. Sometime in 1951, while she was sitting in her courtyard, she heard the voice of Ramana Maharshi saying that two grandsons would soon be born to her. He asked her to name the first one Ramana and the second one Dandapani. Ramana (the baby) was born in June that year, and Dandapani followed on 20th August. One more major Ramana experience was to come, and it took place about a week after the birth of her grandson Dandapani: On 28th August 1951, the day of the gayatri japa, Amma told her cook that she would manage the kitchen and that he could join the male members of the family for the japa. The cook was a Naishthika Brahmachari. He went upstairs, after placing a large vessel of water on the stove for making coffee. Amma went into the courtyard at the back of the house - where also the puja room was situated - to decorate the puja room with kolam or rangoli. The courtyard was the place where, on bhajan days, they all sat together and performed bhajans. There was a platform there, built around two trees, and when Amma opened the door into the courtyard, the sight which greeted her eyes froze her into a statue. In front of her was Ramana Maharshi, sitting on the platform in his usual pose, holding Dandapani’s hand. He spoke to Amma, ‘Are you afraid of me, thinking that I am a ghost? Please come close to me. I have come to talk freely with you, as you desired when you met me last time.’ He asked her to clasp Dandapani’s hand tightly and not let him go. Amma prostrated to the Maharshi and sat near him. He explained [many philosophical things] to her and initiated her into the gayatri mantra. Being a woman, Amma felt hesitant to recite that holiest mantra, but the Maharshi made her repeat it along with him. Much of his upadesa, however, was transmitted to Amma through his piercing look. Once again Amma prostrated to Ramana and tried to touch his feet. She could not do so. Ramana Maharshi laughed and told her that her gross body could not feel his subtle body. He blessed her by placing his hands on her head. That she could feel. The Maharshi then explained that he could touch her. The vision then vanished and she lost count of time. She was transported to the highest consciousness. In her very position of prostration she went into samadhi.
Why do you need a so-called 'guru'. Be your own guru, master whatever you need.. Gurus & devotees are just like masters and slaves. What is the use of a general without solders.. You people wish to fall on knees and kissing dirty feet. Get real people..you have everything you need, why do you look outside..

He blessed her by placing his hands on her head. That she could feel. The Maharshi then explained that he could touch her. The vision then vanished and she lost count of time. She was transported to the highest consciousness. In her very position of prostration she went into samadhi.
+James Austin thanks James. I was going to ask David the same question.
+Whirled, hello, the quote is from David Godman's blog.
wouldn't have a chance today..all all all focused on cell phones...
Please give your Buddha nature to the people who go in the spiritual pathway.
Why do you need a so-called 'guru'. Be your own guru, master whatever you need.. Gurus & devotees are just like masters and slaves. What is the use of a general without solders.. You people wish to fall on knees and kissing dirty feet. Get real people..you have everything you need, why do you look outside..
alas you can only understand things at your level...many more births and you might come closer to the self.
And also the woman at 7:30 was looking at Ramana's buttcheeks😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
